Came to this location for lunch. This was our first time trying Tin Drum and we were pleasantly surprised by the openness of the location. Upon walking in, you are greeted by a King of Pop's ice cream cooler, which is definitely a plus in my book. We ordered our meals with the cashier, with prices in the $8-$9 range. Once we ordered we were provided with a table number to have our food delivered accurately. Within 5-7 minutes after ordering our food was brought to our table. Very quick and courteous service. I wasn't 100% satisfied with my own meal choice and wished I had gone with the Sesame Chicken option. Though my meal wasn't bad, per-se, the Sesame Chicken was definitely more flavorful for my taste. A good location overall, will probably be back but not a go to location. read more

I used to eat at the first Tin Drum in Tech Square when I was a Tech student. I appreciated the Asian flavors, fast preparation, and friendly service. I stopped in to this new location on a Friday. I ordered the Basil Fried Rice with extra veggies to go. Around 2pm on a Friday, there were 2 other dine-in patrons and 1 other patron waiting for a to-go order. The space is bright and clean, with easy to read and follow menus. There's a King of Pops cooler featured in front of the glass of the open kitchen where you can see the food being cooked. My Basil Fried Rice came with a good portion of veggies and a heavy portion of rice. It's a lot of food for the price, but honestly, more than I wanted. The flavor was good, not great - could've used some more basil and spice, at it was mostly greasy rice. Still not my favorite take-out, but a decent option when I want some inexpensive Asian flavors. read more

Grabbed lunch at this new Tin Drum location the other day- not sure how I managed to never try it before then with so many locations in the Atlanta area, but I'm glad I finally made it! REWARDS The credit card reader was down when we visited, which ended up being a blessing in disguise...didn't have any cash, but they were still able to take card payments through the Tin Drum app. Link your card to the app and get $5 off your first purchase, plus another $5 off with every $55 spent. The app is very easy to use and offers other perks just for having it on your phone. ATMOSPHERE The restaurant is located in a strip mall off Roswell Road....easily accessible, and there's plenty of parking. The inside isn't huge, but there are lots of small tables and we had no problem finding seating during the lunch rush. Between the open kitchen, music, and closeness between tables, it's pretty noisy. Decor is modern and fun. FOOD Choose from a handful of stir fry, noodle, and curry dishes. All are around $8.50 and come with chicken and the stir fry entrees come with white rice (you can sub other types of meat/fish and/or brown rice an upcharge). I had the Pad Thai. The chicken was meh and the dish overall was a little too sweet for my taste, but there was so much that I had leftovers for lunch the next day- And with $5 off? Such a great deal. This place is pretty good for some fast casual Asian food. They have pad thai and some various stir fries. I got the mango basil jalapeño chicken over brown rice. It was pretty good and was made quickly. The staff is also very nice. It isn't as good as going to an actual Thai restaurant, but it is good for a quick meal. read more

Was excited to have Tin Drum again since it's been about 5 years but wow has it changed. Used to be under $10 for chicken tikka, now it's $11 and any protein choice is an extra charge. Also apparently it's supposed to come with cucumber, cilantro, and veggie chips- they didn't mention or include that. My order was to-go only which was understandable since it was 20 minutes until close, however I found it very weird that the tablet wouldn't let me pay until I put in an amount higher than 0 for a tip. I received my food in 60 seconds, 19 minutes til they closed, and when I opened the stapled-shut bag to check on it and add napkins the cashier exclaimed "OH you're going to check it? That's FINE". I asked if they could please include the bed of spinach I had requested instead of the rice choice some they only gave me 5 leaves, and they obligated after a few minutes. With this bad experience I was extremely surprised this location is one of the higher-rated Tim Drums in the area lol read more

Shout out to the Tin Drum leadership team for making sure every customer is left satisfied! Shortly after my first visit, I wasn't sure that I'd be coming back (at least for a little minute) but the owner made sure that thought went away quickly by reaching out to me personally to make it right. About a week later, I came in and sat with the manager who explained how their dishes are prepared along with the seasonings they used. He told me the curry dish I ordered follows a specific recipe so they can't tweak it much (hence why my dish was a little on the sweet side) so if I were to come again and order the same, to let the staff know to use only the powdered curry. He offered for me to try one of the other dishes so I opted for the Sing Chow Men - no jalapeños. Much much better! And that Mango Chicken? Sweet with a hint of spice. Just the way I like it! If you've had Tin Drum before, this is the same but in a new location. As a big fan of Tin Drum, I'll definitely be here again! If you've never been to a Tin Drum, think of it as an Asian Fusion restaurant. Don't expect traditional Asian food; they do their own twist (definitely a good thing). The rice was cooked well, the sauce was in the right ration, and my chicken was cooked perfectly. Dare I say it, the food might be slightly better than my current go to location! Giving a bonus star for giving both a fork and a spoon, which my nearest Tin Drum stopped doing recently. Long live the spoon! The staff was super friendly and helpful, so even if you're a newbie to the franchise, they'll help you find something delicious. The two stars are for her. She was AMAZING!! Patient, helpful, knowledgeable. They should make her manager. That said the second thing I ordered wasn't even eatable. They gave me old stale chicken, the rice was so old, clumped up together. I could hardly separate so needless to say didn't eat it. My noodles were drenched in some brown sugar syrup tasting sauce. The management is incredibly rude. I was having a business meeting, and had food ordered for the entire team. When our food arrived, we were missing 2 items. One of the staff called and notified them, and they said they would take care of it if one of us came to pick it up. Another member of staff went to pick it up, they stated he needed the receipt which he forgot so he called me for the number, when they then said nevermind they had it, then said they were making the food and to have a seat. After him missing for 30minutes from work, he returns to let us know that the staff was incredibly rude to him, they said we were lying about missing food, and that they know it was in the bag. Needless to say our meeting was an hour late. The original member of staff who called, once again called to have management say that our employee was lying about what happened, and that all they did was request the receipt and they knew the food was in the bag. Other than that, my Pad Thai noodles were hard and dry, had little flavor and the chicken was burnt. TLDR, the management is incredibly rude, and to top it off when the food got here it was cold, and tasted bland. They wasted our staff's time on the clock, never gave us our full order, and accused us of lying. Extremely disappointed and will never go there again. read more

I got two spring rolls and the Sesame bowl. The spring rolls were really good but the sesame bowl was waaaaay too drenched in sauce, making the whole thing overwhelming and inedible. Third visit to get take out. The Vietnamese spring rolls sold us. Our measure of any Asian restaurant is always the spring rolls and Tin Drum excells.
