We split three starters... tenderloin sliders, tilapia fish tacos and fried calamari... and all were excellent. The four sliders were very filling and would have been more than enough as an entree. Service was great... Maria our waitperson took good care of us. Fair pricing considering the quality. Street parking was challenging, and I imagine it would be more so later in the evening. Fantastic "Build-your-own" burger special and $4 Krombacher Pils on a Thursday night. We arrived around 6:00 p.m. with no reservation but were seated right away. Towards the end of our meal a line was forming for tables so certainly seems like a popular spot for dinner. Service was efficient and friendly and we always had full beverages. While the BYOB special is $5, any toppings you get beyond lettuce and tomato costs $2 so even adding cheese or bacon will add up quickly. This is a fun place to visit with a nice location and crowd. read more

Phenomenal local spot with a great atmosphere. The Cheeseburgers are spot-on and the French Fries the perfect crispness. (I must point out that the Lamb Burger should not be over-looked which I did for far too long.) The Hangar Steak is a winner as are the Brussel Sprouts. I rarely single out Chicken Wings at such an establishment, everyone has wings, but these MUST be specifically mentioned as I would put their's up against anyone's. The Reservoir also has a brunch that I gotta hit at least once-per-month at minimum. The Chicken and Waffles freaking rock, the Breakfast Burrito has been a staple for me for years (I could not have survived Covid without it,) and the Salmon Cake Benedict has the perfect balance of flavors. Sim-puh-lee delicious! How upset I am with myself for living in the neighborhood for six months now and this is just my first time coming to dine here! I had the chicken club sandwich, which comes with avocado (yum), chipotle mayo, and arugula, just to name a few. The meat - juicy and perfectly seasoned. I also opted to get the Reservoir fries, which come donned with white truffle oil and parmesan. The food was excellent and nothing less than fulling. This is the perfect neighborhood, local joint to go to. The lies stay lit low, no matter how dark in the evening it's getting, which is the total perfect ambiance setting. Came with a group of friends for a Saturday brunch and was blown away by this place. I'll start with the mimosas. They were to die for. The perfect mix of orange juice and champagne. We each got the bottomless mimosas. They were priced at $17 per person which we thought was on the pricier side but they were worth it. I also had the filet and egg brunch with breakfast potatoes. They steak was cooked perfectly. Seasoned well and very juicy. The eggs and potatoes were equally as good. I finished everything so quick that I wanted more lol. I'm here almost every weekend for the brunch. I always enjoy the Bloody Mary special and I usually get the Steak and Eggs. The steak always comes out at the perfect medium rare. I'm usually sitting up at the bar and the service has always been very kind and attentive. Very reasonable prices for the quality of fare. If I've got friends or family in town this is a great spot to take them, especially on a summer day. The owner/operator David is great. I went for brunch here with my family after running errands. Skeptical because I am vegan and it was slim pickings. I was disappointed to learn that the black bean burger is vegetarian but NOT vegan. So I asked if the chef could prepare some vegetables for me and the waiter said no, I would have to order something off the menu. So I ordered an omelette with no eggs and no cheese. I received a pile of vegetables that was SWIMMING in oil. I literally tipped the plate over and enough oil ran off to fill up two shot glasses. And the veggies were so poorly cooked, no flavor at all. It was really sad. The waiter came by to ask how everything was and I said "it's bad, mediocre at best" and he was just like "oh..." and stood there. This is honesty a really nice bar! It looks really nice, good vibe and great atmosphere. Good location too with an open front when weather is permitting! the food is ok. Everytime I come here I don't feel bored. They have a TV attached to their wall where you can watch sports, movies, news, etc. I sat on a bar stool everytime I came here. The bartenders are so nice and excellent in making my drinks. He is skilled and professional. One of my favorites was their Brussel Sprouts. It's a veggie but if you taste it , it tastes like meat. This place is great. We came in on Thursday night and they were really busy between their burger special and sports. We grabbed a drink at the