Food was ok, ordered the Vhile Verde breakfast enchiladas, my food arrived cold, the cheese in the enchiladas was not melted and the chile Verde was more like a sauce, didn't have enough meat in it and the meat that was in it was minimal and stringy. The eggs were warm when I got tye 0late so they possibly put my food on the plate while waiting for the eggs to be done since the eggs were the only warm item, not even the beans were warm. Wife and I stopped by for lunch. Courteous staff and a quaint feel. She ordered a hamburger and I had a cup of the chili with avocado and sour cream. The burger was terrible. She asked for medium rare. It came out well done. The patty was the worst looking patty I have ever seen. Side salad was straight from bagged lettuce with 3 cucumber slices and 2 sliced beets. Ugh. I trusted Yelp to help me find a breakfast place in Paso because the one I always frequented closed down I kept getting mixed reviews and decided to give this place a try. Located on the corner extremely close to all the hustle and bustle downtown Paso has to offer. Large restaurant with plenty of parking in the area. Visited on a week day so it was not busy, our party was greeted and seated immediately. All of the food tasted great and fresh. Omelet was stuffed with all of the fixings and the fresh baked biscuits and gravy was excellent. Coffee was good and everything else on the menu was a hit with my 2+ old. First things first my wife and I found this place kinda by accident. Walking into this restaurant kinda made me feel at home by the way it looks on the outside. The food and service is always great and the food is really tasty. I've come here multiple times and the quality is still the same. Stole some of my moms bacon to add texture to each bite and threw on a bit of black pepper. The hollandaise may have been the most underwhelming aspect drowning the already mushy cakes. Serving sizes are generous and the apple sauce was probably the best part of my meal. Granted this is only based on the 2 meals we had, I'd say your average breakfast stop. read more

This is a cute little place with great service and food. I went there on Sunday lunch time and there was no wait. It's located on a quiet residential street, not the Main Street. They had Spanish breakfast which was very appealing to me but I ended up getting a teriyaki chicken wrap. I think I've written a review for these folks before, but we had a new experience yesterday that I wanted to share. We arrived at the breakfast/lunch crossover time and ordered breakfast. It took a little longer than usual for our food to be cooked/served. As a result, our server gave us a cinnamon roll! The last restaurant review I left was for Cowgirl Cafe in Paso Robles. Yesterday was just another reason to stay with Touch of Paso. Our last meal at Cowgirl was during their breakfast time, it took nearly an hour for our food to be served, and it was over$60. Touch of Paso will serve you in much more timely manner, and compensate when they take too long, even by their standards. Well done! read more

Visited some friends in the area and they brought us here for brunch. I ordered the classic - some waffles with bacon and eggs while my daughter had the berry crepe. I liked how my waffles are lightly sweet, crisp on the outside and still soft and fluffy inside. The eggs were cooked to my liking although I found the bacon a bit too salty. I liked my daughter's food more than mine. Each bite of her crepe had a good amount of berries mixed with cream. Service was good, they were regularly asking if we need refills for coffee and juice. Would like try other offerings in their menu next time we come back. read more

Two stars would be for the Service today. Food gets the 5. We were sat relatively quickly which was a good sign. Me being a coffee person was excited to get my coffee order in right away. The hostess took our drink orders right away and then .... Nothing. We sat watching drinks brought to every table sat after us. Where's my coffee? Where's my wife's drink, we thought while completely ignored. I suppose this is what it's like to be a ghost. You see everything around you and no one sees you. The waitress finally made an appearance after what seemed like eternity and said" I'll be right with you". Then she disappeared again. I guess I was more upset when she went to one of the couples that were sat after us to get their order... while we still waited for that coffee, the nectar of the gods was being withheld from me. Why? Did I not say good morning as we were seated? Even better, the lady giving her order, the one who was sat 3 times behind us had the nerve to say with a Karen style giggle " oh, I haven't even looked at the menu yet". Seriously, the waitress just waited for her to glance at the menu then ask a lot of stupid questions. Like for real? It's an omelet... eggs and hash browns with toast. What could you possibly not know. Eventually our breakfast arrived and it was amazing. We're local and this is my favorite breakfast spot in Paso. I'm guessing the waitress was having an off day, I'll give her a pass for now, but damn if I don't get grouchy before I have my morning cup of Joe. Eat here if you're visiting, they usually kill it in the hospitality field. You won't get a better breakfast in Paso! read more

