The interior was cozy and stylish, a nice mix between a restaurant and cafe in the absolute best way possible. The staff were super friendly, they took the time to chat and gave me some great recommendations. I went with the spicy brisket and park, both were phenomenal. The flavor was super rich and savory with just enough spice to have a kick without being overpowering. The dough was thin, flakey, and golden. It was perfect! I grew up only eating Puerto Rican empanadas so I wasn't sure what to expect but this place blew me away. Amazing food, great vibes and kind people. An absolute 5/5 that I'll definitely be back to.

Great little spot in downtown Austin! Came here for an Austin FC watch party and had an awesome…read moretime, s/o WAATV. Little Patagonia has their own parking lot (which is rare downtown), plus a nice outdoor patio. The food was great, service was quick and was an easy process considering it was a packed event. Highly recommend the brisket empanadas, so flavorful and delicious! The chicken ones were packed with flavor too. My boyfriend had the bacon, egg, and cheese empanada and said it was tasty, though he wished there was a bit more bacon. Overall, a cool spot to bring someone who's visiting Austin or if you just want to try something different. Will definitely be back to try out more foods and the wines!

Hit the farmers market in Cedar Park and found them there, so only speaking for that experience…read more I'm Peruvian and love an empanada, so got a variety. They're $8 each which is a little pricey but not unreasonable in this economy. $6 would have been right. Maybe $7 bc Farmers Market. $8 is high for the size. I got the BBQ Brisket, Conquistador (diced beef), Peruvian (Aji de Gallina) and al pastor (pork w pineapple). The name Yapa has a meaning (you can rea the sign yourself) and when I asked about it they said the chimichurri that already came with it was that. Lame. Don't name yourself after a gift and don't give one. Or don't say the sauce is included. Brisket was good. Sweet. Gouda would have been nice in it. 7.5/10 Conquistador (diced beef) was also good. This is the traditional stuffing for a papa rellena. Very tasty but could have used a salsa criolla instead of the chimichurri. 8/10 The Al pastor was fine, but didn't taste at all like Al pastor. Zero pineapple flavor. 4/10 Haven't tried the Aji de Gallina yet. Will update when I do. The chimichurri was tasty but HOT. I like spicy - this was hot so proceed with caution. The dough was a little thick for my liking, especially around the sides Overall it was okay. I spent $50 on 6. Would probably go back and get the BBQ one for walking around the market. The Conquistador is better as potato stuffing and the Al Pastor was just a miss. Offering alfajores as a yapa would be a nice touch

Have you had Yapa empanadas? Holy poo they're amazing…read more They're everywhere, food trucks, different farmer markets, etc. You can buy them frozen and take home to make. That's just grand! Did you know they also do catering? I need to host a blowout event of some kind to get these glorious empanadas catered. For now, I'm happy knowing I've got a bag in my freezer. The Come y Calla brisket empanada is a real flavor punch to the mouth. Yes, siree. I'll take chicken empanadas, brekkie empanadas, and the spinach cheese ones all day, everyday. You heard me. Everyday. They also sell chimichurri sauce jarred and no home kitchen is complete without it. That sauce is so good I just wanna inhale it all right down. All I've got left to say is OMEmpanada, please!
