Bought a 2008 Chevy Malibu from here and it was the worst life decision. 1 week later rear door automatic lock is not working. At the time of purchase I heard an off noise in the cabin but I though it was normal because of the adjustable foot pedal I even mentioned the noise to the salesman. Of course he's like yeah that's why, I take it to someone and it's a cracked exhaust manifold and more problems seem to be coming up. Don't trust these people. read more

Purchased a 2010 Tahoe from here in late 2009. Felt like i was getting gypped from the get go but was moderately satisfied with the deal I got. Once warm weather hit we had a HORRIBLE smell in our AC, took it in 4-5 times for this and it was NEVER resolved. Majorly annoying. So then a year after we get it the car won't start all of a sudden, get a tow truck then all is well and they don't even TRY to investigate the problem. A new car should NOT be doing this. Then it happens again where the entire electrical modules quit. Cost $1200 to get this fixed on a 2.5 year old car. we were just out of warranty by some 40 miles, I kid not. Most dealerships would eat this and help out, not Tom Bell. Then the electrical was going out AGAIN after a month after we drop a ton of moolah into it. we said to heck with it. Traded it in for a Nissan. Buy a car here if you want a lemon. read more

My mom and step-dad bought there 2015 Silverado here and they've been taking in back whenever it needs worked on. They took it in earlier for early bird spot and the following day they hadn't looked at it till the end of the day. Then the next day later in the day they called and said something was wrong. They weren't sure and said it would take several days to get parts and then several more days for the work which would be fine except they were all wishy washy about it all. They couldn't give them a time or date of when they could get it done.so they went and picked it up to take it else where. As they went to pick it up they gave my mom a hard time especially Annette Book. Not friendly or professional at all!! The only nice and quick ones were the two cashiers. I wouldn't recommend going to this dealer as they are not very helpful. read more

Worst customer service ive ever experienced. What a joke. Showed up for my 1030am appointment. Stood in the driveway for at least 10 min before anyone would help me. Was supposed to receive a phone call a few hours after dropping my car off to get a status update. No call. Came back at the end of the day (about 4pm) and they had not started on my brakes and said it was going to have to wait till the next day but didnt bother to call me before the end of the day to let me know they werent getting to it that day. Waited for at least 30 min for my paperwork so I could pay for the oil change that they did do. Cashier barely acknowledged me and seemed pissed off and annoyed to even have to deal with a customer. I took my 2005 Yukon in for transmission problems a few years ago. My car was under an extended warranty and the work was covered. Dee helped me through a difficult process and without her, the ordeal would have been much worse. She worked hand in hand with the warranty company and got it handled. Unfortunately, my transmission has gone out again. This time it is under a different type of warranty through the company who provided the 1st transmission (Dahlmer) 3 years ago. Once again, Dee has been wonderful in helping the process proceed. Dee has kept me in the loop every step of the way. I have never had any other dealer with such great customer service. Ask for Dee when you bring your car in for service. She's WONDERFUL!! read more

Horrible experience, I bought a car there and was extremely happy, financial manager tried to sell me an extended warranty and I declined going over my contract they some how adjusted the price and slip a $2300 dollar warranty and a $800 Key replacement fee, when I contacted them they were no longer helpful and no one seemed to have the right answer. After complaining with them for about 3 months calling them five times a week they finally credit me back with the financial company but I don"t recommend anybody to shop there stay away from there. read more

