It's convenient, there's ample parking and most of all the best 3 home runs... great menu, quality of food and awesome service ~ every single time!! We visited just before Christmas and had a great breakfast with my SIL and her husband. We arrived before they did but were seated quickly and waitresses kept us in coffee until everyone arrived. My SIL and husband split a potato breakfast scramble - half was about double what either really wanted to eat! My husband and I both had omelets that were large and very good. This is my family's favorite breakfast place. We are all healthy so we love the egg whites and they will make the hashbrowns without oil. I often get the protein scramble. Lots of food for the price. Their service is outstanding. I know all the waitresses by name because they are so friendly and provide you with outstanding service. I wish they were open all day and not close at 3 o'clock.One of my favorite dishes here is their turkey burgers. They make those so delicious. Cute greasy spoon in a prime location on 2nd Street in Naples. Just like the name says, this place is small, with just a few booths and bar seating. The interior is surprisingly plain and undecorated, but has a subtle 80's diner vibe. I feel they could do a lot more with the decor, as it currently has very little personality. Upon entering, I was greeted warmly by the one waitress working. 5 stars for her. Attentive, cheerful, and genuinely friendly. Looking at the generic menu, it was still unclear what type of cafe this was. Zero vegan options, mostly diner classics. They have veggie sausage, but it isn't vegan-they use Morningstar brand. They do however have Soyrizo, so I opted for a vegan version of their Special Spuds, with no meat or cheese, add avocado and Soyrizo. It was edible (after adding a lot of hot sauce and ketchup), but not good. The hash browns were completely soaked in oil, and had a strong canola oil flavor. The coffee however, was very good-a nice dark roast that tasted great black. I would not eat here again, but I think non-vegan diner food lovers might enjoy this place. read more

My boyfriend and I were in the area and came across this cafe. We loved the outside seating, especially because they had plenty of umbrellas available to keep the tables under the shade. We got the Breakfast Special which was a great choice since it came with a little bit of everything, eggs, hash, choice of protein (we liked the sausage), and pancake or French Toast (French toast was yummy!) . We enjoyed our meal, and left super full. Our server Stephanie was amazing! She was very nice, attentive, and quick. Thank you! Something worth mentioning is that while we were there, the mailman stopped by to pick up some food (it was packaged all ready to go) and they gave him his meal for free! I was at the Small Cafe a few weeks ago for breakfast with a group of people; the first time for all of us. The wait was shorter than expected thankfully. The whole front of the restaurant opens up so it nice and airy, and it have a great feel to the place. It's a small parking lot but we didn't have much trouble parking Good breakfast, good price, and though the staff was friendly our service was lacking. One of the people in out group wrote a review, I had not. I always give a place a second chance if the service was a bit lacking. Everyone is entitled to a second chance. A fried and I stopped by this past weekend. My second time, his first. The band wasn't there- they only play once a month. The food was once again good, and our server was excellent. I mentioned the previous experience to her. A bit later a high energy, friendly woman comes sliding to our table, Melanie the owner. She asked if we had written the previous review, which we hadn't but someone in our previous party had. She apologized for the service, let us know that server was brand new, but didn't make excuses for her. As a business owner I was impressed. Melanie was friendly, fun, and thanked us for coming back. Soooo good! We were in town for a little beach outing with our kiddos and stopped in here. The food was delicious! Seriously was ready to call Guy Fieri. My daughter had the French toast, which she loved, my son the pancakes, pastrami was to die for...and I'm from NY, avocado toast was way better than mine at home! Overall the food was okay and the coloring option was quite fun. The portions were a little smaller than expected and was told there was a typo in the menu. Under the classics on the menu it says they are served with hash browns and toast. When we didn't get these we asked about them and we're told they can in the sandwich which only had egg and ham.... Then was told it was a typo in the menu and they don't serve it. Then when we said it's on the menu and we were expecting that to come with the meal we were told one of the servers was going to get the manager and then minutes later dropped a plate of hasbrowns off without another word said. The Small Cafe magic is gone. The food went from excellent to just ok. All long-time servicers and staff are gone. Menu is now half as many items. The location still has the same problems it has always had of poor parking (now exasperated with all dine in the parking lot), and only 3 small outside dining tables when parking lot is restored. I travel to the area and this used to be my go to place to eat. When they server dinner, I would sometime eat both breakfast and dinner in the same day. To give an idea of how much of a regular I was, here is how many times I dined there in the past: 141 times in 2017, 123 times in 2016, 130 times in 2019, 11 times in 2020. It is beyond me how they changed how the food tastes, same cooks and same item on menu. Both items I have tried under the new owners went from excellent to ok. Turkey club now dry and not very favorable, and homemade chips do not have much taste and are rubbery. Can't comment on what has happened to the fries because they are now an up-charge side on the already higher priced menu. read more

I never saw the point in leaving bad reviews for the due fact there's always another side to the story. But in this case, I will make that exception. Let's start by saying it took 10+ minutes for someone to acknowledge my party & I were even standing there in broad day light. Now if they were busy, I'd understand the delay but this wasn't the case. We finally got seated & it only took another 10 minutes to even receive our menus & water. Finally our order was taken & once done, we waited another 30+ minutes. I finally had to go up & say something. As I'm asking about estimation for food arrival, the waitress blatantly looks back & I see our order on the countertop (& who knows how long it's been sitting there). Again if there was a hustle & bustle occurring, I'd understand a delay but this was not the case. As I got back to my seat not one, but TWO nearby tables validated the terrible service & timeliness we were all receiving. Even after seeing our order sitting there, it STILL took another 5 min to walk. We asked for the check & the male owner had the audacity to tell us we had not been waiting for a long time & said aloud the time our order got put in (which is when they put IN our order, not the TIME we actually ordered) as if this would make us feel better & change our awful experience. Being in customer service myself, I'd expect someone who "runs" a restaurant to understand professionalism but I guess it's not right to always assume. In all, I will never come back or recommend anyone comes here unless they want to be waiting from opening to closing for a simple plate of bacon & eggs. read more
