My meal: Stuffed shrimp. You can get them 2 ways. I got mine with Treme sauce. It was very fresh, well flavored and one of a Kind dish. It was a great portion too. Took my friend out for her birthday and she chose Rouxpour since we've both never been here before. Made reservations for 5:00 pm although there appeared to be plenty of seating if you wanted to walk in. I believe our waiter's name was Carlos and his service was excellent! For drinks I got the Mexican Martini and my friend got the blueberry martini. Both drinks were really good but the Mexican martini was definitely stronger (you could barely taste liquor in the blueberry one). I ordered a bowl of gumbo for my appetizer and it was amazing! You know the gumbo is going to be good when it comes out with that perfectly brown rue(not that tomato based stuff lol). For our meals I ordered the pot chop ribeye and my friend got the chicken sandwich. My ribeye was very good. It came with this creamy cheese sauce that was so good especially with my potatoes and some fries. My friend said her sandwich was really good as well. My first visit to this area staple and I enjoyed this restaurant very much, I visited on a Saturday afternoon any they accommodated my party in a beautiful private dining area. Service was quick and attentive, we never felt rushed and they had no issues splitting tickets. The food was very tasty, there are a few more menu items I must try in the future but I can say the fried green tomatoes will have to be on the list again. That's not a bad thing, I'm just used to energetic servers who are willing to give input on dishes. We ordered a half dozen oysters & fun fact, you can try one of each oyster that they offer. There are 6 in total. I'm a simple man, so dressing up the oysters doesn't do much for me, but I must admit... They were mighty tasty. We had the Mahi Fish, which was fantastic! Wow! What a beautiful place on the outside and a really nice ambiance inside. The food was tasty and the plate setting was beautiful! The blueberry martini and mexican martini (similar to a margarita, but much better and not as much sugar) were both very refreshing and we had 2 of each. Ha! Our waiter, Abraham, was so kind and his service was very helpful being that it was mine and my best friend's first time. He shared the features (aka specials) of today. He mentioned both martini's are the most selling cocktails they have and I can see why! It is a bit pricy, however, it can be worth it! My friend and I shared the fried green tomatoes and she had the Grilled Salmon with pontchartrain sauce and white rice and I had the Boudin Stuffed Chicken (a bit spicy but I could handle it - coming from one who doesn't eat spicy food). We went for an early birthday brunch for myself and my mom. It's a nice location, but parking at the mall is always a pain. The inside is nicely decorated nicely and the patio is great. The food we had was delicious. My dad is very allergic to shell fish and we informed the waitress of this allergy. My dad ordered the Bayou Pork Rib and even though we informed them of his allergy they still put a crawfish sauce on top of it. Luckily he noticed before he started eating it. We sent it back to have them remake it. By the time they brought he food back out we were already done eating. They also mixed up our other dishes I ordered the Bourbon Street Pasta and my mother ordered the Pasta Rosa. We didn't realize until we were half way done that we were eating each other's dish. Not only did they have some amazing creole dishes, they had some of the best chargrilled oysters I've ever had! I started off the night with one of my favorite drinks that was made to perfection! I had a lemon drop martini made with tequila instead of vodka *Hit different, must try* For an appetizer, I had to try the chargrilled oysters! I had a mix of the "Spinach Madeline" and the "Chargrilled Rockefeller" and let's just say, I thought I was in New Orleans! The creamed spinach toppings with the bacon and breadcrumbs was delectable! The fried green tomatoes were top tier as well! It was served with a delicious shrimp and crawfish fondue. Talk about good eating!! Here's how it weighs out--4.5/5 waitress service... 3/5 food quality/taste... 3/5 managements' clarity First let me say our waitress was very attentive and patient!!! Our food and drinks came out timely each time. We tried the oysters in 3 different flavors. They each were subpar. I'm a Louisiana girl so seafood is my thing!! The fondue was really good. I'd definitely try it again!! I ordered the oyster/shrimp platter and for $32, I only got 5 shrimp and 5 oysters!!!!!! That's it!!! The oysters were small. I'm rather impressed at the price for a small amount of seafood, but hey, it's their prices (cool)! My husband had the Muffalata sandwich. He said it was good. Now my largest gripe....we were two people who dined in and the restaurant charged a "service charge" on our check!! A 20% service charge was added, without any explanation of this prior to placing the order. We typically tip 18% or more, depending on service, but this was totally uncomfortable for a party of 2. When asked what the service fee was, we were told it's a Covid related fee. Because we love tipping, I feel this charge is unfair to the waiters because I can't fathom paying a 20% service fee, in addition to a 20% tip to my table staff. That's 40%!!!!! Unbelievable. This should've definitely been explained early on. This is very unfair in my opinion to the waitstaff and the customers. All in all, I'll return, but I'm not in a rush to return for dine in. The Rouxpour was a solid offering of New Orleans/Creole cuisine. The restaurant is large with a huge bar area and a very roomy dining area. Our waitress did an excellent job, as she was very attentive and pleasant. I ordered a cup of the crawfish bisque and the blackened salmon. The crawfish bisque was warm, creamy and flavorful. Plenty of crawfish tails through and through. Now on to the salmon. I hate to say it, but for it's 29 dollar price I expected a tiny bit heftier of a portion of the side dishes. All of the flavors were there and I completely cleaned my plate. Yum! Lastly, I ordered the bread pudddddiiiinnnggg! Ohhhhh myyyy heavens!! One of the best! I heard the chargrilled oysters are amazing. I didn't try them so this review is on the pasta. I asked the server which pasta was best - he said the bayou pasta with the pasta Rosa sauce. I asked them to add vegetables, he said they could add mushrooms, bell peppers and broccoli. The vegetables were basically raw, I would have definitely loved them sautéed in. I thought there was little seasoning, just the pasta sauce which was decent. The shrimp and chicken were both just boiled, and no seasoning at all. The sausage in the pasta was good. This was not our first choice for my mom's Saturday night birthday dinner, but it ended up working out perfectly! We called ahead to gauge a wait time since every where seemed to have like an hour plus for a table of 5, and the hostess said there wasn't a wait at the moment but couldn't guarantee that wouldn't change before we got there. Luckily, we were in the shopping strip already so we were seated as soon as we arrived. I was nervous about having a kid and an infant with us since there were a lot of nicely-dressed diners, we saw some other kids and babies throughout the rest of night so that eased our worry. Our server (do not remember his name, unfortunately) was super nice and attentive. We ordered the deviled eggs and the crab cakes. For entrees, we ordered 2 of the Pasta Rosa, a pasta with grilled chicken for the kid, and the Redfish with asparagus for me. Everything was delicious and flavorful. For dessert, we ordered the creme brûlée, the cheesecake, and the bread pudding. I feel like I'm more critical about desserts so to me, they were decent but nothing great. It was a nice finish to our dinner but if we came back for dinner another night, we'd probably opt out of dessert for something else in the area. This place was absolutely amazing. We stopped in after shopping for a few appetizers and it was perfect. The Seafood Fondeaux was creamy and flavorful, as were the Oysters Rockafeller.