Today, This's my first time eating at this place for lunch. l was very unhappy. l order a French dip sandwich come with choices of soup or salad. I picked the salad the Italian dressing was great. But the sandwich was very dry over cook meat so tuff and chewy l can't able to share with my 98 year old Aunt. It's the worst meals over prices. I even ask the server what kinds of beef for the French dip that they use she told me tri-tip. I told her it's so tuff & chewy l can not even able bite into it. She didn't offer me another one. Touch of Paso for Sunday breakfast was worth trying during our weekend visit. It's located two short blocks from the historic town square in an old house converted into a restaurant. It's cozy and has the worn feel of a small town mom-&-pop cafe that isn't pretentious or trying to be hip or modern ('cuz it's not). Plus: free parking in lot, semi-outdoor porch seating (for the COVID sensitive), and large menu of breakfast items with clear descriptions, prices are on par with what you'd expect to pay ($12-$20), friendly staff, large portions. Negatives: little ambiance and some parts of the cafe could get some TLC touch ups. But no other issues during our nice visit. We ordered the country omelet with polish sausage, mushrooms, hash browns and a side of steel cut oatmeal. Everything was very good. They seem to specialize in home made pies and we were too full to try a slice or take one home. That will have to wait for a future visit. read more

We stopped in to fuel up before a full day of wine tasting in Paso Robles.. Touch of Paso Ambiance & Service: This home that was converted to a restaurant definitely give you a personal mom & pop vibe. We sat in the enclosed patio to the side of the house. It was equipped with it's on air conditioning to keep us cool on a hot morning. Our server was on point. She nailed all our orders and kept all the water, soft drinks and coffees fresh. We never had to wave her down. Very good service.. Touch of Paso Breakfast cuisine: All the breakfast dishes this crew ordered were tasty but their omelettes are their strongest plates. Creative, tasty and sized well. I enjoy spicier dishes so I went with the Victor omelette and chili meat sauce paired well with the peppers, jack cheese and avocado. This was flavorful spicy, but not overwhelmingly spicy. I sampled other omelettes outside my own. The seafood omelette was overflowing with shrimp. The chili verde omelette was the best one in my opinion. The fried chicken was a perfect crispy and the strawberry crepes were fantastic. Not too sweet and strawberry lovely. Overall the Touch of Paso is a solid breakfast choice in the Paso Robles area. We called in a reservation for our party of 13 and they took care of us pretty well. After reading some mixed reviews, my wife and I decided to try this restaurant. Unfortunately, they kind of let us down a little bit because my wife asked for her eggs lightly scrambled and asked for only a small amount of spinach in her scramble. It came with lots of spinach and the eggs were overcooked. My sandwich, the club, was very good and the french fries were great too. I would probably try this place again, but be more cautious about what we order and perhaps pay attention to other people's reviews. read more

A great breakfast pick! We came here on a Sunday morning and were seated immediately. The waitress suggested the Carnitas Tostadas as a good choice and it did not disappoint. A very good flavor mix of the carnitas, eggs, black beans, cheese and crema. The only downside was sawing through the crispy fried tortilla on the bottom for a bite-sized portion; they should find something that would make that process easier. DH had the waffle,egg and bacon combo and said it was very good. The menu has the perfect mix of something for everyone including Traditional, Mexican style, Omelettes, Benedicts, pancakes and lighter fare like fruit & yogurt bowls and Avo toast. The service was excellent; friendly, very attentive and they came around often with coffee refills. The coffee was good. Ugh this review breaks my heart, but between the lack of masks over the mouth for the cook and 1/3 egg shell left in an omelette I cannot recommend this place. We just picked up our orders to go and had great service and good conversation, great restaurant setup for outdoor eating on benches with heat lamps. I got a little frustrated seeing a black cloth mask wrapped under the cook's chin talking away with another back there as a sign of a lack of care, but also this is small town. Then my daughter starts going into her omelette and finds 1/3 of the egg shell just left in tact baked into it. It really concerns me they will not take health seriously based on our experience. So sad as this seems like a great little community shop complete with pies. :( read more

Great little gem for breakfast or lunch. Our family comes up here 3-4 times a year for wine tasting and golfing. We visit Touch of Paso at least once every trip, sometimes 2-3 times. All the food is delicious and well prepared, we've never been disappointed. The chilaquiles are awesome, cowboy omelette and avocado toast are also favorites.
