An interesting ambiance here...bike shop, meets small tap room, meets a small restaurant...Yup roll all three into one and you get Trail House. Came by with the wifey last Sat afternoon for a beer. I have been really watching my booze intake, so when I am going to treat myself I want a dank beerr I can chew, Trail house didn't let me down! They had Pliny on tap which would have worked just fine...but as the red sea parted and the promised land came into view....I saw they had a double IPA from a Nev brewery I had never tried. I can't remember the name but it was all that and a tic tac! There are sofas to chill on inside or you can site at either of their two bars...and a small patio area outside...outside was to loud, as they are right off Yulupa, muncho traffic. They do offer food, on a limited menu and there are beers you can buy and take with you. I liked the vibe here, I will be back. read more

What a cool place! Coffee, beer and cycling all under one roof. We stopped here for coffee after dinner at Russian Brewing company. The coffee was strong, flavorful and just right. We bought some coffee beans to take home. We tried the espresso beans "Godspeed". Staff and baristas were very helpful and friendly. They have great merchandise too! Will definitely come back to this place. Stop by, you'll love it. Only feedback to management- didn't understand why you can't pay for merchandise and food/beverage under one transaction. This is more about the bike shop, I had ridden my bike over for walk through Howarth Park. Well as you have it I had over filled my tires and so while on my social distance walk my front tire popped! They were very helpful and fixed the bike right away. I didn't get the gentleman's name but he has a full sleeve tattoo, tight body, blue eyes...and made sure both my tires where in working order before sending me off! The price was affordable and efficient. Thanks Trail House for getting me hydrated, repaired and back outside to enjoy the day. I'll be back for visit and maybe a beer! read more

Went there after riding Annadel. Beer selection is very good. My friend got the hotdog and I got the mozzarella sticks and breakfast burrito. Mozzarella sticks were solid and tasty. Breakfast burrito was excellent and huge. But if you order guacamole it's on the side and no inside the burrito. Food comes out slow but beers fast. Sat outside in the sun in January so zero complaints. But watch out for your kids because outside seating under the tent is basically a road and almost saw some kids get hit by cars. read more

PERFECT place to chill and refuel after a ride. I've been here more than a few times since the shop opened but this last time was definitely the most memorable. I made the Trail House a destination after my first mountain bike ride with my daughter(9) and Son (6) I'll admit that they were not totally into the ride at first, but with the thoughts of a monster PB&J and hotdog at the end of the ride, it was a pretty good motivator. Anyway I started having brake problems on the trail. The guys at the shop took a quick 10 minutes and fixed my brake problem, While I was having lunch with my kids. It was awesome! Trail House has simple food needs like grilled ham and cheese, hot dog, pretzel with mustard, and a rice bean burrito. It's simple and delicious. Now let's get into the tap handles. Top of the list is Pliney the elder. Everything after that is top choice beers as well. And if you're looking for a clean Pabst blue Ribbon, they have that too. I live A few blocks away so this is my first choice for bike repairs and tap room. All the folks at the counter are super friendly and helped me corral my kids when needed. . The bathrooms are super clean and not only that there is a shower room if you need that after a good hard ride. Frankly... I love this place. read more

Good evening catching up with a former colleague over beers and a light dinner. I really liked the space that has been converted into sort of a living room/picnic spot in front with a nice vibe. Comfy couches and long tables with decent chairs and two big TVs that they will gladly tune to a game for you. Bar in the center with a nice selection of local and NorCal beers on tap ($6-$7), some light snacks, burritos, salads and brats as well as breakfast items. And a shop in back with a staff ready to fix up the pedal powered devices. Nice friendly barkeeps. I enjoyed the beer selection and only one notch off for the brat. We love coming here to get our bicycles worked on while we enjoy a nice beer before a ride. The bike repair guys have always been super awesome and informative. Even though we don't have the highest end bikes, they never make us feel bad. The food here is also really good. Some items you might want to split with someone, like the chicken caeser wrap. It's huge! They keep a great selection of local beers on tap and for on the go. Everyone here is just amazing! Crystal is the best! read more

There's space to hang your bike inside, and clean, unisex bathrooms. Food doesn't fly out of the kitchen very quickly, but the beer flows more rapidly to ease the wait. read more