bar and a table became available shortly after. While they had lots of appealing menu options, we couldn't pass up the burgers, which start at $5 and you can add additional toppings for $1. I'm happy to report that even at such a cheap price, the burgers were awesome! If they had pickles it'd be next level but I still loved it. Pro tip, spring for the reservoir fries as your side- they are parmesan truffle flavor and DELICIOUS. Our server was super busy between the crowd and then a large party that came in late but everything came out exactly as ordered and she was great at answering questions and being patient with my indecisive ass. One really nice touch was that she didn't charge me for a new Diet Coke as I'd already paid for one at the bar. It's only a couple bucks and I didn't care about paying for another-- in fact, I understand as a fellow server that a higher check *usually* means a higher tip-- but she took it off which we both thought was super nice. The manager was cool too, he was bussing and seating tables and introduced himself on our way out. Really glad we checked this out on a spur of the moment Thursday dinner date. If you like spicy sauces, ask for the Dippin' Fries, which come with a delicious spicy ketchup and a garlic aoili. The food here is reasonably priced and always comes out quickly. The ambiance is moody and cozy, and paired with the booth seating, The Reservoir makes for a great date night on a budget. They have candles lit on the tables to enhance the lighting too, which I thought was a nice touch. My server was attentive, and what really sold me on this place was the fact the manager was making rounds to ask the patrons how everything was for them. The chicken and pulled pork sandwiches I've had here just might be the best ever. The fries are also above average! Drinks are a tad on the pricey side but they have certain weekday specials that make it more affordable. Plus, half off flatbreads on Friday! Who has deals on Friday?! There were at least 6 empty tables. They said they were reserved, no one showed up and after a 30 minute wait they allowed me to use one. This weekend I called ahead to reserve a table and was told we don't take reservations, I explained my experience the weekend before and she had the gall /stupidity to say well yes we do take reservations if you know someone. Service here has really declined. It's so loud it's hard to have a conversation. Perhaps the should remove the seating and turn it into a discotheque. It took almost 10 minutes for the server to even notice I was here. The wine menu on the phone is annoying. I ordered a glass of wine, a side salad, and the steak and potatoes. It all arrived at once. I had planned to make it a three course, three glass dinner, but I abandoned that when they abandoned me as a customer. I don't think I'll be back anytime soon. Dont come here to enjoy a sports game. The owner had his panties in a bunch last night. Me and two of my friends were asked to leave for cheering too loud for the football game. For a bar in uptown with 7/8 t.v.'s it was pretty ridiculous to be asked to leave. Didnt even warn us to keep it down. It's a nice bar environment but I felt that the food was very lackluster and didn't stand out much. They could use more creativity on the menu. It was okay priced but for the kind of food you're getting, I don't think it was worth it. Their cocktail menu should also be expanded! I didn't like the service that I got with my group of friends. Well I finally returned after a year plus hiatus. This is still a hella good spot in my new hood of residence; Uptown. I came last night with a friend and we got a nice spot near the back. Lights were nice and dim and the TVs were playing sportscenter and other sports related shows. Our server John was really helpful and knowledgeable about everything on the menu. I was conflicted between the mahi mahi with grilled asparagus vs the Uptown Burger. My dining companion decided she was going to have a lamb burger so I said what the hell I would have a burger as well. The Uptown Burger is basically an 8oz certified angus beef with fried egg, bacon, bbq sauce, onions, lettuce & tomato. Burger was filling as John said it would be and the fries were pretty good with the spicy ketchup dipping sauce. The dipping sauce tasted like ketchup blended with srirracha. Beer list is still pretty good as we had 3 each...all different ones. The also have games you can play such as Scrabble and other favorites I really like this place and see myself spending some decent time here since I live nearby. Good stuff read more

Our waitress should win an award for the best in Chicago. No lie. She was great!!
