Had an overnight stay at the Queen Mary and didn't want to venture off the ship. The cafe is one of the restaurants on ship and I was able to make a reservation within a short timeframe via Open table. When we arrived, we were promptly seated a table with scenic views. I wasn't expecting much food wise but I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the spinach dip and fish tacos. The spinach dip was abundant, enough for a group, delicious and cheesy with chunks of artichokes. The tacos were flavorful and filling. There was a kids menu and my daughter ordered a grilled cheese sandwich and fries and it was substantial for a kid. We really enjoyed our meals and I thought pricing was fair for what was served. Since dinner was so good, I also made a reservation for breakfast the next day that didn't disappoint. Our breakfast was quite good. There was a breakfast buffet going on but I wasn't famished so I went with the ala carte menu. I ordered the avocado toast and it came with fresh greens and soft boiled egg. My daughter ordered the kids waffle with berries and ate all of it. Staff at both visits were friendly and attentive in refilling our drinks. I would definitely dine here again if I ever come back to the Queen Mary.

We stayed a night on the QM and despite not having a reservation, the restaurant was able to fit us in, also despite a lot of empty tables through out visit. Service was great, quick and food was fantastic. Served hot and large portions, well worth the visit. Had their fish n chips, as well as a side of their Calamari. Made an awesome combo for a hungry visit. Additionally we ordered the crispy fish tacos, very good.

This restaurant is located on an old ship called Queen Mary. It is now a museum. The Promenade is where we're having an early dinner and I must say, the food and service is excellent.

The Promenade Cafe has fantastic service and amazing views. It was a beautiful sunny day overlooking the shores of Long Beach from the 4th level/deck/floor of the Queen Mary with bae. Our server was amazing, a one woman show and the other gentlemen on duty who helped bring out a few things, refill our drinks and clear our table was just a friendly, thoughtful and attentive. The food and drinks are enjoyable for sure with a lot of vegetarian and vegan friendly dishes clearly labeled. Salads, Soups, Appetizers/Starters, Sandwiches, Chef Suggestions, Desserts and Entrees. They have the VG (vegan), V (vegetarian) and GF (gluten-free) notes on the menu with quite a bit of options falling into each. I'd love to see a vegan friendly dessert, sandwich and Chef's recommend item in the future, but more than grateful for all they do offer. Babe ended up with the grilled quesadilla and he loved every bite! I ended up getting the Farmer's Market Salad, which I found out after that it had real feta, at first we couldn't tell because the texture was unique, but then it was obvious lol... I found this beyond super strange because they offer non-dairy/vegan cheese here and it even comes on their pasta primavera entree... Everything else is labeled perfectly on the menu so not sure what's going on with that. We had a close to perfect lunch here. All the tables were full by the time we were done. Plenty of Sunday Funday and weekend lunchers/brunchers enjoying various cocktails including some espresso martinis a table over. We had to pre-pay a $15 per person voucher than went back to our meal, it's a smart incentive to make sure people actually dine in. And the cafe can/will also validate your parking. Free Wi-Fi for the ship, that seems to work in the cafe as well. Restrooms are super clean and toward the far end the dinning area. Everything was/is well made, reasonable and thoughtful. We even got some great photos of the view and our Promenade Cafe experience. Definitely will be back and if I have the Farmer's Market Salad I'll make sure to sub the feta for their vegan cheese... Though their Organic Carrot Hummus, Avocado Toast (hold the 7-minute egg for this guy) and primavera all sound just as intriguing for next time.

We haven't been on the Queen Mary since my husband's office had their Holiday dinner at Sir Winston's years ago. We arrived at the Queen Mary via Circuit, which is a free service that we use often when our destination isn't walkable. I highly recommend Circuit!!!! We checked in and were told we needed to purchase $15 tickets that would be charged back to our dinner bill. Sure, no problem. We headed up the elevator to the 4th floor where the Promenade Cafe is. There was a wedding party that had taken over the Observation Bar, so we opted to be seated at our table...which has a better view than the bar. The bar's view is the parking lot. We ordered the Angus Beef Burger ($23), New England Clam Chowder ($14), Grilled Corned Beef Reuben ($20). Everything was delicious, but seriously...their french fries are so good! Crispy and crunchy on the outside and tender and fluffy on the inside. Service was amazing. Even though the restaurant was full, we never had to look for our server because she checked in on us frequently. We will definitely be back!

