My friend and I stopped here for a quick lunch. We both ordered at their kiosks and quickly found a table to wait for our food. Our food didn't take too long to be ready! I ordered a mushroom burger with a veggie patty and a side of mac & cheese. Both were good. I'd definitely get the burger again. I would get the mac & cheese if I were sharing with others. Getting both was too much for just me. My friend had a bite of it but not much. Will definitely come back to try more items.

First time visiting this location of The Melt. They are located in the Rivermark Plaza with Safeway, Red Robin Burgers, etc. The parking can be hectic and crazy during peak lunch hours. The interior is nice and clean. They have inside and outside seating options. Four kiosks to order from in addition to a cashier. Pager or phone text option. House music playing throughout the restaurant. Two separate single-user men and women's restrooms. The service is friendly and welcoming. Three Cheese Classic: gooey grilled cheese goodness of aged all-natural cheddar, Muenster, and fontana on crispy artisan bread. I added Impossible patty +$4.99 (4/5). Hand Spun Chocolate Shake (4/5) - creamy, thick and a pretty good shake. They came around offering a sample of their freshly baked chocolate chip cookie. Ooey gooey goodness. Support your local business.

On a cold, wet New Year's Eve, we went to the Melt to get burgers and fries so we could close out 2025 with a good old American style dinner. The restaurant was clean and plenty of menus available to help you pick out what to eat. I loved the "You melt my heart away" back drop. There weren't a lot of people, but the cooks in the back were hustling with all the pick-up orders. A sign the food is good. We ordered the Swiss and shroom burger, single and double. The Swiss cheese was melted and stretchy. I could tell they used real cheese, not the processed stuff that melts off. We will go back again.

The ambience is OK, the place has limited seating for a larger group (5+). The service was fast and the staff are friendly. I got an impossible spicy mission burger - the taste is good but it is expensive. I've had impossible burgers at other places but +$3 price tag here is high. Would be nice to have a veggie patty option as well.

This is another location which not only it recently opened here before the one in Palo Alto and Sunnyvale, but also it's now the closest location from where I live. It's in Rivermark Plaza at Santa Clara and looks better than the one in Sunnyvale. It looks really nice inside. It's as if I walked inside a casino. Ordering there in-person is almost impossible because staff is very busy. Good thing that they kiosks allowing them to save time. I don't mind using them tbh. Before I had one of their regular sandwich melts which I believe comes with mac and cheese. I wanted to try one of their burgers and it's gotta be one of the best burgers out there. Its very juicy and patty-to-bun ratio is at the right spot! I also wanted to try one of their snickerdoodle milkshakes and really tastes sweet and delicious. Sometimes I gotta twirl it to get lessen the viscosity of the drink. The Parmesan fries are really good though. I saw a few pieces of garlic and ate them anyways. This is one of the best sandwich spots in the Bay Area and I'm looking forward to trying more stuff!

I have normally ordered food from The Melt through DoorDash, but on our way to Red Robin, we saw The Melt and decided to eat there instead since it was a "burger" day. Unfortunately, I failed to take a picture of my burger because it smelled so good and I was anxious to eat it! The patty was like a "smash" burger and super yummy! A bit messy, but worth it. We also ordered garlic fries, which were on point. There are kiosks on the side to order, but we placed our order with the cashier, who was very nice and helpful when asking questions about the menu. She even came around with some samples of their chocolate chip cookie that was delicious. I love the garage door opening!

I've been here many times and always have a great experience eating here. The staff works here are friendly and helpful. When I had trouble ordering from the kiosk, Liz was very patient and helped me out with my customization. We ordered the Patty Melt, Swiss and Shroom Meltburger and they were both delicious. The garlic fries is the bomb! The regular fries are good and crispy too. The tomato soup is good but a bit too sour to my taste. They have limited selection on their milkshakes and they're good and thick. Overall their food is great. The place is clean overall and they close late. It's great for late night dining when everywhere else is closed. It also has a nice open indoor-outdoor dining environment. There is a garage door that opens up to the outside during a nice day or closes up when it's cold and windy. I'd say they need to improve the software in the kiosk to let us customize certain menu items such as Patty Melt. It's very strange they let you customize burgers but not Patty Melts.

