The ambience is perfect for a date night or an after work happy hour meet; creole décor. The Parish offers an area that could easily accommodate a larger party. Happy Hour is offered Tues-Fri from 3pm-6pm. Wine Wednesday's is also offered, 1/2 priced bottles of wine all day long. The food and drink menu has fun Creole Cuisine flared items. During our visit, my dad slurped on a pint of Abita Pecan Harvest ale for $5. My dad ordered the Guedry's Gumbo for $18. He was quite happy with his dinner choice. I'm not bragging when I say that I make a superior pulled pork so when we both get the same meal and made the same comment that we're sticking with my homemade pulled pork it's not a slam on this establishment bc theirs is "good enough" for some people, just not us. I came here before and had the Grilled Ruby Trout, which was really great. Took some friends from out of town here and we ordered a bunch of dishes that we were all able to sample. The Drunken Angel is another dish with ordering. Most of their plates were delicious. The only ones we weren't too keen on was the frog legs and the desserts. Our group had a great time at The Parish! Seriously, it's a hidden gem you've should check out. Our group started with their cast iron cornbread. I was excited to try The Parish while in town for a conference since it was the highest rated restaurant in Tucson. Overall the experience was good, but it fell short of the high expectations. Ambience of the restaurant is unique, but unfortunately we were sat in the table right in front of the entrance so we were not able to enjoy it much due to people constantly walking in and out picking up orders. We started our meal with the brussel sprouts and pork rinds. The brussel sprouts were excellent and had a tasty sauce with a hint of spice. The pork rinds on the other hand were bland and didn't come with anything to kick up the flavor other than a lemon. For my entree I had the salmon and the presentation of the dish was awesome. The salmon was a bit overcooked but the sauces added to the plate were good and complex. Service was good once the server was able to get to our table. It took a bit for our table to get acknowledged, but once she took our orders we never had to wait on anything. Overall it was a good experience, but I had superior meals at other restaurants in the area. Execution and flavors at The Parish are ON POINT! I've been exposed to new flavors and tastes I haven't tried before. The Shrimp and Grits was cooked perfectly. Everything was well seasoned and the shrimp was cooked perfectly. The sauce was packed with lingering flavor and the collard greens hit the spot. The Drunken Angel also hit with so much seasoning and flavor. The dish and sauce was really heavy (which I have no problem with) but I personally like heavier sauces with a thicker pasta like linguine or fettuccini. If you don't eat the dish quick enough, it gets pretty mushy. Nonetheless, it was a fantastic dish. I'll definitely be back to try their other items next time I'm in the area! read more

Upon stepping in, the place exuded some great flair, with beautiful interiors, and a bar with speakeasy vibes...simply put, unique decor, and the kind of place that appeals to me for a nice meal out. They have an extensive beer/drink menu, and since I was a bit indecisive about what I wanted, my server allowed me to sample a couple beer types before deciding on a German beer. On their specials menu, I went with the Nashville hot chicken sandwich (4.5/5) for my meal. The sandwich was great, served on a high quality bun, and cooked to perfection. The Nashville hot sauce definitely brings some heat, so you can ask for it on the side if you prefer to distribute it on the sandwich yourself. The fries (5/5) that came with it were about as good as you can get for standard fries, tasting great and of top notch quality. I was convinced to order the bread pudding (4/5) for dessert. It was a great dessert without being too sweet despite having a caramel sauce. Instead of ice cream, it came with whipped cream which accented it perfectly. I wasn't the biggest fan of the raisins, but some may like it. Service (5/5) by Raymond was the best, and a manager even stopped by the table twice to talk about the restaurant and ask how everything was...very classy move, and showed appreciation for the customer. We were watching it pretty closely because we were on a time crunch and watched the wait time go from 15 mins to 60 in about 5 minutes. We got on the yelp waitlist around 6pm and were seated around 6:30pm Wait staff: Helpful and personable. Also gave us recs on where to go out for drinks afterwards when we asked. What we ordered: Cast Iron Cornbread - really moist especially with the cinnamon honey butter. Almost tasted like banana bread. Brussel Sprouts - super good flavor with the pecans. Not crispy but brussel sprouts are hard to get crispy. Frog Legs - they were bacon-wrapped which kind of overpowered the taste of the frog legs. Bacon was on the thicker side, was well cooked, and tasted good on its own as well. The sauce that came with it was good though. Gumbo w/side of hush puppies - the gumbo had a lot of meat in it but was lacking the flavor of gumbo. Mostly tasted like sausage. The hushpuppies were definitely the table favorite. They were super crispy on the outside, buttery inside. Trout - surprisingly good, a little on the salty side but everyone else didn't mention that it was salty. The chimichurri was super flavorful and the fish was tender and not overcooked! The wild rice had a bit of a kick and the collard greens were a bit more bitter than normal but not a deal breaker. This dish was one of my friend's favorites. Fried Catfish - solid dish. Fish was well cooked, very tender but not over cooked. The batter was solid, not too thick and didn't separate from the fish like it sometimes does. Fries were good and disappeared so fast! Drinks: Pretty interesting flavors and decent!
