I asked our server about it and he said it was a shared tip. So we gave him more because his service was good. Also the food was good but the taste did not match with the price. This Restaurants Service is Pathetic. I took my family to dinner at this place. I had a reservation for 8 and 1 child, and they couldn't sit us together, and they separated our tables. We pulled our tables together, and the manager, Constance Peace, came to our tables with a rude attitude that we could NOT pull our tables together. This manager ended up ruining our Christmas dinner. Her service was rude and pathetic and deserves to be The Hell Manager of the Year. The scallops were recommended by the chef of the day, they were big, sweet and fresh, with a mound of crab meat on top and rice in a sauce underneath. It had been at least six months since I last visited and I thought I would try again. On the previous visit, the oysters I ordered as an appetizer were not served. After I had finished my lunch, they offered to serve the oysters. I declined. On this trip, I kept it simple: seafood gumbo, and a blackened shrimp PoBoy with a diet coke. When the food arrived, the shrimp were fried, not blackened. The waitress recognized the error when I asked and took them back. It took about 15 minutes before the sandwich returned during which I had already finished the gumbo and over half the coke. Both the sandwich and gumbo were good but I kind of expected a refill on the coke. When the check came, I found that they had automatically added 15% service charge and when I asked about it, they said it was their standard policy. I absolutely loved the boudin stuffed jalapeño. I'm usually not a fan of boudin but the flavors and texture of this one was outstanding. The ranch also complimented the appetizer very well. We first sat down to two different tables split apart from each other about 5-6 feet away. When we have reserved a seating for 8 people and 1 baby (9). When we sat down we moved them closer. After a few minutes our waiter came to us and said that the space has to be there because of company policy and we asked to talk to a manager. My poached egg on top was also over done. The bar manager was a very nice person and had the kitchen remake my eggs. Even then, I still had to add some hot sauce to flavor up the crab cake.
