The bartender Chris is awful! I ordered a drink and he took offense and asked if I wanted to wait for my server. I explained to him we were waiting for a table outside. Asked him to keep my card open and he huffed and puffed. After 2 minutes we got our table outside with a very nice server. We asked if we could transfer our one drink and he refused. I felt bad for our server who explained he wouldn't transfer our tab after ordering lunch with her. So I had to close out for one drink with him and re open another one. Time: Friday Evening Location: Near Ann Morrison Park. Pros: The bartenders are cool. The food and drink are good. The location is great. Cons: Finding parking can be difficult. I've been here before a few times with no issues but yesterday was different. I went after work to eat and watch a MLS game but apparently they no longer show soccer which is weird since it wasn't a problem before. Also with 8 big screens and few customers there at the time what's the big deal? Its too bad, its a nice spot nearby but I have no reason to go back now. read more

Parking is a chore, but if you can find a spot, this place is great. The burgers are fresh and made to order, they'll make them rare if you like, this means they aren't frozen patties, which automatically makes me happy. They are seasoned well and juicy. First time in Boise. The shed is right across the street from where my buddies son lives for school. So, we went over for lunch. Had the shed burger (see pic) awesome! Cooked perfectly and very good. My friend and I stopped in after a recommendation from a local. The Shed has a really cool low-key, laid back vibe. I like the open garage doors and the openess of the dining area. The beer selection is excellent, and the menu has some top quality bar food. We ordered the Buffalo Wings and the Blackjack sandwich, and we both left full and satisfied. The service was a pretty slow, but the bar was packed because of a Garth Brooks concert at Boise State that night, so it's understandable. Overall the Shed is the perfect spot for a chill night with some friends. read more

Service at the bar is good. Service at the tables - marginal. Servers seem to lack experience. I base this on the speed they move with and how priorities are out of order. For instance bussing another table in your section while your other table has several empty glasses. I've been back and will continue to. The location is great. In some ways this 2nd Lift is even better than the original. Parking is easy at both, but the atmosphere at #2 has a slight advantage. I was gonna only eat half of my Adult Grilled Ham and cheese and couldn't stop myself from eating it all and half my friends fries! Another place in Boise that has way too large portions, but what the hell. If you're catching your favorite sports team you can't beat either of these places. The drinks are okay . The food is Maybe less than okay ... The service is ... questionable. Very personable. Almost too personable actually. As in every time I've been there ( all three ) the servers I have had love to tell me about the personal details of their life . I don't even have to ask , it's almost like reverse psychology, the more often they drop off appetizers and drinks the more they want to divulge about their inner most details / hobbies/issues / they come at me and me with . We stopped in during the a Final Four and found about 8 tvs with the games on. Beer was cold and refreshing and a nice selection on tap. We had the steak stir fry, French dip with fries and a side of tots. The aus jus was tasty and flavorful without being overly salty. The fry sauce has a slight kick and is hard not to eat. First time here, I got a delicious burger and great parmesian garlic fries with it. Halfway through our burgers, my friend notices that his burger is completely raw in the middle. I look at mine and it's the same. We stop eating, tell the manager and she's genuinely horrified. She pays for our food and drinks and is generally very pleasant to us and promises this won't happen again. I waited about a month to go back there and order the same thing, as everything on the plate was great, just uncooked hamburger. So this time they managed to cook half the hamburger to death, and still have the other half completely raw. I've made lots of hamburgers in my life and I have no idea how they would even accomplish this. Regardless, I won't ever go back there again as they served me raw hamburger twice. Come on, guys. Do not recommend. Food was ok and service was terrible & comical. Here's our experience: 1. Walked in and waited a few minutes before we asked the bartender if it's one of those seat-yourself places. Pet peeve - no sign or hostess! 2. Sat ourselves at a dirty table, and server came by to wipe with a dirty rag, still leaving the tabletop wet. Another pet peeve! 3. Menu looked promising.