The patty melt is my go to here. Burger was fantastic with the grilled onions. Tried the tomato soup which was very good! My wife who is a tomato soup connoisseur loved it. Wasn't happy that the garlic Parmesan fries were cold. Not sure how that happens since the burger and soup were hot. They made new fries, but it took awhile.

This is probably one of the best fast food places you will ever go. You could come here for the fries alone. The Parmesan fries were awesome. The ranch dip is homemade it's awesome. I got a Italian grilled cheese and that was amazing. So it's one thing to have great food, It's a whole other ball game to have great food and great service. The service was so good and I would give this 10 stars. They have a lady named LIZ working in the front. She walked me through the menu and was so confident. Just nice staff. I think they put something in their food and I think it may be crack. I'm not sure but I'm that addicted that I need therapy to stay away. 1) Garlic Parmesan Fries - this is how you do garlic parm fries. Fresh garlic, shredded parm and crack. Can't get better than this. 2) All their burgers - there's just not one bad burger they make, they don't know how to make bad burgers. Holy f*ck! It's drippy, tasty goodness is burger perfection. It's like they meticulously think about every bite when assembling. The care really shows. I just made a 5 review about a burger joint. Who tf does that? Why? Cause they're that good. I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich was rather delicious. Perfectly crispy but still juicy because of the sauce. Also ordered the bacon barbecue melt. Also very cheesy and delicious. Our first trip to Melt certainly will not be our last! Starting with the ambience: we loved the open feel and seating that extends to the patio. Next: the service was fast and friendly; we couldn't ask for more. Clark greeted us and checked on us at our table in a polite, warm way. We felt at home with him. Now the food: I know burgers as I have won multiple burger competitions and these were fantastic. Best burger I've had in the area. I had been excited about this location for a while as my job was closer to here than the one in Sunnyvale. I came in knowing what I wanted so that was easy. I ordered the BBQ Bacon Meltburger. Oh man what a burger. The onions were crispy and the sauce was addicting. Not too sweet but not too spicy either, just right. I wonder if they make it in house? What drove home the whole experience was the service though. I'd been having a stressful morning at work and was super hungry. I wanted to just place my order as fast as possible and isolate myself at a table. When I walked up to the counter I was greeted by such warmth and friendliness that my stress slowly melted away, no pun intended. I think her name was Liz. Tonight, my mother, my wife, my sister, and myself went to Beth Land in Santa Clara. That was amazing to discover the word of Jesus. However, my wife found this place called the melt, and we decided to check it out. I have to tell you. We met a young man, David, his pleasant. His professionalism was beyond most servers that I've seen and to find out. He was just there on his first night of training from Southern California. We talked back-and-forth. I gotta tell you. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon for lunch recently. The restaurant is located in downtown San Jose off north 1st street. Parking is accessible in the back parking lot. The spaces can be tight but there is additional parking on 2nd street as well. The restaurant is fairly large with plenty of tables and high tops. A full service bar is located to the right as soon as you walk in. The restaurant is clean and has nice modern decor. The vibe is welcoming and bustling. We ordered uncle Greg's smoked ribs with cornbread, candied yams, and rice, beef brisket with cornbread, coleslaw, and mac & cheese, watermelon lemonade, lemonade, and a glass of Chardonnay. Everything was delicious and hearty. Both the ribs and beef brisket were tender and juicy. All the sides complemented the bbq meats very well. The candied yams were sweet and tasty. Mac & cheese were creamy and gooey. The cornbread was tasty and moist in the inside. Both lemonade drinks were refreshing and hit the spot. Overall we enjoyed our experience at Jackie's Place. The staff were so nice and attentive. I appreciated the cozy and family friendly atmosphere. Price point was fair. I definitely want to come back to try the happy hour and of course other items on the menu.

