After a night at the Universal Horror Unleashed we were looking for a place to eat and we had a choice between The beast and another restaurant. Since I was undecided, we did a coin toss and it directed us to the other restaurant which I can't think of the name but their kitchen was closing soon so the hostess informed and we turned back to see if restaurant The Beast would take us and sure enough they still were serving! I am glad it worked out that way because I enjoyed every single bite of our food. We had a Chicken burger which was by far the best chicken burger I have had, best part about the burger was the avocado was nice and ripe and made the burger that much more creamy, the cheese and the bacon wrapped the whole thing together just perfect! We also ordered the Caesar Salad Wrap which was sooo gooood!!! The crunch of the romaine and the dressing all wrapped in a nice flour tortilla was so good for a late bite! Both dishes came with fries and I had the choice of salt or Cajun, I went with cajun and man were those fries so freaken good!!! I had a root beer float with my dinner, they use Dr. Brown's Root Beer which went well with the vanilla ice cream. Our waiter was nice. After looking at the menu and seeing that this was a Todd English restaurant, I was pretty excited to try it out. Turns out it didn't really uphold my thoughts as I had hoped. First, the place is quite cute, the people were very nice, and the food comes out quickly. However, the food was all meh. The good: The Prickly pouch was quite good, a bit strong, but with solid flavor and the pouch is a cute vessel for a drink. The great: Cornbread. I'm not sure what is on this cornbread, but it's incredible and should not be missed. If your meal doesn't come with it, grab a side - to share, or not - because you won't be disappointed. I could have eaten a loaf of the cornbread and nothing more and been thrilled. The St Louis ribs were tough, really tough, more tough than normal. The sauce was fine; I could probably go to a local grocery store and find something with more zest. The cole slaw was less than fine; don't choose it, especially when there is an option for corn bread. Sheesh, what an awesome experience and time at The Beast. The food and vibe was great. Perfect level of lighting and music. The huge standout was Johnny (Jonathan). This guy probably has the best customer service I've experienced in The Valley since moving here 4 years ago. He was friendly, attentive, and professional all at the same time. This is one of the few restaurants actually inside of the Area 15 building. The restaurant is pretty good sized and can hold a big crowd. The menu had something for everyone. Pizza, burgers, sandwiches, salads, they have it. My son and I placed our orders at the same time but his food came out about 5 minutes before mine did. I think my food was taken to a different table. I had the classic cheese burger and that is exactly what it is, classic. My son got the bbq burger and that bad boy was massive. Ate here before going to Meow Wolf for the convenience and was pleasantly surprised at how good this was. We were able to be seated right away on a Sunday afternoon at a high top table right near the kitchen. The menu features pizza and mostly bar food which was fine with us. We got an order of giant onion rings and the white pizza with mushrooms. The onion rings were stacked high and fried perfectly crispy, and the white pizza was fresh, cheesy, and crispy as well. We asked the waitress if we could bring our leftovers with us into O-Mega Mart as that's where we were going next. She told us, "I don't know, we don't really talk to them," and alluded to possible drama/ill relationship between them. Thought that was pretty odd. We learned shortly after we couldn't bring our leftovers in and had to throw them away. Several times throughout the meal we had to flag our waitress down to ask for things (more water, side of ketchup, etc.), despite there only being 2 other people in the restaurant at the time. She was very nice, but not attentive. Was not impressed with the service and the food was average. Best part was getting to keep the cool Area 15 plastic cup that our water was served in. 9/15/24 While seeing a concert at Area 15, we tried Beast for the first time beforehand. Greetings by the hostess and staff were warm and welcoming. The kitchen staff looked serious about the food they were making and the results of what we ordered were outstanding. We started with the beer flight of 3 5oz beers chosen from a decent amount of choices. We had the Hibachi bowl with chicken and it was so delicious! Huge, too! We also had the Classic Cheeseburger with the spiral potato. Although the burger was a bit "wet", the flavor was on point and we definitely felt the size of it was generous! Our server (no name on the receipt) was very attentive and timely during our dining experience. It would be great to have more lighting in over some of the tables as it was hard to see our food. The Beast is located inside the main area of Area 15. My husband and I went for dinner around 9:30 on a Monday evening following a great show at Lost Spirits next door. There was about a 15 minute wait for a table, so we grabbed a couple of cocktails at the bar nearby, Oddwood. We were then seated in the bar area. I really liked the vibe in the restaurant. It was a fun place to be with lively music, colored lighting on the walls, and great service. We started our meal with the tuna tacos. For our entrees, my husband chose the classic cheeseburger that was served with a "potato tornado" which reminded me a bit of the potato chips on a stick that you can get at a fair. I chose the hibachi bowl with shrimp. The tuna tacos were good, light and flavorful. The hibachi bowl was flavorful with lots of veggies and shrimp. Half of the bowl was mostly rice, but I didn't mind skipping it as the part with the shrimp and veggies was really a large portion. My husband enjoyed his burger. For drinks, my husband ordered the Smoking Skull Old Fashioned, which was exactly that. It was a smoked cocktail poured from a skull decanter. I ordered the Jolly Tentacle, which was a watermelon Jolly Rancher cocktail, and it tasted exactly like a watermelon Jolly Rancher, which was my favorite flavor as a kid. However, the drink was too sweet for me, so I only drank half. All in all, we had a fun and delicious dinner at The Beast. If you are at Area 15 and get hungry, I recommend The Beast. read more

Wow this place is great! The ambience is definitely very cool, which is why I was so shocked by how amazing the food was. (Sometimes when a restaurant looks so good aesthetically, it doesn't match up food wise.) The Junkyard Nachos were so well balanced and the BBQ Sampler (which our waiter warned us would serve 2-3 people when we nearly ordered a second entree so we ended up sharing) was amazing. My personal favorites were the pulled pork, corn bread, & brisket. The ribs were the only weak link on the plate: we found the ribs too dry. Definitely share this plate it's perfect for 2 people.
