Located inside the Santa Anita Mall this Coffee Bean does get very busy. They don't always have clean tables but if you are just getting a cup of coffee and head to another store I like it ! While browsing the mall last month, I passed by this Coffee bean and since it was hot outside, I thought the drink would help me bear the weather. Worst Iced Mocha ever. No wonder there were no lines. I am so glad I ordered just a small size because I would've never been able to finished anything bigger. My coffee tasted like water with a bit of mocha powder floating around in the cup. Ice cubes was nonexistent. U was expecting an iced mocha to be sweet, but I guess they make it differently here, with no chocolate syrup and no sweetener. I've been here several times and have always been satisfied however, today was far from the acceptable. I tried to order a couple different drinks but each drink I asked for, they didn't have the items required to make it. Seems like management is slacking BIG time because that was the same problem with the customer in front of me. I feel bad for the baristas. They looked over worked and stressed whereas in the past there was a different vibe. This is a clear reflection of mismanagement and I hope something is done because I love this little spot in the mall with the cheery baristas but if they can't fulfill our orders, how can they be cheery? Located in front of Michael Kors/The Body Shop, not an actual store. 1. It's hard to read the menu from the line, possibly from the shadows of the structure. 2. I will never order an iced coffee again. You order a coffee with room and add the milk and whatnot at the bar. And I can never make it to my liking which is why I always order iced coffees at coffee shops. 3. Black Forest blended - chocolate, coffee, and cherry. If you're not a fan of maraschino cherry taste, try asking them to add less of the cherry syrup. I'm not a fan and the first couple sips took some getting used to, but then I found myself inhaling the drink (in other words, it's addicting). Seats around the booth are usually taken. read more

This CBTL is located in the center of the mall. I feel like they moved slightly closer to Nordstrom when they renovated but I can't really tell. It's a great place to pick up a drink as you're shopping. The team there is nice as usual and I was able to get my drink really quickly. Some of my go to drinks are the Mocha Latte (espresso based, not just regular coffee, so it makes it taste way better) and the tea lattes are really good as well. Their ice blended drinks have a stronger taste to them as well, the black forest ice blended has a unique blend of chocolate, coffee, and cherry. CBTL drinks are way better than Starbucks but there just aren't as many locations so they're a bit harder to find. The cheddar jalapeño bagels are fantastic. I recently just discovered this through a friend and they're really amazing, make sure to get it toasted. Be sure to sign up for the app and collect points for your purchases. What I like the most about their app is that you can scan your QR code to check in and you can still get your points. You don't have to preload any amount on there to collect points and rewards. read more

Worst customer service! Had to get a refund today since the barista and shift leader both messed up my drink. I asked for a vanilla cold brew with half and half and cream cap. When they handed my drink it didn't have half and half I told the barista that it didn't have it, the shift leader then grabbed the drink and poured the milk on top. The cup now was over filled and had cream all over the cup. The shift lead just tossed the drink at me and said "there it has milk now". I was going to let it go but when I tried the drink, it didn't have any vanilla flavor and I dirtied my sweater since the drink was spilling. Won't be coming back here that's for sure. read more

The staff is always very attentive and helpful when assisting me (though, I do notice the boys seem kind of aloof but still nice!!) This location is a small redesigned kiosk downstairs, somewhat in the middle of the mall. I have never seen a long line, the service is friendly and fast and it's convenient for me because I love Westfield Santa Anita. I come here because I found and fell in love with their "Peach Jasmine Cold Brew" with peach puree. If you like peaches and lightly sweetened iced tea, then this drink is utter perfection and so, so refreshing during SoCal's heat waves. I told my sister (a Starbucks and fellow tea lover) about it and it intrigued her, so she bought one out of curiosity and now she's obsessed too. Starbucks recently added something similar to their menu, the Peach Green Tea. Don't even bother, especially after having Coffee Bean's peach tea. Their version was beyond bland and disappointing. When we go to Westfield, we know two things are certain: one, we're going to take a look at Sports Chalet and two, we know we are going to stop off at Coffee Bean for a drink. As a former CBTL barista, I am super picky about how my drinks are made. Temperature, foam consistency, sweetness, specifically. I'm mostly let down at CB, but the boyfriend loves their drinks. Because lattes usually come out disappointing, I just ask for a regular drip and doctor it to my liking. The problem with this is that some workers aren't changing out the coffee as often as they should (every 30 minutes when I was working) On average, this kiosk gets it right. Last year, I would have ranked them a 3, but lately I've had very consistent drinks. Even if you're low carb-ing, you can always get no sugar added drinks. And, in addition to soy, they offer almond coconut milk (which is under 1 g carb) read more

Had to complain about the drink being 90% ice and 10% drink. I paid $4 for a drink not a cup filled with ice. So the guy made the drink again but this time stood there staring at him make it. Notice the other drinks were made like this. Fill the whole cup with ice than pour itty bitty amount of the drink and people didn't notice it. When the guy remade the drink, he filled the cup more than half and than he filled it with ice. That's how you are supposed to do it. Give what people paid for. Shady. It wasn't just that one guy doing this so it's common practice at this location. If you order a drink here, just notice if it's filled with just ice and one little sip and half your drink is gone. If that's the case make them redo your drink or make a complaint. Other Coffee Bean are not like this. read more

While it is the closest Coffee Bean location to where it is, I'm not at all pleased at the quality; mainly how this site seems to overload everything with ICE. I love Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf. See my reviews of the one in Irvine, because they all do things a little differently. That said, they mainly all taste the same as they use the same ingredients but vary in quantity or in technique employed to make them. Personally I love coffee bean and I've never really seemed to have a problem until now, yesterday I purchased 2 large ice blended coffees and a blue berry muffin before I went into work. I received my coffees but left without my muffin granted it was kinda my fault. But by the time I left it was too late for me to go back. So I came in today and ordered another coffee and asked if I can possibly get the muffin I didn't receive yesterday and they said no, it was yesterday I can only claim the muffin. This place is mediocre. My main thing is there is a guy here who makes the drinks and has an annoying voice that he uses to yell out people's names. It's like super annoying, much louder than everyone else at the store, and he was just now complaining about his job, which would be fine, but sometimes, it sounded like he was taking out his frustration as he called out people's names. She purposely messes up my drinks, Once i ordered a regular tea & she added milk.. when I politely brought it to her attention, she questioned why I didn't want the added milk "you don't like tea latte" she asked. .. So Strange. I just wanted what I ordered and paid for.. It's a shame, everyone else is so friendly & nice!! ALSO stay away from the food! 3 people I know had horrible food poisoning from this location.. They also don't ever update their app so you can't order things that they do have in stock.
