I have been going to this salon for 10+ years and have always had nothing but outstanding service. I recently broke my leg and am confined to a wheelchair. I made an appointment with Henry and told them about the situation, they said it was no problem ( I cannot bend my leg at all!) Henry went above and beyond to accommodate me to getting a long overdue manicure. He completely rearranged his work station plus one other since I could not sit at the work station. As usual I got a perfect manicure! As it turned out I was the first client ever to be served in such an unusual situation. Yesterday, my 5 year old niece somehow decided she wanted to get her nails done yesterday. Trying to find a place that would do a manicure and pedicure on a young child mid day Saturday was a challenge for sure. V was beyond wonderful and patient with my niece and made the whole experience so wonderful for her. I have been going to Tip Top nails for a couple years now. Linda gives you the best pedicure according to your needs. She knows feet 4 sure. Lol. I have issues with mine and she keeps me in good shape so I don't have to go to my pediatrist. I don't know what I would do without her expertise. She also does nails to perfection of any kind. Including acrylics, dip powder and just good old fashioned manicures. I'm sure the other girls in the shop do a wonderful job too but after I found Linda, I haven't had a reason to try anyone else. I've been going to Cindy for quite awhile. Everyone in the shop Is friendly but I just hit it off with Cindy's pedicures and nails. I love fun designed nails and she does incredible work. Let me just tell you how disappointed I was with the ladies in this shop, they were not welcoming! Misleading sign with low pricing, huge discrepancies there. I sat down and lady was thinking what to over charge me, other lady behind me spoke Vietnamese assuming I cannot understand her. She was unprofessional and stated " she has a designer purse but she's penny pinching" Wow just wow! They were rude and speak poorly of customers due to their English barrier, not sanitary and safe during this covid circumstances. Annie did my pedicure. She was very sweet, but wasn't impressed with her work as after 3 days did my gel pop off one of my toes. It's not a good thing when you spend close to $60 for a service and a tip just to be let down. I wanted to give them a try as I was in the market for a quick couple hours to myself and needed a pedi. So I decided since they are across the street, I might as well. I got the deluxe pedicure and paid the extra charge for gel. I get gel because it lasts a lot longer than regular gel. I noticed 1 popped off in the shower after 3 days of being applied. Then 2 days later another popped off. It was one of those things, that I didn't expect them to do anything about because they are a small mom&pop shop. At least I gave them a try and know where to get quality service. read more

I was bummed when I saw reviews that my other nail place changed names and ownership/staff. I've been hesitant to go anywhere else and my Yelp search in my area was disheartening. We had decided to go to Smith's and I saw Tip Top nails out of the corner of my eye. I Yelped them and I liked what I saw. I walked in on a Saturday afternoon and they were super busy but Wanda greeted me right away. I showed her what I wanted and I think she knew exactly what it was because she informed me that they didn't have the holographic that I was looking for. Probably a powder because I wanted it to be holographic from the tip and fade down ombre style. I decided on another color and sat in her chair. She did my whole nail prep, light pink powder, shape and filing. Jason had come over and said he found something similar to what I initially wanted in the form of a holographic polish. It was space-shift 4D and it looked great so Wanda started applying it. Unfortunately, the formula dried so fast it was really hard to get that fade effect. So Jason took over for the application but still, that formula was just not having it. All the staff was so so kind, they didn't want me to leave disappointed and they worked until we could get it right. It was SO NICE the way they treated me. You could tell they just really wanted me to be happy. So we decided to go back to that second option I chose but switch the colors up and I got a beautiful set of nails from Wanda and Jason! I have been here many many times over the years. I used to live nearby so this was my to go place for my mani/pedi's. It may not look fancy but the place is clean and the staff does a good job. Most of them have been there since my first visit years ago. You never have to wait long if you don't have an appointment and the prices are good too. They don't always have a great selection of nail polish colors, but if your looking for a "normal" basic color you'll be okay. They had lime green this time, so I was excited! Second and last time here. started going cuz my aunt has been going here for years. With pedicures I'm more concerned about the cuticle work and getting all the dead skin in making my toes look healthy again they do none of that they do the bare minimum as far as that goes. The first pedicure I had with them was very average didn't even last a week before it looked like crap now this last one right here that I got was horrible again she did very little cuticle and dead skin removal on my toes do you know when they go under and the kind of pull the dead skin I hate when they do that but it makes it big toe look really nice LOL anyways on top of that she did not know how to apply polish! Even though it wasn't one of those fancy shmancy nail packages, she took her time painting my nails. She would also take the time to fix my nails whenever she would mess up. I felt like she wasn't trying to rush to finish fast unlike other nail salon workers. She was genuinely nice and would make conversation with me without all that awkwardness that I usually feel at nail salons. Yesterday I went to Tip Top Nails. Since I'm new in Vegas, I'm still in the "try everything" phase. During my adventure, I requested a full set of gel nails and a pedicure. If you don't want to wait, and you are an early bird like me (comes with the territory when you word EST and CST time zones!), I would definitely recommend the 9:30-10:15 AM time frame. There were only two gentlemen (YOU GUYS FREAKING ROCK) getting manis and pedis. I was acknowledged as soon as I came into the establishment and quickly sat for my gel set. Overall, it was a pretty good experience. Gel Set: The gentleman who did my nails was very polite, chatted with me about Las Vegas, and did a nice job on my nails. They are a little thicker than I would have preferred, but I've had much worse. In the future, I'll probably ask for a little more rounded edges because I keep stabbing myself. Totally not his fault since I said squared... User error! My