I don't have a fantastic score and I had told them I didn't. They said they could get a deal regardless, I have no bk or repos, but I said okay let's try. After 4 hours of sitting in a tiny office one of the sales managers (PETER) lied to me about my credit score and report. If you didn't want to make a deal with me why lie about my credit report? Make sure you guys know what's on your report and your score he told me my score was 45 points lower then what it actually was. I took my 2005 Chevy in for some maintenance work and to identify some parts I needed to order. I was hoping to do most of the work I could do by myself, but when I pulled up to have my car inspected I was treated rather rudely by one of their service consultants, Delicia Shoaff. It seemed that all she cared about was getting my money and didn't show any interest in helping me at all. She treated me like I was just wasting her time. I think Tom Bell should consider a major overhaul of their service department if my experience is at all representative. A thinly veiled attempt to either rip off my son's deaf girlfriend or shock her wit b a repair bill so large they could try and sell her a new car. Shameful. Tom Bell Service beware!!! I could list at least a dozen or more reasons, but will just share the last 2 encounters: 1. Appointment for oil change on my Silverado * ( appointment) Spent 2 and half hours waiting for an oil change. The kicker was that technician stated I needed a new air filter * ( just changed the week before no way in hell it was checked) made service advisor aware. The excuse was well he must have just gauged by mileage. LMFAO It was stated it had been inspected. 2. This is what pissed me off to the point of this review. My wife who has been battling stage 4 cancer for the past 2 years and was not able to drive her vehicle for over a year. She began driving again 6 months ago. Her air conditioning went out and she scheduled an appointment for this morning. It is very difficult for her to be up early but she was and went to her appointment: She arrives to be told that they can't book any more work!!!! , but leave your vehicle for a few days if you want. Where was the call this morning if you over booked your department!!!! Making an appointment there is worthless as it shows what they think of a customers time. I'm actually glad this happened as I'm sure there would have been issues such as we need to charge your muffler bearings and so on. read more

Stopped by with my husband to look at a used Chevy Cruze. A young salesman by the name of Luis Ramirez greeted us. He was polite, knowledgeable, and accommodating - the ideal salesperson. When he brought us inside to discuss price, we were introduced to a an arrogant, condescending "sales manager" whose name I do not remember. While discussing price, this man blatantly lied to us three times and gave us a lecture on how car dealerships market their cars as though we were uneducated children (we are two post-graduate professionals). He kept asking what he would have to do to get us to leave with the car then and there; however, when we told him we were in no hurry, he VERY rudely stated, "I'm not in a hurry either. I sell plenty of cars." Due to his rude and offensive tactics, we stated a low offer and he came in $500 above that. When we said we would keep the car in mind, but wanted to shop around some more- he walked out of the room without saying a word. Poor Luis was sent back in to explain why they couldn't come down in price and was just as kind as he had been from the beginning. I feel bad for Luis- this "sales manager" lost him a sale. We were fully prepared to pay the asking price for the car in question before being lied to and treated with such disrespect. Update- On 6/16 we purchased a brand-new 2018 Chevy Cruze from Gerald Waters at Mark Christopher Chevrolet in Ontario. The professionalism and quality of customer service at this dealership made us even more astute of the poor quality service we received at Tom Bell Chevrolet. My husband and went to buy a 2 Chevy Blazers this morning about 11am... A man kinda older with stuff on his lips N had a hat on came to help us; NOT!!!! I knew we wanted the new Blazer (s) so I asked him can I see inside!?... His response No! First tell me what you what and then I'll let you look inside! WTF!!!!! Clearly I'm not gonna purchase a new vehicle without looking on the inside and a test drive but my husband and I wanted to see different options.... The look of leather or plain ... The size on the inside, does it have enough room, the options... Now I dont know if its cuz he was a little overweight and didnt wanna huff n puff across the street and come back.... I believe its because we were a interracial couple. Unfortunately he told us No! So we Changed our mind about purchasing our new vehicle (s) there... He was very rude NOT professional at all... The rude man also replied with its okay you dont have to buy from here...he didnt care... he was right i definitely wasn't gonna purchase from him after being told NO! This place is horrible!!! They lack communication. We had called and were suppose to talk to a jorge, we get there then we got introduced to Alicia, we went to see a used vehicle. We like it, but then the vehicle had a squeak, after we let her know she "spoke" to the mechanic and they said that it was just dressing on the belt. When we went for the credit check it was suppose to be myself and s/o but when they ran our credit they said it would be better by myself due to my credit and the payment would be closer to what we wanted. When we went to the finance the payment was way off of what she said it would be. But whatever we took the deal. Alicia never told the finance that the vehicle had a noise. They called us back that Monday to take it in to fix it. I took it in on Wednesday, my appt was with 1 person then when I got there it's his day off and took 20 mins to get me to someone. When they tried to fix it, it wasn't the belt that was squeaking it was something else that they needed to look into. We got the vehicle on a Saturday and took it in on Wednesday. They told us they had to keep it and they would call us on Friday. Friday the called. They told us they had to keep it longer because no one had gotten to it and due to the long weekend they would call us no later then Wednesday. They never called. I went in on Thursday and no one knew anything. On Friday they called us and the engine is blown. So because they sold it as is they can't fix it!!! So I had to get my money back. And it's been almost a month and they still haven't fixed the loan with the finance company. read more

