If you're a meat lover, and you wanna celebrate big, then this is the place to go! They are famous for their steaks, but the seafoods are amazing too! The lobster bisque was the best I ever had! Very classy dining room with an old-fashioned charm. For a larger parties, you could ask for a private room and they will assign a room hostess to take care of everything for you. Our hostess Julie was wonderful. The Kona coffee crusted steak had a great aroma and was very tasty. We tasted a variety of their meats, including lamb lollipops, but I think their filet mignon is the best. Nice dessert menu as well. Our hostess recommended their crème brûlée topped cheesecake, however, I think the crème brûlée was just a very thin crust on top of the cake. I personally like their flourless chocolate cake the best! Price point is high, but worth the great quality of food, ambience, and tentative service!

Ambiance is nice and feels like fine dining. Love the capital hours for socializing. Service is good as waiters are polished, polite and respectful. Food was average for happy hour. I was not impressed overall. I am going to visit another location to compare. I want to give it another chance. I need to see the wow factor. I tried the Garlic Shrimp no garlic flavor. The shrimp were cooked well and presentation was great. Oysters Casino looked great, but fell short. They were cold and I know they are broiled. It was as if they were left sitting before they were brought out to me. Very lackluster and blah. Cocktails were AMAZING. I definitely will go back for drinks. I had the Peach Bourbon Smash it was 5/5 so GOOD! So definitely worth checking out happy hour. I will visit another location soon and compare.

I just love coming here on Christmas Eve. The food is always delicious and reliable and the service is attentive and friendly. I usually stick to the same items I loved but this time I decided to try a different dessert. Their warm apple tart is so so good. It's a mix between a cake and pie. Absolutely loved it. As always, the meats were cooked to perfection. The mashed potatoes are so soft, and melt in your mouth and the creamed corn is always a hit for us.

This review is for the capital hours - capital grille happy hour. It's M-F 3-6pm. After arriving there was a private event in the bar/lounge area so we were seated in the dining area. Our waiter was pleasant and attentive. The service was good. I decided to try the Peach Bourbon Smash cocktail and Cast Iron Garlic Shrimp for food. The Peach Bourbon Smash cocktail was strong and tasty. It was also reasonably priced at $10. I'd definitely go back to get this cocktail or try another one, maybe the old fashioned. The Cast Iron Garlic Shrimp was ok. It really was seasoned well and overall lacked flavor. So for the happy hour at Capital Grille, I'd suggest you skip the food and enjoy the cocktails.

Great food, great service! Always a great experience and the food is always cooked to perfection. Lobster mac and cheese and creamed spinach are a must and if available, the lobster bisque is wonderful. Cheesecake and Coconut Pie for dessert. Great night out with a couple of close friends.

Ready to spoil Lucy Abigail as she works through her bucket list

This might not be the typical review but it is well-deserved. Last week, Lone Start Bulldog Rescue had the honor of bringing foster Lucy Abilgail to the Plano location to help her with her bucket list. Chef Kyo, Rudy and Natalie went out of their way to spoil Lucy, making sure she knows only love and abundance in the time she has left. They rolled out the "red carpet", set a beautiful "table and treated her to yummy snacks and even some dog toys. Who does this? For a dog? The Capital Grille in Plano - that's who! Made my heart extra full to see the kindness they shared XOXOXO

    Poor tasting Burger

Capital Grille in previous experiences has been phenomenal Tonight the service and the food were disappointing We decided to sit in the bar and compare the service and food to our recent experience at Eddie Vs The bartender/server was distracted and spent a lot of his time talking to another server and looking at his phone We had a seafood tower and the quality of the oysters using large golf oysters was very disappointing and not edible My partner ordered butternut squash, but apparently it was not usable so they replaced it with lobster bisque that was just mediocre I had the scallops with risotto that was so salty it could not be eaten Compare this to our recent visit to Eddie Vs where the manager came by twice, the food was better and atmosphere was lively

THANK YOU Capital Grille Plano! Capital Grille made our 10 year anniversary for our large group even more special. Service here should receive 10 stars. The food was extremely superb. The Grand Plateau started our group off. You can't go wrong with Steak or Lamp chops here. We had so many delicious sides too. Brussel sprouts was actually my favorite. We definitely enjoyed a great dining experience.

Porcini bone Bone-In Ribeye - so good! Done blue/rare and was perfect. Great marbling and flavor!

Service and food were excellent! They sat us quickly and got us bread and drinks super fast. My steak was done perfectly - blue. Highly recommend the porcini bone in ribeye. The lobster mac and cheese was a great side to go with it. The yuzu highball was really good - also had a dirty martini and loved that they poured it tableside. We will be back!

One day he looked at me and said, "You know what would make me feel better? Let's get a bruschetta at Sixty Vines." Hard to argue with that kind of therapy. I remember when Sixty Vines first opened on the Tollway. The whole wine-on-tap concept and that impressive draft wine cooler were some of the hottest tickets in town. It reminded me of years earlier when cold sake on draft at The Blue Fish on Frankford was something everyone seemed to be talking about. There is always that one new idea that suddenly makes going out feel a little more interesting. For whatever reason, I've only been to Sixty Vines a handful of times over the years. Not because I didn't enjoy it -- it just never became part of my regular rotation. Now my son is changing that. There's something pretty cool about watching a place you remember as new and trendy become a favorite of the next generation. Apparently Sixty Vines still has it. And according to my son, when life isn't going quite right, a good bruschetta there can make things a little better. I'm glad the new generation is giving them some well-deserved recognition. Maybe Dad needs to start listening and visit a little more often.

