The food was actually really good and was well prepared and quick to come out. It was nice and warm and the server was amazingly friendly and we had good conversations to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. The layout of the whole restaurant is just an amazing vibe when it comes to dining in. Definitely recommend coming here

We came here for dinner this past mid-November on a Sunday evening. This Tin Drum location is in a strip mall with some popular businesses sharing the same free parking lot, but this was no issue since there were many spaces available. We walked in, and there was only one customer who was already there waiting for her take out order. There were only two employees, and one of them was just standing at the order counter. Apparently greeting customers wasn't included in her training because all she did was give us a blank stare - not even a smile, as if she didn't want to be there. R approached the order counter and said hello to the employee, and, get this, all she did was wave to him. Smh. She didn't say a word until he asked about a couple of menu items. We both ordered the Pork Belly Tonkotsu Ramen, which included pork belly chashu (braised pork), soy egg, bean sprouts, green onions, crispy onions, garlic oil, chili oil, broth and ramen noodles. In addition, R ordered a small Drum salad. We waited about 10 minutes for our food to be served to us at the table. We got the ramen, but didn't get the salad. R told the employee who bought our food that he had also ordered a salad, and the employee told him that she'd bring it out as soon as it was prepared. I thought the ramen was just ok. The egg was cooked perfectly, but it was cold. Nothing about the ramen stood out in a good way. 20 minutes after our ramen was served, right as we got done eating, R's salad was brought to our table. Maybe the employee thought that the salad was a dessert? Anyhow, she didn't explain the delay in bringing the salad or apologize, but, by this time, we didn't care, frankly. Our minds about coming back to this location was already decided. We're definitely NOT returning. Lots of tables for customers. However, we were the only ones in there eating. While we were there, all of the other customers (about 5 total) that came in were there to pick up their take out orders. Average food, terrible service.

Edible but not good. I really wanted to enjoy it. Here's my mixed review... Online ordering: Good, fast, and easy. Location: Lots of parking, free parking, in plaza close to interstate. Easy to get in and out of. Atmosphere: Really nice and clean in the inside. Looks like a good place to meet for lunch. Price: High for the quality. Food: Bland, chewy. Not good. I had the sesame chicken with fried rice. I did not enjoy it. My son had sesame shrimp with fried rice and he said it was ok. Service: The cashier was very nice and friendly.

We had a delicious yet quick meal at Tin Drum Asian Kitchen. The gentleman who took our order was friendly and made great recommendations. Good thing I like curry, because they are the only things on the menu that are gluten free! But seriously, the Bangkok Sweet Chili Curry with shrimp was so wonderful, especially with chili paste on the side. I was glad to have had brown rice as well. My husband let me share his caramel boba tea (one of few without caffeine), which was very sweet but lip-smacking. And my husband really enjoyed his pork ramen soup. The food arrived quickly and was nice and hot.

They kept coming over to make sure I was okay and to keep my water filled. It it in a shopping center so there is free parking. Going inside there are plenty of dining room tables for all sizes of groups. From the outside you can't see it but there is much more space than meets the the when you go in. Pork egg roll - the egg rolls were okay. They honestly were good but did that's nearly enough pork filling for me. You bite into it and it's egg roll wrap and mostly cabbage. But because of that the sauce they gave was useful. To be that big, they didn't have enough filling but it doesn't mean I didn't eat then (they were cooked to perfection though as far as the crisp and crust goes). General Tsos chicken - so the chicken was really good. Came with white rice and it was very plentiful. It was heavily sauced, so if you don't like as much of the sauce then you won't want this dish. The sauce was sweet and spicy and had great flavor. The chicken came in nice chunks (not like other places that may give you crumbs or super small pieces) and they definitely did not try to skimp you at all. Fried wonton - So the fried wontons weren't the move at all. They were fried extra hard. Hard enough to wear. You can taste anything but the fried crust and there was nothing on the inside. Having to bite into it. Just taste crunch and not flavor. Wasn't ideal. Overall this was a decent spot but the appetizers kind of let me down. The main was good and that would get me back in to try another dish.

We were a party of 5 and found both the food and the service to be inconsistent. The Food: Most dishes were mediocre or worse. The Three Cups Chicken (1/5) was the worst I've ever had. The Hong Kong Style Shrimp (1/5) was just bland, tasteless fried shrimp. The Lamb with Scallion (2/5) was far too salty. The only "average" dish was the Spicy Beef and Tendon (3/5), but one decent dish can't save a meal this poor. The Service & Billing: The service was quite slow during our visit. We waited a long time for the check and eventually ended up packing our own leftovers and heading to the front counter to pay so we could head out. I was also surprised to see an automatic 20% gratuity added to the bill, especially since it was calculated on the total after tax ($23.07 tip on a $106.80 subtotal). While I understand automatic tips for groups, it felt a bit high due to poor services. There are a lot of great dining spots in the area, but based on this disappointing visit, I'm sure I would not return to this one.