I know there are a lot of haters on this place, but the prices are pretty reasonable based on the quantity of food that you get, the quality of food, and the high level of service. I had the French dip sandwich with au jus and french fries. Fries were beer battered, crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside and still piping hot from the kitchen. My wife got the avocado toast and it was heaping with high quality avocado, arugula and a perfectly cooked egg on top. Just check out the photos. We felt very taken care of by our server, our food came out within 10 min (maybe less) everything was served on luxury ceramic dinnerware, and you get to stare out on a dreamy vista of LB historic skyline with boats gently passing back and forth. It feels very fancy to be there. Something else to consider is that with the price of your meal, your parking is free and you get free entrance to the ship. So feel free to stay and walk around all the decks and have a drink at the observation bar. You don't have to pay another admission. You do have to make a reservation on open table ahead of time, then you show that to the people on the first floor before entering the elevators to the ship to get onboard. We had a great meal and a great morning walking around the decks of the historic Queen Mary taking photos. It may take a little coordination in making your reservation ahead of time and bringing your parking ticket up with you to be validated, but if you can handle a few logistical steps, it is actually one of the better deals in the city.

We were staying a night on the Queen Mary and wanted to have some dinner, wasn't very many places to choose from. So we went with the Promenade cafe it was quiet 3 young ladies sitting in the front greeted us We got sat quickly way down the restaurant, there wasn't much to this place very plain looked like a cafeteria Waitress was there to greet us We got the ribeye steak to share it was very pricey $49 We got our drinks fast food took a bit And we finally got it and I was disappointed it was the smallest portions of potato's and vegetables and the ribeye steak was tiny We shared and the steak was flavorless even with the garlic it was over cooked potatoes were lacking flavor also vegetables were good For the soda one beer and steak it was $70 it was not worth that at all. So disappointed besides customer service everything was awful

A very nice way to enjoy the history and paranormal over a meal. We had the french dip and the tiramisu and both were delicious. We will definitely be back for more.

I came here with two friends for a quick bite to eat since we were onboard the Queen Mary. It was fairly empty (past peak lunch time), and we had a lovely view of the ocean. We weren't too hungry except for me, but they were gracious enough to let us sit and have some drinks (a Shirley temple and a cocktail) and for me to have their New England clam chowder. Very straightforward fare, but comforting and warm on the tummy. The server was also quite attentive and courteous. We didn't have time to come back, but would love to see how the other items on the menu fare.

The Promenade Cafe is a nice alternative if you don't want to pay a lot for the AYCE buffet. The food wasn't spectacular, but it was decent. Some dishes (out of 9 in our party) were really tasty like the Beef Short Ribs platter and the Short ribs grilled cheese. The salad that came with the dish was amazing w/ the vinaigrette dressing! The Fried Chicken Sandwich and the Smokestack Cheesesteak was dry and could use more aioli sauce, so make sure to ask for more. The pricing is about right given the current pricing in the industry. The menu offers a good selection for various palletts. The service was great and our server Meagan was very friendly and accommodating. The actual restaurant itself can use some updating and a good cleaning. For example, the wall paper is coming off in some areas and the tables are not wiped down well (edge of the table had a lot of old stuck on food). Otherwise, it's a good dining choice with fair prices, especially if you want to come and tour the Queen Mary, which is why we came here.

Definitely the BEST place to eat in the entire ship. I really enjoyed the clam chowder and the sides. Some of the entres are big enough to share like the chicken sandwich. It was easy to come here as a walk in party of 3. Service was fast as well. Definitely a nice view outside of the surrounding Long Beach area.

Made a reservation for Saturday midday and it wasn't busy. Great views from our table. Came for a few appetizers and we had the most amazing cocktails. Stacey was lovely and gave us excellent recommendations. My espresso martini was the best I've had in a while. Will be back.

Went to check out Dark Harbor at the Queen Mary the other night, but we needed to pregame with did and drinks, so we hopped on the ship and visited the Promenade Cafe. We were sat immediately, as it wasn't busy, and had seeting at the windows overlooking Long Beach across the water. Our server was quick to come to us, give us recommendations as well as take out drink orders. We tried a few controls, the Cruise to Nowhere, which sounds tasty with peach syrup and Chambord, but it ended up treating like Robitussin for some reason. The Shore Leave Spritz was nice and refreshing. The Aviation was also interesting but could have had the flavors pop a little more For food, we all tried something different. The clam chowder is good, but the bowl isn't very big, you definitely feel like you need more with it. The fish and chips are cooked well, but it feels pretty basic overall. The meatballs also felt like they needed a little more flavor and seasoning. The California club was what decent but felt like it what needed a little something to give it a pop of flavor outside of the bacon Overall, with views of LB over the water, it's a nice view, but the food is fairly basic, nothing really that you have to run out and put in your face right away.

My double cheeseburger with potato wedges. My husband had the fish tacos. They were deep fried. They were delicious.

