This was my second visit to Hampton Social and it is quickly becoming one of my favorite brunch spots for friends or family. The coastal-inspired décor is bright, charming, and very Instagram-worthy, and the live music added such a fun vibe to the experience. The food truly impressed me. The Manhattan-style lobster roll with warm butter was outstanding, fresh, and flavorful. It is easily one of the best I have had in Dallas. The crab and shrimp bruschetta was just as delicious, and the espresso martini was perfectly balanced. I would highly recommend it. I also tried their mermaid mist mocktail which was pretty good too. The monkey bread and truffle mushroom pizza were good, though not particularly memorable, but I would happily return for the other items. Service was friendly overall, although our server did try to clear plates a little too early while we were still eating and there was food left on our plates. It was not a dealbreaker, but enough to knock off a star as she did it twice so we felt a little rushed. Overall, Hampton Social delivers on food, drinks, and atmosphere. Came here for happy hour with a friend. They have 1/2 off menu with quite few drinks included, wine, beer and 3 cocktails all good. The place has only been open a few months but i can see it being a main space on weekends or post work. It has 3 floors (soon to be 4 in the future) where one floor is the rooftop. They only have the rooftop open on weekends unfortunately but the first floor has a large outdoor patio where a portion of the bar is outside as well. They also have live music during happy hour, bare minimum on Wednesdays. The service was good and i didn't have to wait long for a drink thanks to Zachary behind the bar. read more

Checked out Hampton social as my mom was wanting to come here since she really liked the Tennessee location, sad to say that our experience wasn't the best! Food was okay but salmon was extremely fishy (not fresh). Food came out fast so that was a plus but while waiting on dessert, we were given serving plates that had freshly chewed GUM on it!! I was so grossed out after touching it while passing plates around and our server just nervously laughed it off without giving a resolution. My boyfriend and I had to ask for them to do something about it- which ended up being a comped dessert (not enough in my opinion). Our server, Jesse, was absolutely amazing. His explanation of the menu makes you think he cooked the items himself. My friends and I got drinks, appetizers, and entrees and let's say the water was the best part of the meal. The calamari batter was old and lots of additions even a deep fried lemon . I attended the R&B social event with a couple of friends. We were very excited to attend, as it sounded like a blast. I attempted to order a drink, that was apparently a specialty drink on the 2nd floor. This is my first time there so I have no idea what the rules were. The bartender then proceeds to yell and berate me for trying to order the drink I wanted. It was completely unnecessary and just straight up rude. It ruined my experience immediately. We visited The Hampton Social Dallas yesterday after the Dallas Christmas Parade to try a new place, and it ended up being one of the worst dining experiences we've ever had. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, and we will never be returning. The customer service was awful from the moment we sat down. Our server, D'Andre, took over 25 minutes just to bring creamer, by the time it arrived, my husband's coffee was already cold. He also asked us twice what our food order was and kept running back to the computer, which makes me believe he never rang in our meals correctly. That would explain why only our kids' food came out, and they had completely finished eating long before ours was even being prepared. After waiting over 50 minutes for our food, we asked D'Andre for an update, and he rolled his eyes at us. It was rude, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable. We finally reached a point where we couldn't wait any longer and decided to leave. When we asked him for our check, he responded with a nasty attitude and basically told us to just go. For a restaurant with higher prices and a nice atmosphere, the service was shockingly bad. This visit was frustrating, disappointing, and a complete waste of time. Anyway! The restaurant is beautiful. We ate outside on the first floor. There are 3 floors in total. The roof is totally uncovered, but they have indoor and outdoor seating on the first two floors. The food was really good. The cocktails were also really good and strong as well. The food is priced a little higher, but honestly it's at the correct price point there was nothing we didn't love. We got the calamari and Brussels sprouts as starters. My friends all got the lobster rolls and I got the salmon. They loved the lobster rolls and I absolutely loved the salmon. The greens and carrots it comes with are SO good and the glaze is amazing. I was between that and the short rib, but I'm so happy with my choice. (I'll be back to try the short rib!) Despite our server having an off day, I'd say the Hampton social is the place to be this summer. 