The Table is my favorite restaurant for brunch. I love their food, service and overall vibe. I've been here numerous times. I had their eggs Benedict (classic & salmon), traditional breakfast, beignets and their bottomless mimosas. Not sure why I never wrote a review before. Better late than never. This review is based on my most recent visit. I ordered the chicken fried steak (country gravy, hash browns and my choice of poached eggs). For drinks, I had their coffee and my best friend wanted to buy me a drink, so I got the pink ranger. The chicken was moist, but a little too fried for my liking. I was surprised at the size of it. Gravy was not thick, but more on the thin consistency side. The pink ranger was delicious. It had a citrus and sweet taste. They did went overboard on the ice. Staff were efficient, helpful and attentive. Place is spacious with indoor and outdoor dining. There is also a bar. Overall, this visit was a solid 4 out of 5. Came here for the first time on 7/10 after work. Located on Lincoln Street in the Willow Glen area. There's limited parking directly behind The Table but you can find street parking in the neighborhood or in the parking garage across the way. There is either indoor seating or outdoor seating. Very cool inside considering there was a heatwave in the area. Came here during happy hour which ends at 5:30pm during the week. I got the potato wedges, tangy popcorn chicken, and the burger. The happy hour food came out pretty fast after ordering. At first, we didn't get the free bread but noticed everyone else getting it, so we just asked and received it. The difference between the happy hour burger and the dinner burger is that the dinner burger comes with wedges but the happy hour doesn't. Food was good nonetheless. The wedges and dip were okay. Wished the wedges were a bit more crispy on the outside. The tangy chicken was not at all spicy, which I like. I don't do spicy but this was manageable. To end it, I got the beignets. Warm lemon curd and warm beignets. They were good. Note: Starting August 1, 2024, The Table will start charging an additional 3% if you pay with credit card. Came here for brunch with a party of 7. It was my second time coming, the other time I came was with a party of 6 and both times we had to wait about an hour before we could get seated. My friend had tried to make a reservation for us, but was unable to. They do charge a fee if you bring a cake to cut to celebrate for someone's birthday, which is understandable. I believe our waitress said that it was $2 per person. ~~Parking: The Table's parking lot itself is pretty small, so I would say that you'd have better luck going into the parking lot on the Main Street (Willow Glen Town Square Parking) or street parking. ~~Service: Fair, the servers are nice. Needless to say, the bottomless mimosas are an amazing deal. When I went, our waitress was so nice and attentive- and our drinks were both fresh and strong. However, the food that I got was even better. The bone marrow was so tender and flavorful. It melted in my mouth and I could not stop raving about it. I went back recently and had the sardine tartine & a side of biscuits/gravy. I could not believe how good they both were. The biscuit was a generous but still normal size and the flavor was incredible. Buttery, soft and covered in a thin layer of cheese, the biscuit and gravy is now a must order from me. The sardine tartine was plated beautifully- and every bite was filler with amazing flavor. I know sardines are controversial, but I swear I've never seen them look this good. As a slight negative, I felt so oily after eating these- but it was so worth it. My only other criticism is this: I want to try the cocktails here so bad, but that bottomless mimosa deal is too attractive (lol). read more

The eggs benny also isn't like a regular eggs Benny, it was a piece of sour dough cut with a whole and the egg lived there on top of a really large piece of Canadian bacon. Still enjoyed every bit of it. Egg white frittata is what you'd expect, soft airy eggs with perfectly roasted vegetables. finally the highlight of the show the smoked salmon potato dish. We visit The Table yesterday for lunch. My coworker got "The only burger that belongs on the table" and I got Ceviche. The burger was like a 6 out of 9 in my opinion. It comes with nothing on the side, is just a burger so make sure you ask to add fries or salad. The ceviche is a very super small portion and is fish with like 6 pieces of chips. We ask for some cocktails and I clearly say light on the ice, they got mine in a smaller glass cup which I don't mind but they still add more than enough ice on it and my teeth is very sensitive. The chicken and gravy were pretty good, but nothing much stands out. The roasted chicken was very underwhelming. The chicken and gnocchi were really dry even though it was covered in sauce. The only thing that I felt like it had flavor was the artichoke heart, and I think it's either collard greens or kale. The service was great except for the host. The host that sat us down didn't seem friendly at all. We didn't really feel welcomed and she left right as we sat. They have a decent amount of indoor, bar, and outdoor seating with patio heaters. On the weekends, they offer chicken and waffles which is lathered in sausage gravy, but honestly it was subpar. The seasoning in the breading of the chicken tasted very pepper heavy and the gravy wasn't memorable. I really liked the smoked salmon benedict, the egg was perfectly poached and the hollandaise sauce is so buttery. Although, the English muffin or whatever toast it sits on was difficult to eat. It had a really tough bottom crust that I couldn't cut or bite into easily. The hash browns were also very crusty and almost stale? I dressed it up with ketchup, cholula, s&p to make it more enjoyable. But overall, I liked this way more than the chicken and waffles. From their cocktails menu, I tried the Tropic Like It's Hot, made with gin, chartreuse, lychee, lime, serrano shiso syrup, and garnished with a shiso leaf! I tried the wedges with its dip, but the dip wasn't for me. However, I would order both of these items again! I asked our server for a recommendation that was on the "sweeter" side from their "featured cocktails" section and they recommended "sun's out bun's out". It was a good recommendation. But $14 for a beet salad that was literally half a plate? Come on. And $18 for what was basically one tablespoon of chicken mousse? That's just ridiculous. Every time I come here, I leave disappointed. The portions aren't just small -- they're microscopic. For comparison, King's Fish House serves a beet salad that's at least triple the size for around the same price. Here, it feels like they're just charging premium prices for tiny bites. Sure, it's the heart of Willow Glen, it's a cozy spot, and the "rich crowd" keeps it busy, but that doesn't justify charging crazy amounts for such tiny portions. $117 for drinks and appetizers isn't insane these days, but the portion sizes here are laughable. It was just excellent- with bourbon, rye and maraschino liqueur it hit all the right notes. This is now one of my top drinking places. The lady who waited on us was prompt and yet didn't hurry us and let us enjoy our food. They serve you one free piece of bread. Which is good because you don't want to fill up on bread. We had the fish which was cod served with vegetables and potatoes patty. And then the vegetarian option of falafel served with fried green tomatoes and roasted romanesco. The portions were decent. The outdoor seating can get really humid and toasty during the summer and early autumn, so try to get some indoor seating if it's hot outside! I only waited 10 minutes on a Saturday at 11:45 AM. Here's what I recommend: + Bottomless Mimosas ($15): I'm not a fan of champagne, but you can hardly taste it! Honestly just tasted like STRAIGHT ORANGE JUICE... but I definitely felt myself getting tipsy. They give you a small glass and keep refilling it (until you pay for the check). + Roasted Caulini Prosciutto & Grits ($17): This was superb! I was actually really enjoying this dish. They didn't have an caulini in season, so they replaced my dish with spinach, snow peas, cherry tomatoes, and onions. The veggies were very fresh and weren't really roasted (lacked a smokiness), but still delicious! The prosciutto had the salty cured flavor that I loved.