A very welcoming vibe upon entry, we were greeted by a friendly couple who answered our questions about popular drink flavors. We decided to go with a Hot Cinnamon Dulce Latte and an Iced Blueberry Lavender Latte. While waiting, there were plenty of chairs, tables, a comfy couch and even a bar area to sit and relax. Tons of board games, books and wonderfully mellow music helps make the experience feel comforting and inviting. Our drinks were prepared quickly and shouted at the coffee bar for pickup. The presentation was great, but the flavors, out of this world! The Cinnamon Dulce Latte was OUTSTANDING. So good, in fact, that my girlfriend stole it from me! They coated the chicken in a chili rub that gave it a sweet and spicy flavor when paired with their maple syrup. Served on top of a waffle and topped with an egg. I loved it and would probably order again on my next visit. My wife had the American plate which was your classic eggs, bacon, potatoes, and sourdough toast combo. It's about how management handled it. We made a reservation three days in advance to watch the Mexico World Cup match. We arrived 10 min early to our reservation in anticipation of the crowds. We received confirmation by both email and text, but when we arrived, we were told there was no reservation and "nothing they could do." Despite showing proof of our confirmed reservation, they refused to honor it and told us there were no tables available. Seconds later, another group walked up and asked to join the waitlist, and he gladly added them. I then asked why we couldn't be added--considering we had a confirmed reservation--and only then did he put us on the list. When a restaurant makes a mistake, the bare minimum is trying to make it right. We should have been given priority on the waitlist. Instead, after nearly two hours of waiting, we were still ninth in line even though the wait time for our table size showed 0 minutes. We left without ever being seated. Thankfully before the match began, we walked over to Broken Spirits (5 min walk away) where they seated us within 15 minutes and even gave us complimentary drinks to celebrate the game. The difference in hospitality was incredible. This wasn't my first disappointing experience here, either. On a previous visit, I waited outside to be seated for so long that I eventually gave up and seated myself at the bar. To make matters worse, the food and drinks don't justify the price. Cocktails are around $20, filled with ice, and underwhelming. As a customer, I left Ordinarie feeling dismissed and disrespected. Between the poor service, overpriced menu, and management's complete lack of accountability, I won't be returning. If you're in the DTLB area, I would recommend better drinks/better service at Broken Spirits or Midnight Oil :)

I never expected to find stellar cocktails and wings inside of a hotel, but you truly never know…read more Let's start with the cocktails; they are KILLING it. The menu has a ton of really detailed options, each drink with its own depth. The menu changes seasonally but what doesn't change is the smoked old fashioned - a must-order. They smoke your drink in a glass container using applewood chips; it's quite a show and it also does make the drink much more enjoyable. Ask the bartender and they can also help guide you to a drink - I've done it a couple of times and always pleasantly surprised. Next up, the food! The hummus was very flavorful and paired with an amazing fluffy pita bread. The truffle fries were solid but the plate was HUGE, definitely needs a friend to share. The Nashville wings are the star of the show. I cannot stress this enough, this is worth a DRIVE for. The seasoning really does remind you of Howlin' Rays (the highest compliment) and the chicken is extremely crispy yet insanely juicy. The pickles and ranch that it comes with pairs so well. Do note that they are tossing it in pork fat, which enhances the depth but also makes it a little greasy at the end. I also wished they'd warn you this and offer to order it without it; especially for those who don't eat pork or for those trying to cut some calories. There's a happy hour menu too!!! So you can get drinks and food even cheaper. I cannot stop thinking about this place. It's such a sleeper. Head to Midnight Oil after a visit to continue your night.

I love the food here. BENNIE is amazing. I have not had…read moresuch a friendly waiter in such a long time!!! He greeted me right away. Was smiling the whole time. He even came to my table (I was solo) and talked to me for a little while about the area and other things! So friendly. The wings are incredible!!! One of the best wings I've ever had. TOP 2 for me. They are soooo crispy on the outside and tons of meat, and JUICY AF!!!! those pickles are just yummy.

Parking is hard. They have a lot on the back but it's always full. You need to try on the streets…read more The further away the easier you'll find a spot. It took 20 min to be sat. We arrived in a Friday around noon It took a while for us to get our order taken and for food to arrive. Truly that was the longest part. A table who got here before us was served before we were. It was getting pretty long We got the buscits which was a let down. They were cold. A bit hard and the butter was unable to be spread. The gumbo was less flavorful and if you are used to more flavorful gumbos then this one isn't for you. It it's more tamed. The rice was a little dry. It tasted like it could come from a package. The best part was the meat serving. The eggs Benedict were perfect. I loved the lemon salad that was served with it. The cut inside the eggs was great and cooked well. I would come back just to try more entrees. Avoid the biscuits unless you have them with gravy. Then let us know. The place is small with outside and inside seating. I attached a video of the view inside. We paid about $50 with tip for the three things and truly it was a good experience. If you like Bloody Marys I would say to come try because we noticed nearly every table getting served one.