10/10, highly recommend. The place is super duper cute and the music was a vibe got me feeling like I was somewhere tropic and the beach was close by. We sat in the 2nd floor right next to the patio on the high tops. Vibes were amazing. Let's get into the food~ 10/10 east coast oysters! The servers let us know there were big and small ones and we requested only the small ones and they were great. 6/10 Tuna Tartar: the freshness was fine and it had guac at the bottom and pickled tings on top but it was missing flavor. This is good if you add the oyster sauce on the right in the picture to it with two lemons. Then this became a 8/10 flavor for the tuna tartar. It needed something a lil more acidic and something a lil more sweet imo. 8/10 Clam Chowder- I would get it again. It's kinda hard to find good clam chowder in Texas. On the thicker consistency side. 6.5/10 Oven Roasted Octopus - on the bottom left covered in greens. I think the octopus temperature was cooked perfectly but the flavors weren't hitting for me. I think it could have used a little more char and flavor. The tonnato cream sauce I felt was missing something. I ended up putting this in the clam chowder and it paired well. 9/10 - the Vodka Sauce Pasta was really good! I would come back for it. The flavor was all there and the basil paired well with it. We got it with chicken. 8/10 Truffle Fries- they were kinda room temp/cold when we got them. Could've been crispier. As always, out and about trying new places! We decided to try out Hampton Social today and sadly it was a let down. Let's start at the top. Ordered the spinach dip to snack on while we chatted. It was seriously heavy on salt. There was a hint of lemon in it, which was nice, but the salt was overbearing. The portion was a dollop - literally, like the size of a melon baller. Well, hopefully the entrees will be better... My brunch date had the Denver Omelet. Disappointing. Flavor was just meh and the portion size was rather flimsy for the price. Presentation 2 out of 10. I had the Seaside Fish Sandwich. It wasn't bad but again - meh. I had fries as my side and couldn't even eat them. Again WAY too much salt. I LOVE salt - I probably eat too much of it - but this was too much, even for me. Presentation 3 out of 10 - would have been 2 but the little metal basket the fries were in was really cute! The building is cool. We made the mistake of sitting outside. Very noisy (not the restaurants fault) but I would advise against sitting on the patio here. Also, a lot of homeless in the area. Again, not the restaurants fault but something to keep in mind if trying this place out - especially because parking is difficult and you'll have to walk a bit. Just be aware. A real turn off for us was the auto "service charge" of 18% buried in the receipt with the standard place for a tip at the bottom. This caused our server to lose 4% in tip. I always tip 22% minimum - don't try and sneak a tip in there and then ask for more. Just bad business. We were a party of 2 - no reason to add on 18%. For this reason alone we won't give Hampton Social a second chance (in hopes they are out of salt next time!) We did not order 18% so don't list it on my receipt as if it was ordered from the menu. Not worth a trip back. Over priced, food that is average at best and deceptive in their tipping practice. Bummer. read more

What started off a nice Sunday brunch turned to an unpleasant experience. We opted for patio dining when the weather shifted Sunday and wind gust blowing over chairs. Not one time was we offered to move indoors. When we asked our waiter she came back and said there were no tables available. We decided to move to the bar. The chicken and waffles were not good at all and when my guy asked for toast it took over 25 min for us to get it after asking multiple times. After our $177 tab that included gratuity the waitress had the audacity to advise that the gratuity is split between them and the bar etc and any additional would go straight to her. Lovely bar and restaurant with an outdoor patio downstairs and a rooftop; very courteous service in Downtown Dallas. It has a really nice roof terrace and a ground floor outdoor patio / terrace in the front. This is a small and very upscale restaurant chain in a few states, and I've been to the one in Nashville TN before. They have good seafood. The happy hour looks super and the prices are good for the special items on the happy hour menu. I decided to have a warm lobster roll from the regular menu which tasted a little fishy and was about $40 with tax so I can't say I adored the food, but the house made potato chips were great. Caesar salad was mid. I did think the service was outstanding and they gave me tons of refills on my Arnold Palmer. Personally, I wouldn't come here again for the food. But I do like the vibe. Cute and casual and a great place for a date or rendezvous with a friend. I think the best thing here is the bar, outdoor terrace and the happy hour.
