I think it's great that you own a Subway franchise in New York City, but I might hesitate from throwing around the word 'chef' too haughtily. I mean just because one wears a cowboy hat does not mean one owns cattle, am I right? Perhaps there were dishes on the menu that one could argue were overengineered, but they tasted great! And consider that you have no idea where in the culinary journey their chef is, nor what the market needs or will bear in Bar Harbor. The place was packed. Service was great. Food was divine! On a Tuesday night. Maybe next time you visit a restaurant, leave your Michelin yardstick in the trunk of your broomstick, and simply relax. We ordered the crab fritter appetizer and it was really good. I had the scallops and my husband had the boar shank and not were very good. For dessert we had the pistachio semifreddo and again it was also very good. It's a quaint little place with a great view and the food and drinks were top notch. I don't think you can go wrong with anything you order and we will be back when we are in bar harbor again.