It also tasted like sugary corn syrup mixed with harsh vinegar, coating veggies in a sticky, cloying film. I had a fantastic experience at The Melt in Santa Clara today, and it was all thanks to the exceptional service from an employee named Clark. In a time when great customer service can be hard to find, Clark is a shining example of how it's done right. I was immediately impressed by how prompt and patient he was while I was ordering. As I waited for my food, I observed him actively coaching his staff in a positive way and also checking in on other customers to make sure they were enjoying their meals. You can tell he genuinely cares about the customer experience across the entire restaurant. The most memorable moment was when I forgot my receipt at the counter. Before I even had a chance to get up, Clark was already walking over to my table to bring it to me. He was so friendly and asked my name, which I told him was Ron. It was a small gesture, but that level of personal attention and awareness is what makes a visit truly stand out. Clark's professionalism and kindness have definitely made me a fan of this location. He is a huge asset to The Melt, and his efforts made my day. I'll be back for sure. read more

Stopped by The Melt around 11:30AM with a coworker and had a really solid experience! The timing was perfect - we beat the lunch rush and had our pick of seating between the indoor and outdoor areas. I went with the Sicilian Chicken sandwich and added tomato and melt spice, and I'm so glad I did. The garlic bread absolutely stole the show and really elevated the entire sandwich. The extra melt spice was definitely the right call for some kick, and the pickle on the side kept everything feeling fresh and balanced. The staff were genuinely upbeat and friendly, creating such an inviting vibe. Even though my sandwich took a bit longer than my coworker's order, the quality made the wait totally worth it. Everything felt clean and well-maintained - I sat outside and noticed my table was a bit sticky, but that's pretty forgivable for outdoor seating. The customer service here is nice, they are friendly and efficient. I will definitely be back when I need my chopped cheese fix and to try some of those specialty cheesesteaks.

I called the store and was connected with a very sweet, nice understanding associate named Paola. She apologized and offered to remake anything that was in error from the large order placed and picked up this afternoon stated that it would be ready in the next 5 to 10 minutes. I came to pick it up and was greeted by Sebastian. He was very warm and welcoming and upon me, letting him know that I called and spoke to Paola he was aware of the situation and had my food ready to go. He was also very sweet and understanding and very apologetic. They went over and beyond with making this right by giving me not only a remade salad, but also a free entrée on them for next time to make up for this issue. I tried really hard for Sebastian to not issue this out as I believe he had already made it right, but he insisted that I take the free entrée item for next time as they are sincere apologies. I've always really loved Mendocino's farm and friendly staff and I would like to know that I've never had any other issue with any other orders here. I'm happy to know that when there is an issue, their staff is understanding and accommodating enough to be able to make it right.l for their customers. A win win in my opinion and this place is now going to be a must stop every time I visit NorCal to go to Fanime since it's walking distance from the convention. We went on the first day of the con, which is Friday, and it was towards the tail end of the Happy Hour so it was pretty busy, but it was going to get more packed due to the dinner rush coming in. We were lucky to get a table and some seats, but on a normal day there's a good number of tables and seats and a counter in the back. You order through a QR code on the table and they bring your food to you. The server was friendly, informed us of what was in stock, what wasn't and super pleasant when dropping off our food. Love service with a smile (even in very busy and stressful conditions). I don't partake in alcohol, so I didn't take advantage of that, but they do have a solid menu variety of the types of drinks they do have. When I walked past to go to the restroom, there's a counter under some TV's showing what they have too. There's some photo opportunities in the hallway to the restroom, love the neon chicken angel wings photo op. For our dinner, we got the: 1) Corn Ribs: -Crispy, Cajun glazed corn ribs and you can get a side of sauce with this but they were seasoned so well that it was unnecessary to add it. -After seeing this at Disneyland, I was enamored by the concept of corn ribs and how novel they are, how easy it is to eat it from a full hulking corn cob. Delicious and interesting, I'd get it again for sure. 2) Fries: -Solid and crispy fries. Great for snacking between bites of meat and dipping in ketchup and sauces. Nice char on the edges and it has a good kick to it. I always get this when it's on the menu since I love sausage meats. Will definitely get it again. 6) Beef Brisket (a la cart): -Several slices of beef brisket, again, really nice char on the edges. Super moist and tender, flavorful meat. Good smoky flavor. Goes great with the BBQ sauces that they have there. A good, reliable protein choice. 7) The JuJu: -Shout out to Jackie's sister! -It's a mix of grape and cherry Kool-aid, nice sweet, fruity drink to wash down all of the umami and savory flavors. I love when places have unique, non-alcoholic drinks like this.
