Hmm, I was torn between a four. My first time back, I enjoyed my burger and fries. Especially the fries but the second shot was a miss. The kids hot dog and fries weren't that good. I only ate it because I paid for it. Please don't give that to your children. I asked for a second set of fries because they looked dry and old, but the server gladly replaced them. That hot dog should be for dogs and was poor quality as if it was purchased from the 99 cents store. I thought clearly the stand has better quality. I've been to this location a few times over the years and always had a pleasant experience. Recently I had a very good experience with store Manager Chuy. He was very kind and greeted us with a smile. He helped us with our order and suggested some other new items in the menu which we ordered. The sandwich was great. I have attached a picture of the fries. They charge $6.50 for this tiny amount of fries. When I questioned the tiny amount of fries the server said yeah we used to give way more, I said the price didn't change but now you give 1/4 the amount of fries. She laughed and walked away. What a RIP off! Edit, I received an email from corporate regarding my review above and rating of one star. I feel my concerns have been heard and recognized. While this doesn't change the fact that they are waaay over charging for fries at least they are willing to listen to the customers. Our favorite spot to eat burgers, Sadly they do not have the Brussel sprouts that was to die for. Almost gave it 4 stars because of it ...But the large chili cheese fries is a must The all you can eat sliced pickles and picketed jalapeños if your into that is awesome. We got take out last night from The Stand. We ordered the chopped Chinese chicken salad, fire fries and Mac n cheese. The salad is quite substantial. It is 2 or 3 meals for me, and 1 for my husband. I get the dressing and wontons on side for non soggy leftovers. The chicken is grilled with a bit of a smoke flavor and the salad stuff is very fresh. The dressing tastes like Chin Chin's. It's so good. Great salad!!! The Mac n cheese is fine. Their fries were very crispy and flavorful. My husband and I have very few favorite restaurants. The Stand in Calabasas is one of them. The food is good but not the reason we keep coming back. Everyone who works there is very friendly and accommodating to our requests. We are really made to feel at home. My husband likes to make a "dead man's float" using the Stands' soft serve ice cream and the Nitro Dark Star beer and his preferences are honored. The staff has never made a mistake on any of our orders or cooked anything wrong, although I have been present when someone else complained (and they fixed it immediately, no questions asked). My husband and I can go there, spend a pleasant afternoon/evening and leave feeling it was time spent in a welcoming, pleasant environment. Although, as retirees, we are not in a major hurry, the service is relatively fast and cooked to order. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy a meal in the fast food/casual dining category. read more

I do recommend their salads for sure. The onlye one that is over salty is the quinoa kale salad which it was extremely salty. Their dressings are super delicious on all other salads. The Stand Burger is what I'd call The Habit BUT better. It's grilled and melts in your mouth. The fries are meh, I won't recommend them. They're a bit too hard for my taste. I ordered food from here last night at 9pm ish for pick up (they close at 10) , we got 2 burgers and a salad. We arrived to pick it up 15 min after the order was placed and brought the food straight home which was only a couple minutes away. My custom burger was literally the worst burger I have ever had in my life. I literally got a basic beef cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, onion, ketchup and mustard. I'll start by saying it was ice cold.. like I had to put it in the toaster oven for 15 min and it still didnt get warm. The bun was rock hard cause it had been toasted, and then turned tough (this was before i re-heated it), the lettuce had chucks i had to pull out of the center stem that you would normally cut out and not eat and there was enough mustard for 4 burgers on it. Basically I took a few bites because im pregnant and starving but the burger was not edible and I ended up throwing it out. Also didnt trust it incase it wasnt made fresh, being pregnant... cause it sure as hell tasted like it was made a week before, refrigerated then reheated to be sent out. Sucks cause ive eaten in the stand before and enjoyed it. Not sure whag happened, maybe people just dont care late at night and want to go home. Stopped in with a group of friends and family-- Definitely a bit pricey for what you get, but they do have a lot of options on the menu. The staff was friendly and there are a good amount of seating (both indoor and outside) plus plenty of parking spots so that's always nice. If you're in a rush though, might not be best place for that-- it wasn't packed when I went and I ended up still waiting around 30 minutes for the food. read more

OMG! STAY AWAY. These people are as rude as it gets. We went there a while back for fries and after 20 minutes and watching others order and pick up food and yes with fries we decided to get a refund and leave. Contacted their home office and they offered $10.00 towards a meal. A couple months later we decided to give them another try and OMG the same guy is on the register. We went ahead and extremely politely ordered a burger, sandwich and of course the fries and sat down. 20 minutes go by and a couple along with a teen ordered and sat down and within minutes they had their food and were eating but NOT US! Then another couple sits down after ordering and boyfriend say "We're at the 30 minute plus mark and if they get served, we're done" and you know it, their food arrive. Waited 42 minutes for nothing! Then we approached this same guy and buy the way we did NOT use the $10.00 promised, and the guy says "leme check". Boyfriend said "NO, refund now". He played with the keys for a minute then said he needed the manager. OMG he brings out the same "Manager" as before who looks straight at me and then my boyfriend and says "Your refund is coming right up". WOW! Boyfriend told him we were hungry and the "Manager" ignored him and started singing, dancing/wiggling and doing the index finger poke thing at the register keys. YES, THAT'S RIGHT! SINGING A TUNE AND DANCING! WHAT WAS HE CERLEBRATING? Sent these people a message on their corporate site and some genius responds that he wants to talk but in the mean time try's to talk us into downloading the app so out checkout would be faster. WOW! WOW! WOW! They really need to terminate both these people. All the places I have worked in my lifetime wouldn't even hesitate. They could easley look at the cameras. I tried their Grand Stand Turkey Sandwich with fries and a cookies n cream shake (a must) and the sandwich tasted super fresh because of that DILL not only was the food amazing, but the service was great as well!! As far as fast food spots go... I'm totally digging the stand. A pretty nice selection of options + beer/wine make for a great time! I think two of my favorite things were the Grown Up Grilled Cheese and the Chimmy Salad. The grilled cheese had short rib inside, so it was definitely on the heavier side, but the flavor was definitely there. The salad was a bit lighter and I loved the dressing on top! It was also a decent portion size which is important for salads as they aren't going to be as filling as a burger or hotdog. Speaking of which I think the big disappointment here was the chili dog. It had too much casing... or at least the taste/feel of the casing was kind of off putting. I generally do like chili dogs, but I don't like that extra crunch when biting into it. We drive past this restaurant all the time but wish we would have stopped in sooner. This place has some amazing food. Plenty of options for everyone. I had the Big Blu with a turkey burger and my husband had the ABC with beef patty. Both were cooked perfectly and tasted great. We shared the sweet potato fries (also very good). And the sauce options! The staff was very nice and our food came out quickly. Even though you order at the counter, we were checked on a few times to make sure we were good. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Casual but nice. We will definitely be coming back and only sad we didn't find it sooner. read more