full set ran me $50. I'm not used to Las Vegas prices yet, so I'm not clear if this is a good price. Pedi: I opted for the Deluxe Pedi which was a STEAL at $35 dollars. I'm not sure what each and every little thing was, but I received three different treatments, in addition to an awesome hot towel steam thing on my legs. Got my toes done here. 20 dollar pedicure, i wasn't expecting the best....but what i REALLY wasn't expecting is the amount of crap they said about their customers! I'm vietnamese. I don't look like i am...but i am. I speak the language FLUENTLY. i understand EVERYTHING. The whole time i was getting my pedicure they commented on my weight, my wifes weight, the guy a couple chairs down from my wife. my wife's skin disorder. they asked each other if i'm gay because i was getting polish on my toes. The shop is clean and there is plenty of staff. I came in for a new gel manicure and unfortunately I won't be coming back. I look young... I understand that but that is no reason to assume that I can't afford a $40 dollar manicure. I felt somewhat disrespected....and I'm not easily offended. $40 is quite pricey for what I usually get and is what Polished on rainbow charges but for good reason. Their nail techs are on point...manicure always lasts. That being said if my manicure had lasted for more than a few days I wouldn't be writing this review. My nail tech didn't know how to work with gels so it kept running into my cuticles as she directed me to put my hand under the UV. I told her multiple times but she brushed it off as if I didn't know what I was talking about. Been getting my manicures and pedicures done here lately because they don't seem to do a horrible job, then again it is a hit or miss depending who I get and how busy it is. I thought i should recommend my friend here since its an average walk in nail salon and my friend was looking for a new nail salon anyways because the person who did her nails previously had moved away. We walked in and were greeted kindly by the manager. She asked us what we wanted done, and there were about 4-5 people already getting manicures or pedicures so i thought "oh boy...might get our nails rushed today." I just got a french tip pedicure with a little flower design on the toe because i thought "they can't mess up a simple french tip" which the women did a very good job and she was super nice about it! Now... for my friend she just got her nail polish on her toe changed with an art design, not so hard. It came out looking really nice! the design on the toe was a black and white ribbon, i believe Miss Lisa was the one who drew it and she did a very nice job :] On to the nails... My friend needed a full set because her previous set had already started peeling off she told me the lady who did her nails, Lori, rushed and patted on the acrylic powder unevenly so one nail would be bulkier than the other, okay you might think it sounds picky but lets be real it would bother some of us. My friend tried telling her that some of the acrylic was unevenly and the lady just replied with "oh don't worry i'll just file it down later to make it even" she filed it alright, filed it so much and even made my friends nail shorter than she wanted it to be. After i was done with my pedicure i sat next to my friend and watched her paint the gel onto my friends nails. She would miss the sides of the nails and that irked me so much. it was like someone erasing a white board and leaving a small mark afterwards! Ugh. Now the polish between the nail fold and the actually nail should be easy to paint right? I mean you just paint the nail and it should look rounded, NOPE looked like a blob. That irked me even MORE, i was upset for her especially with the amount she paid for her nail to look like the shape of a blob($17 for Toenails painted + $50 for Fill + Gel *not including tip*). Then after everything was "done" my friend told her that a piece of the acrylic broke off, the lady took a file and filed it down and said "oh this is just the sparkle" after we got into the car she showed me, it was definitely NOT the sparkle, the acrylic did break off. It was too late to go back because we were already on the road i told her to call them and maybe they'll have us come back tomorrow to fix it or something because i know of other nail salons who fix it for their customers if its their doing. Here comes the funny part, my friend called her and they spoke in Vietnamese my friend told her "Hello i was just at your nail salon and the lady who did my nails did not do a very good job. She seemed to have rushed it, the sides of my nails aren't painted because she missed the sides. The nail itself is uneven and the acrylic that was just put on the edge has chipped off. When i came in i asked you, the manager, to pick someone to do my nails carefully and not in a rushing way. This was not what i wanted, the color is nice the acrylic and polish however was put on poorly." this is where i started laughing the manager replied with "Well... what do you mean by doing your nails carefully? She did the best job she could and she can't be any more careful than that, as for the chipped nail well are you sure its chipped? She said it was the sparkle on the nail polish but if it is chipped you can bring it back and i can fix it for you, but she did her best. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I don't know how much MORE careful we can be doing your nails." My friend replied with "Its okay, well i just wanted to let you know that, but this will be my first and last time here, thank you." I just thought oh my goodness, when you get your nails done you want the person doing your nails to listen to exactly what you want, i mean you're paying good money for this! and to have the manager say that to a customer really showed that they did not value my friend one bit. Even to tell us Beauty is within the eye of the beholder??? THAT WAS JUST HILARIOUS. Yes it is within the eye of the beholder but we pay good money to have our nails done and for them to look nice, not pay good money to have them look like a child did it then tell everyone "hey i know they look bad but, beauty is within the eye of the beholder guys." After hearing them through speaker phone talk to my friend like that, it definitely shows they don't value their customer's thoughts and complaints, which they should if they want to improve their customer service and business. Paid $19 for a "spa pedi". I think it only took her about 20 mins . I'm not used to paying that low for a pedi but I just really wanted a color change. They came out okay. I just wished she would of put a little more effort when she gave me a massage. I would of given her the $5 tip she wanted . The only rude part about this experience was when I asked her to break a $20 into some change . She handed me back a ten and two five dollar bills . Like already telling me she wanted the $5 .
