Excellent quality seafood, fresh melt-in-your-mouth cuts of Chu Toro, Hamachi and more. It was actually better than other Omakase restaurants in Tokyo! The restaurant is small, seating is less than 20 people. Tasteful and simply decorated. People were dressed in nice evening wear (and we couldn't understand why the hostess was wearing a casual hoodie with a smiley face). Be sure to make a reservation well in advance. Thirteen Water will always be my go to omakase spot. The selection of nigiri are fresh and flavorful time and time again. I enjoy the unique toppings for each piece. This place exceeded my expectations for the price of $75. You have more than enough food, and the bites are delicious and surprising. There is always somewhere there to fill your water, and it's a beautiful low-light space. I have been to a couple omakases in the city and this one was by far my favorite! All of the seafood was fresh and perfectly prepared. I like that it was a mix of modern and traditional style. It's a layered omakase so the flavor combinations are familiar but in an entirely new application. The chef was friendly and we had a great conversation talking about the sushi, it was honestly a fantastic experience; I am already thinking about my next time in! One of the new, very good Sushi Omikase places that are reasonably priced. Many new Omikase restaurants began charging $200-$400 a person, which is ridiculous, and certainly not worth it, except for Sushi Seki on First Avenue and 62nd street. So now we can have a good Omikase experience for under $100. The service is terrific, very friendly and accommodating, and each sushi piece is a work of art. The chef and the waitresses are extremely nice. Although I am not a big fan of saki, I even found a saki that I liked. Overall, a solid, professional Omikase sushi restaurant. read more

I took my parents, my partner's family, friends, anyone who will listen. Aaron is an awesome sushi chef with an amazing innovative menu that still respects the simplicity and quality of the fish. I usually feel content after the omakase, and a few additional pieces following the hour long meal will get into the pricey range (but worth it if you're still hungry). I am obsessed with thirteen waters! This may be my new favorite omakase spot. It's very affordable at $75 PP for 13 pieces. I actually think this is a steal because every piece was so delicious and not ordinary. They added special ingredients to really enhance each piece and there were a few pieces that were unique. I have not seen these in other omakase spots or I have but it's rare. It was kind of a mix of a classy vibe but also very chill. The best way for me to describe it is that it was classy but they had some gryffin and Ariana grande playing in the background and you were able to speak to your friends in a regular tone without feeling uncomfortable. The head chef was so accommodating and the staff was super attentive. There was not a single piece that I did not love and I will be coming back here all the time. read more