We fully understood that we were early and were told that we had been checked in and that our table would be ready closer to our reservation time. We had absolutely no issue with that. While waiting, we found an area near the bar and ordered appetizers and drinks, spending close to $300 before we were ever seated for dinner. At approximately 8:20 p.m., after our reservation time had passed and we had received no update, we approached the host stand to make sure they knew we were still waiting. We were told that they were waiting for seats to become available and that we would be seated soon. At 8:30 p.m., we were still waiting. When we approached the host stand again, the response was noticeably less courteous. We were told that they could not ask people to leave their tables and that we would be seated when they could accommodate us. At some point during this exchange, we were also told that once we were eventually seated, they would provide us with complimentary appetizers. I want to be very clear: this was never about receiving free food or having something taken off our bill. We had already spent close to $300 on drinks and appetizers while waiting. I neither wanted nor needed complimentary appetizers. What I wanted was for our reservation to be honored within a reasonable amount of time--or, at the very least, for someone to communicate honestly with us, acknowledge the problem, and treat our family with respect. Offering free appetizers did nothing to address the actual issue. By approximately 8:35 p.m.--20 minutes after our reservation time and nearly 50 minutes after we initially checked in--it was apparent that there was no urgency to seat us and, more importantly, no meaningful communication about when we could expect to be seated. At that point, General Manager Landry became involved. Unfortunately, rather than attempting to de-escalate the situation or offer any reasonable solution, his attitude made an already frustrating situation substantially worse. When I reminded him that we had an 8:15 reservation and asked when we could realistically expect to be seated, he again told us that we would be seated when they could seat us. I explained that our party included a pregnant mother-to-be who had not eaten and was beginning to feel unwell, as well as a young child. There was no apparent concern or effort to accommodate the situation. When I pressed him for a more specific timeframe, Landry responded that "it's just a reservation." That statement was astonishing to me. A reservation is a commitment made between a restaurant and its customer. I certainly understand that restaurants run behind and that unexpected circumstances occur. What I do not understand is a General Manager dismissing a customer's reservation as though it carries no significance whatsoever. I asked Landry what Sixty Vines' policy would be if I had arrived 30 minutes late for my reservation. Instead of addressing the obvious point behind the question, he accused me of being "aggressive" and informed me that, if he wanted to, he could simply ask our party to leave. That response was completely inappropriate. Rather than acknowledging that his restaurant had failed to honor our reservation, apologizing for the delay, or attempting to find a solution, the General Manager chose to threaten to remove a family that had been patiently waiting and had already spent nearly $300 at the restaurant. A few minutes later, Landry walked past our group and visibly shook his head at us. It was dismissive, disrespectful, and entirely unbecoming of someone entrusted with managing a restaurant and representing the Sixty Vines brand. Ironically, the person who demonstrated the most professionalism and empathy that evening was the young server who had been taking care of us near the bar. She observed what was happening, approached us on her own, apologized for the situation, and asked whether there was anything she could do to help. Her response stood in stark contrast to that of the General Manager. By this point, we had closed our tab. The pregnant member of our party had become so unwell while we waited that she actually vomited. We informed Landry of what had happened, and again there appeared to be little concern. His primary focus remained his assertion that we had "yelled" at him. To be clear, customers who have waited well beyond their reservation time, received virtually no meaningful communication, and then been told by the General Manager that "it's just a reservation" are understandably going to become frustrated. A capable General Manager should know how to manage that frustration professionally rather than escalating the situation and threatening to remove the customers. Ultimately, we left without ever having the birthday dinner.

We had a reservation, which is recommended because the restaurant was very busy on a Saturday night in May. We opted to sit on the patio because the weather was gorgeous. I am not sure if the patio is climate controlled in the summer or not. But on that night we were there, the weather was mild so it was very pleasant. They have happy hour on Saturdays so I started with an IPA on tap and the wife had a Prosecco, also for happy hour prices. This is a tapas restaurant so I will try to remember all that we had. Manchego cheese board: excellent. The crisps and jam were perfect with the cheese. Potato torilla: excellent. The flavors melded very well and it was very tasty. It's filling so keep that in mind. Ceviche de jalapeno: excellent. Not too spicy, the shrimp and seafood was fresh with no fishy smell. The plantains were cooked perfectly, not greasy. Brisket on crostini: excellent. Forget the name but they are a winner. Brisket is good quality and the flavors come together nicely. Chicken skewer: excellent. They smartly use chicken thighs so the meat is juicy and tender. Tuna tartare: good. It actually was my least favorite. The quality was very good but it did not have much flavor. I needed some heat, some acid, something to give it a kick. We were absolutely stuffed and did not try dessert. Our server Marcellus was excellent. Very helpful and pleasant throughout. He never disappeared for too long. Overall, we had a great meal and will undoubtedly return here again.
