This was my second time eating at The Poke Co. in Linda Vista, and it was excellent. The shop features clean and fresh ingredients, friendly and helpful servers, and a spotless indoor seating area. What more can you ask for? I usually order a small poke bowl with a base of half white rice and half mixed salad, choosing tuna and salmon for my proteins along with a variety of toppings. I also enjoy their milk tea with boba, though I would give a fair warning that it is sweet. I've ordered takeout here as well, and the bowl holds up well and tastes just as good as it does when eating in the shop. It is a great local spot and I will definitely be back! read more

THE POKE @ LINDA VISTA POINT LOMA Parking is available right out front, and this poke spot is located in a plaza with other restaurants and businesses. I actually recognized the area right away since I had been to another bowl place in the same plaza before. I came here on a Friday evening around 6 PM, and there was no line at all. The staff were super friendly, they greeted us right away and made the experience really welcoming. When I wasn't sure which sauce to choose, they kindly offered samples, which I really appreciated. It made it so much easier to decide before building my bowl. We ordered a large bowl (around $21) and a small bowl (around $15). The small comes with two toppings, while the large includes four. There were plenty of options to choose from, including proteins like salmon, scallops, and tuna, along with sides like seaweed salad, cucumber, and avocado (for an extra cost). Overall, I really enjoyed the poke, it was fresh, flavorful, and felt like great quality. The portions were generous, and the pricing felt fair for how much food you get. The space itself is clean and has plenty of seating, plus they offer a water station and restrooms for customers. The ambiance is simple but nice. So pleasantly surprised by how fabulous this poke was!!! Got a small bowl for about $18 (including $2 tip) that was stuffed to the brim! With two scoops of protein and a wonderful array of toppings, the dressing topped it off for me! I got their Carolina reaper sauce that was gooood, and only complaint is that I didn't ask for more! The Poke is probably the same as The Poke Co since that's the name on the bowl and chopsticks. I happen to be in this area the other day after searching for a storage facility and got hungry. This poke shop was nearby in a plaza with plenty of free parking. This shop opened less than a month ago and everything appeared clean as to be expected. Upon entry I was greeted by the staff and helped right away. It was my first time at a Poke Co shop and the staffer was very patient, helpful and courteous. I like that the staffer wore gloves as she prepared the poke bowl but wearing a face mask as she's hovering over all the ingredients would be preferable, hope management takes note. I selected the small bowl which comes with two small scoops of poke. I chose the tuna with yuzu and the spicy salmon, wanted most of the veggie toppings except for any fried stuff and extra cucumber and ginger with garlic sauce. Paid extra for double scoops topping of masago the bright orange fish roe. The small bowl doesn't show all the contents. I usually pay with my phone but it was about to loose power and I needed to still take pics so I paid cash and only had a Benjamin but the shop female manager kind of had an attitude towards me, which I didn't appreciate since I am a customer and was willing to pay but only had a hundred dollar bill and it's not my fault this shop didn't have enough change, but it turns out they did have change and the aggressive attitude was All unnecessary! After taking pics at the shop, I covered it and took it togo because the small paper bowl is simply too small to mix things up without the contents falling out. Once home, I transferred the entire contents into a bigger bowl of porcelain where I can see everything and nothing falling out of the bowl. As with most poke, it's like eating a dissected or unconstructed sushi roll. The sushi rice in this poke was very good, not too mushy or dry and had the right seasoning of neutrality perfect with the tuna yuzu and the spicy salmon poke. This poke dish was the right portion, was filling and perfect during the heatwave this past weekend in San Diego. With the exception of those small bowls which I'm not a fan of, and the unnecessary aggressive attitude from the female manager which almost made me walk out and definitely didn't give me a positive first impression, all because of the Benjamin. read more

Very impressed by the freshness of everything at The Poke Co. It's my first visit and it will definitely not be my last. I picked up takeout two small Poké bowls. Each one comes with two scoops of protein, and your choice of all of their toppings. The fish was wonderful, especially the spicy tuna. It was much better than the average place with not just spicy, but also an umami flavor that is out of this world. Not sure what they marinated in but high five y'all! I love the toppings. They had most of the standard ones, but I was really excited to see beets and also tempura crunchy. The girl at the counter was very patient, I was being kind of indecisive, and made me a great bowl! This business moved into the location of a previous business that did sushi related items. They did not do anything to the interior so it's basically like you're walking into the same shop. Though this newly opened poke bowl restaurant is listed simply as The Poke, it is a sister to the other locations of The Poke Co. I went there recently as it is located near a gym that I frequent. I have been to another location many times. In comparison, perhaps because it is new, this restaurant seems cleaner and more professionally run. Though it was crowded when I visited, it did not take long before I was able to leave with two medium-sized poke bowls. I enjoyed the Hello Kitty decorations as I waited in line. The person helping me was friendly. I appreciate that there is no extra charge for avocado and I was able to request extra masago. It can be difficult to find masago in some nearby poke spots, and for me, it is a key ingredient. I think the only thing that could be improved was that the scoops of fish could have been a bit more generous. All in all, I'm glad the Poke Co. opened in this convenient location and I am sure I will be back. read more

walked by and saw this store open - yay! I love good poke and the poke co stays consistent in their taste and food quality. i was able to snag a free boba with my order, which is an extra bonus. i think the boba promo is only for the first week of opening but make sure to ask about their weekly boba deals. the place is clean and tidy. they had a lot of sauce options which i love. i kinda wish I tried the octopus cause it looked good. but i stuck with my normal salmon, tuna and spicy tuna. will have to come back to try that and the scallop next time. this location doesn't have wings, but they did have spam musubi. i love their different lays chip options, i can't find these chips anywhere else. will be back again next time i crave poke read more

The pokes are really good and reasonably priced, something that's hard to find in San Diego. Overall, the food is really good. However, asking a homeless person to leave the store is in no way discriminatory if he is interrupting business activities, so please ask the homeless to leave or if you want to be a kind person let him stay and give him some water and food, but it's not fun as a customer to try to eat your food there while a homeless person is walking around, laughing out loud and by himself, and getting way too close to the customers. read more

Just happened to come in for the soft opening. The store was super clean and the employees were super helpful when making the bowls. I got the medium bowl which has three proteins. They really stacked the bowl with sides and such. I've never seen a poke place give free scoops of avocado. Usually it's an extra cost but not here, it's included. The fish was super fresh!
