I've been going to the Northridge location for years ever since I was little. Happened upon this location recently to try and was so impressed by this location as well. Everything tasted just as I expected them to (which is excellent btw!) and the service was so attentive as well. Granted when we came to dine, no one else was there. Just us, the server and the kitchen plus a few pick up orders here and there. However, they chose to pay such close attention to us and were so kind. Very clean, relatively lots of parking in a busy street. Would definitely dine here again! Nothing warms my heart quite like a small business that feels like dining with family. read more

Sorry these are the best photos but I get food to all the time from Thai Original BBQ in Thai Town. It was definitely an Old School Taco Bell back in the day. I've been going to this Chain for years and they pretty much introduced my Family to Thai Food. My OG go to order will always be the S-1 BBQ chicken with Shrimp Fried Rice or the S-2 BBQ Pork Spare Ribs. That iconic Honey dipping sauce is amazing! I always ask for an Extra. Service Staff is always so nice and welcoming. They do have a little parking lot which is very convenient. They accepts cards as well. Go check them out if you are in Thai Town. read more

I ordered take out and I ordered ordered extra egg. I've ordered here before and literally this is what it looks like without extra egg. I called and they said take a picture maybe we didn't? Ended up calling me back later saying "okay we didn't give you an extra egg." What irritates me is they were so quick to say they did it and not even check. The second thing that irritates me is they stole from me. I cannot condone that. Luckily Grubhub helped get me a refund from what they stole from me. read more

The food was sooo good. The fried rice 100/10!! Seems like they cook the rice first alone so it can get a little color then add in the flavor so good similar to Mexican rice but Thai lol. Ordered the drunken noodles 7/10 lacking a little flavor but probably because I didn't get it spicy but so good ! Service was amazing they were so sweet and never rushed us once. This is my go-to Thai Original BBQ Restaurant. I prefer this location over the one in Glendale for its quality of food, service and cleanliness. However, they run out of Beef Sate (S8) before the afternoon/evening time. Make sure to call ahead before traveling to this location. Thai BBQ Spare Ribs - 4 1/2 Stars. Not what I was expecting. The meat was so tender and just fell off the bone, and the flavoring was mild and light. A little fatty, but so delicious and a good portion. This was served w their special sauce (see the yellow to-go sauce in the photo) which was light and heavenly) Panang Curry - 4 1/2 Stars. Absolutely one of my favorite Thai curries, and a dish I always get when trying a new Thai spot - this delivered. I requested mild, and this was still quite spicy, I can't imagine what the "hot" tastes like here. I got chicken as the protein and they weren't shy on it. Quite good! ^Update on the Panang Curry - 2 1/2 stars. Had it this weekend and it was lacking flavor altogether, no spice whatsoever, and just blah. Wouldn't get again based off of this. I have been on this restaurant five years ago. And after an arduous search of a good Thai restaurant. Alas, I am back! Their exterior may be a consternation on thy eyes but don't let that fool you because they serve good food, fast service, huge portion at an affordable price. I ordered their Chicken Satay with salad and fried rice and lemonade. And it was tasty, soft and the sweet dipping sauce was bloody brilliant. I couldn't stop dipping into it like my side chicks. Haha! Anyways, staff was decorous, competent and attentive; service was fast and on point. Indoor vibe was modest and perfect for commoners to dine-in like myself. Another classic case of finding a gem by accident. My brother has a favorite spot in the area that he goes to when he's in town. I asked him what it was called and his response was "I'll know it when I see it." We get to said place and it's close. Womp womp. We had to pivot real quick. I saw this spot and said we can't possibly go wrong choosing them with a name like that. We got seated right away. There was just enough of us to be able to eat family style with an abundance of orders. It's always better with a bigger group, you get to order more stuff. The service was good even for take-out. I feel that this is not the same restaurant I come to in the past (its been years since). The food tasted different from what I remember. I used to even make sure no meat is left on the satay skewers, it was that tasty. The food now lacks something. It was not the satisfying taste we are used to. I dint think i'll come back. Had a birthday dinner here for my mom. They check for vaccination cards. No biggie. Service is welcoming and quick. The seafood soup was delicious. Drunken Noodles and Thai bbq chicken were just as good as they remember. Their fried rice has very good flavor. I love the tofu delight. They have plenty of veggie options and a variety of items on the menu. I had forgotten about this place. I love it the same after all these years. Will be back more often. Ok this Thai restaurant is a little hole in the wall and may seem unassuming on the outside but let me tell you, they have some of the best ribs I've ever had! The sauce was tangy, smokey, and the meat was so tender fell right off the bone! The bbq chicken was also good and it was very nicely charred on the outside. I arrived here with my two kids (aged 5 and 13) around 8:30PM to be stopped before going in and told that we couldn't go in and that they only do "pick up orders" at this time, which I thought was unusual and unprofessional...they still had customers inside eating and they didn't close until 11PM. He kept saying that they only do pick up, I got it, but he kept repeating himself. I just wanted food, but first, I needed their a menu, so I asked for a menu. At this point I almost felt discriminated and my business was not wanted there, but it was my pescatarian kid's second choice of place to eat and we are Asian but don't look very Asian. (Mom don't fail now) I was bewildered with what I was just told. I looked at my older daughter, with no words just telepathically, "did he just say that?" I couldn't fathom that they would let me stand outside outside their establishment with two kids while we skim through their menu but I wasn't going to drive around looking for food again. A couple minutes later a nice lady invites us in and apologized. The man finally smiled at us and was apologetic. I've been driving for hours, I just found our hotel and we were HANGRY. I still wanted my food so we proceeded to sit down and order. I didn't want to deal with the aftermath of hungry and grumpy kids. We ordered shrimp fried rice and calamari for all of us to share because we just wanted to eat and go to bed. After receiving our orders the man says "thank you come back soon" with a huge smile on his face. (Oookay). Have a guest in town that loves this restaurant and hasn't had it in years so we had it delivered. Not only was the delivery driver, Kangwon, early but very professional and courteous. The portions were so huge so 2 people could eat 1 order together AND it was still pipping hot. I got the Shrimp Pad Thai with lots of Shrimp. Tangy, juicy and lots of noodles. They put the peanuts separate in case I had an allergy. A+ on that! My guest had the Chicken Noodle. He not only enjoyed the huge portion with lots of Chicken but was impressed they separated the salad from the noodles in the delivery box. He said it was very flavorful and just as he remembered!
