Love this place!!! Delicious teriyaki chicken bowls. Made fresh when you order. They get really busy during lunch rush hour so it's good to call ahead and place your phone order so you just come in and pick up instead of waiting around. My husband and I have been living in Orange for about a year now and we have made Tikiyaki our #1 lunch and dinner spot. We have been eating here once a week for the past several months. Sometimes we eat there , sometimes we call for take-out and bring it home. We absolutely love it. Everything is made fresh and is really really good. We end up ordering the same things every time. My husband gets the orange chicken bowl with no pineapple (I'm pretty sure the owners remember us because of this lol) and I also get the chicken bowl sometimes (it's the best I've had from anywhere) or I get the teriyaki chicken bowl (white meat) with veggies if I'm trying to eat more healthy. Both are delicious options. The cost is cheap, because you also get a free drinks with those bowls and they give you so much food that we can only eat half of our bowls and we each end up with a second meal. I'm so glad Tikiyaki is close to us so we can eat here all the time. read more

Joey, the owner, is an awesome guy! Very nice and down to earth. Went for the first time and he was very welcoming! Food was amazing. I took two coworkers with me. One got the tropical chicken plate with brown rice while the other and myself got the lunch special (tropical chicken bowl with white sticky rice ad drink for $5). I highly recommend this place to everyone! Puts flame broiler to shame (and I love flame broiler above all bowls....until now). Will definitely return.....perhaps tomorrow :) read more

Better alternatives to flamebroiler and panda because its tastes fresh, so I would give them a 4 star for the food and friendliness. We stopped in here after a day of making home-made jerky. The whole house smelled like teriyaki and we were jonesing for teriyaki, but had no urge to cook. Joey took our order and mentioned he hadn't seen us in there before. After explaining the jerky story, Joey said we had to try it with his teriyaki sauce (and he gave us a bottle - gratis - just return the bottle when we're done). Joey wasn't kidding. That sauce is epic. Without question the best teriyaki sauce around. We now boast the best jerky in town (just for our own consumption, so don't get any ideas or anything). That's not the best part of this review, though. The best part is the food from Tikiyaki! Fresh, flavorful and a seriously great value. I love the brown rice option (kids still prefer the white rice and it's nice to have a choice). We also tried the Volcano shrimp and the orange chicken and it was all super awesome. I ordered #12 plate (chicken and steak) and a side order of volcano shrimp (pictures and descriptions on Yelp... had to try, wasn't disappointed). It was ok. I wouldn't really say it's the best. The steak was a little tuff and the rice has no flavor and it's just a little too mushy but overall it was good and the meat was well marinated. As soon as we walked in my husband was turned off by the smell in the place so if your able to order in advance you should. How did I not know about this place before now? I ate here with my kids last night and the food was excellent! We had volcano shrimp and the quality and taste were of the highest standards for a 5 star restaurant--and this place claims to be Fast food! The kids loved the orange chicken too, it was fresh and delicious and easy to chew. The brown rice was delicious! It was perfectly steamed and was stickey too! I ordered a side of steamed vegetables and they weren't over cooked or undercooked. They were perfect. The cabbage salad that comes with the "plates" is just excellent. (They should serve that as a meal by itself with some of their teriyaki chicken, pineapple wedges And some green onion on top. Yummy!) I Couldn't have asked for more from a small fast food place like this. We will be back with bells on and we will bring friends next time--FOR SURE! read more

Great food all around. The plates give you much more food than the bowls, which are already a good size. Volcano Shrimp was phenomenal. After reading all of the positive reviews about this place, I had to try it. One time, I ordered the volcano shrimp bowl. The quality of the shrimp is good, but in my opinion, it was overly sauced. Another time, I got the $5.99 bowl special with orange chicken and a drink. The chicken was nice as it was not overly breaded like typical orange chicken. However, the taste is like Panda Express, nothing too special. If you're looking for a quick lunch place and you like Panda Express and other greasy "Chinese" food take out joints, then yes, you should try this. read more