I usually have good service when coming to Tom Bell but this last experience was very disappointing. We purchased a car on a Friday with a promise that it would be ready by Saturday evening- we agreed to pick up Sunday morning to allow ample time to have the car properly detailed. Come sunday, the car still wasn't ready nor was it even STARTED ( although we were told Saturday that it was currently in the process of being detailed ). We were given a rental but it didnt excuse the fact that we were being lied to. The car was ready for pick up Monday but it was clear the detailing was rushed. Also, we had to remind the salesman that we were promised a full tank of gas because before we drove off the car we realized it was on E. Not a fun experience at all. read more

Don't believe the mechanics and Management who assign work, had a problem with the breaks in the Equinox, freeze up. Towed it to them they said it was fixed. Breaks froze up again, towed it back , they forgot to put break fluid, and said the battery being dead was the problem. Got a new battery and they charged me $300. and said it was fixed. Towed it back and they said i should trade it in. Stupid me I did, but they took $1200. of service fees before I traded it. They had every mechanic looking at the problem and could not figure it out. Deadly dangerous to have breaks freeze up on freeway.. the get red hot and catch fire. The fireman had to come and put out the fire. F rating. read more

I recently purchased a 2011 Nissan Armada from this dealership. They played the usual games, good cop, bad cop (bad cop is the female "closer" who tries to intimidate you after numbers are crunched and act like nothing that you're requesting can be done, then chases you out the door when you say OK, thank you but no thank you). I returned to purchase a few days later based on text convos with "good cop," salesman Jon, guaranteeing the cost, rate, and monthly previously discussed, as well as the new lower cost shown online. When I got there, the "bad cop" informed me, smirkily, that Jon was mistaken, and they could no longer honor the terms agreed upon at my previous visit, so costs were higher. Gee sorry but it's an old truck. Nothing we can do. So I left. Good cop chased me apologizing profusely saying they would figure it out and get all the costs back to what was previously discussed. I knew it was a game but needed the truck so I went back in and wound up purchasing. That was about 2-3 weeks ago. Last week, the 1st cold day, the heater shot out cold air. We tried a few things and nothing worked. We called repeatedly, were transferred around, told I bought it "as is" with no warranty. We were promised a call back that never came. Even good cop Jon never returned our calls or texts. We wound up getting a temp fix for it ourselves, but overall a negative experience, and once the deal is done, no concern whatsoever for your new purchase. hello i went into tom bell today 5/21/20 drop off my truck for recall problem with appointment with daniel burrus at 8;22am have had reprogramming done about a week ago . drove a week later and felt brake pedal get really hard almost not stopping that is why i came back to have fixed around 1:00 called to get update nothing was told to me called again at 2:30pm spoke to daniel said will call right back 3:15pm still no call back finally called again and got daniel back on phone now at this point i just went in to see what was going on had truck all day and said not going to due repair even asked why no call back dainiel said tech was out to lunch at this point i am frustrated i know what i felt it is my daily driver and also was sent information on vacuum pump loss on this year from recall center .well very unprofessional experience today and feel unsafe driving my truck now especially after seeing recall letters a manger came outside did not seem to care much but he did say we make money on those repairs kinda seemed like it was a joke at this point i just asked for my truck back and just wanted to get out of that dealership at least i have proof i went in for recall if something happens from John Peraza you guys definitely do not put safety first for your customers read more
