Man toast s good af. We are from Texas so I forgot to leave my tastebuds there but once I put those aside I could really taste the freshness of the catfish. My lady had the breakfast sandwich on toast and It was amazing. I probably should've got that also. But the star of the show are pancake balls! Pillowy and airy with great taste. I was so excited to come eat breakfast here I skipped the Uber and I just walked all the way from the Treme area. It looked so good in the pictures i absolutely had to have it. And it surely did NOT disappoint. The service , the feel/ambiance of the place that's bustling early in the morning, and the food made me fall in love with this restaurant. As soon as a i walked through the door it was nothing but attention and making sure I would enjoy my time as much as possible. My entire plate was delicious. There was nothing that wasn't finished by the time I was gone. The grits and the eggs were very cheesy and cooked to perfection . The biscuit,sausage - gravy was magical. Wow what a find! We were staying at a place walkable to Jazzfest, and this place popped up for breakfast on the way. It's a destination trip in its own right! Everything is fabulous, from the expertly seasoned crispy juicy chicken and waffles to the savory crepes, omelets, biscuit sandwiches, you can't go wrong. Almost everything is house made, including the caramel and jam. Thank the freaking foodie spirits for being on my side because I used Yelp Waitlist from the comfort of my bed and avoided waiting outside for almost 80 minutes. Our table was packed with: -a veggie savory crepe -a prosciutto and brie crepe (you can add an egg to any crepe for $1) -aebelskivers (think fluffy, fluffy pancakes) -blueberry sweet crepes -order of fried chicken -bacon -and a few rounds of coffee and bloody mary's Few Notes about the above dishes listed: Their savory crepes are awesome and the table thoroughly enjoyed them. You need to order those fluffy pancakes and have them as a starter. We went with the lemon curd dipping sauce and the table drooled over it (not literally). The blueberry crepes featured a homemade whipped cream and it was so good. The crepe was jam packed with fresh blueberries and looked like a stuffed pita sandwich. Grab the chicken. It's crispy and packed with flavor. My sister doesn't like chicken and she had a whole piece to herself. THAT'S SAYING SOMETHING. I ate all the bacon myself and it was the right amount of crunch and super, super thick. Bloody Mary's were delish but I'm more of a mimosa lad myself when it comes to brunch. The Aebleskivers are like pancakes. Not like beignets. Don't expect beignets like I did. Their grits are good. The omelets are nice and large with fluffy eggs. Waffles were a bit doughy to me, but not bad. Their burgers are a low point on their menu. The meat is weird. I'm not sure why but it's so crumbly and only vaguely resembles what I recognize as ground meat. Anywho, it doesn't taste bad. Just looks weird. Their fries are heaven! And you get a load of them. Every time I go to toast I'm never disappointed by the atmosphere and menu. The wait was a bit longer than I'd hoped it would be after we had sat down. The abelskivers are a must order item, with different options for dips. My favorite are the chocolate and syrup, although my friend tried the lemon mixed with chocolate and it was surprisingly a great pairing! This time we ordered a crepe, and maybe they were a bit busy, as the prosciutto and Brie crepe was a bit cold when it came out. The cheese was a bit overpowering as well. The salmon toast was great, loved the smoked salmon flavor paired with capers, egg and cream cheese. I wouldn't say that I come from out-of-town just to eat here but I do make a point of eating here whenever I am in town! Attentive waitstaff but above all excellent food. Simple recipes, but quality ingredients make all the difference. I've had the crepes, which were outstanding, and on my last visit I had the a simple piece of toast with cream cheese, salmon, scrambled eggs, and capers. Let me tell you, I am still dreaming of that simple but delicious breakfast! Also terrific cocktails if you're in the mood for an eye-opener, but the juice and coffee are excellent, as well. This is a really cute brunch spot. It's not big so be sure get on the waitlist beforehand. We ended up getting a spot at the bar before our table was ready, but they gave us the option first to take it because we were next on the list. The bartenders were really busy, but they were nice and tried to check on us when they could. I had the crab cakes and my date had the catfish. This has always been one of my favorite brunch spots in New Orleans. I used to live near the Uptown location, which is more tucked away off any main roads. However, both are really popular now and tend to get pretty busy on weekends. The food is amazing, though the menu is a bit limited. They have a good amount of variety of options for brunch, but as a vegetarian I pretty much always get the same thing. Where else can you get delicious abelskivers (pancake balls) in the city?? As far as crepes go, I don't know many places that do those either! Overall, t's affordable and the service is usually really great. I would definitely recommend giving it a try! read more

For starters, I'm obsessed with restaurants that allow you to join the waitlist before you arrive; it relieves you from the 45min waits and ultimately enhances your experience. I waited briefly at the bar and saw every meal that was being prepared and brought out, and let's just say I knew I was in for a treat! We tried the Pancake Balls with Nutella and Jam for an appetizer and just WOW! The pancakes were so light and fluffy and just what we needed while we waited for our entrees (if you're not starving or by yourself, the appetizer might make you full).