User beware: I brought my mountain bike in which has a bent crankshaft. The first thing out of this guys mouth was "You might as well buy a beer bike. This could cost up to $2,000". He didn't look up the part for me. He even asked his coworker for a second opinion. And he agreed. I then took my bike to Trek who told me it would be no more than $150 to replace. This place vehemently opposed the dispensary which is right behind them. We were going to a 420 comedy show at the dispensary and decided to stop in for a brewski before the show. The guys working there were such tools (except the dude working on bikes in the back with the dog).I think they're still bitter about the dispensary so now they're just rude to anybody they think is a customer of the dispensary. They announced last call and picked up the the nasty dirty carpets and rang them out literally right next to us inside the place, along with another couple. Total passive aggressive weed haters here. The dispensary called Cannadel was awesome and the people there were so nice, maybe the dorks working Trailhouse can get some inspiration from the nice and polite weed people or maybe they just need some weed in their lives. If your a cannabis person please don't give these fools your hard earned money they don't deserve it. Everything is to go and by phone... So I had to go in to order and I tried the Imperial Blueberry Cider (their only cider) while I was waiting for my food... worse cider ever!! Couldn't even drink it. Let them know and they didn't care. Didn't offer to replace it or even apologize for not warning me that it tastes nothing like a cider. She acknowledged it didn't taste anything like a cider due to the extra fermentation but didn't offer to replace it with a $4 beer. Mozzarella sticks half cooked come frozen in bag as it seems most of their "food" does. You know what they are good at? Making sure I never return. All good this place was always confused anyways. Trailhouse is one of the most nastiest places I've ever eaten ;the go to spot in the Bay Area for microwavable food and the chips were hard and the sandwich was cold same with the mozzarella sticks everything microwavable. I would never come here again in my life even if you dragged me by chains all the food was soft to the touch so I could imagine it's been overheated in the microwave. I really like all the events this place puts on, but they really need to update their sound system. I've been to the comedy nights and trivia, it's a lot of fun but can be kinda hard to understand. Not sure if they need new speakers or what, but the mic isn't very clear in the dining room, where most of their seating is. If you sit close to the host, you can hear best, but if you're in a corner or at a table further away it can get frustrating. The food and beer selection is great! The staff is nice. It can get busy, but it's worth the wait. Just wish I can hear the events better. read more

I love this place! I have been going here for about four years. Always had good food, coffee, beer and friendly service. The reason for the four stars and not five, is because there is a new woman who works behind the counter (who appears to be a supervisor) that is rude to the customers and her coworkers. I'm not a cyclist, but this place is a go to for coffee, eats, beer, gear, meetings, or working. They have a great selection of beers, snacks, and the breakfast burrito is delicious! Took our friends who were visiting here for breakfast with our babies and it was great. Guys grabbed a couple of beers and the game was playing in the background. They also have warehouse sales every now and then. What's really awesome is our friend wanted to buy the Trail House glass as a souvenir, but they wouldn't get a shipment until the end of week, so he gave her used one for free! Now that's service! The rice was undercooked and slightly crunchy and the chicken was rubbery as it was clearly cooked in a microwave. Gross! I'm not a picky eater but I could not finish it. Cool concept, amazing location, great beer, good bikes... But be prepared to mercilessly empty your bank account to rent a bike with no sympathy from staff. Some staff will quietly murmur they agree that the pricing is out of control, and will try to help you out. $75 for a 2 hour ride on a hard tail? (Mandatory 24 hour rental, even if they know you won't be able to come back the next day). $5 for a bottle of water ? $5 for a stale pretzel ? I am fortunate to currently make enough to afford this but still feel alienated and taken advantage of. Sadly I wouldn't recommend friends to go here, nor will I be coming back. read more

A TALE OF TWO SANTA ROSA RESTAURANTS, PART 1 I was soooooo disappointed in the Trail House. It was my birthday. I had a pretty decent day at work, and, after work, I rode my bike trainer for about an hour to get in some cardio. After that, I thought, "I've had Trail House bookmarked for a while. I am heading over for some dinner." The location is convenient for me and the design is cool. Very modern. I walked in and there were some people having a good time at the bar. All the seats were taken. I walked up to a person working there and asked if they served food - this being my first time here and all. She said they do serve food and asked if I wanted a menu. I said yes, and asked if I could sit wherever I could find a spot. She said that would be fine. I sat down and looked at the menu. Really? You call this a menu? PB&J, hot dogs, one sandwich, a couple sausage choices, pretzel, toasted almonds, and that's about it. Well, I didn't really want to have to go out and find something else, so I decided to go ahead and get a couple hot dogs and a beer, maybe a pretzel too. So, I waited, and I waited, and I waited. The server was over to the side appearing to fold table cloths or napkins, the bartender was chatting it up with people at the bar, and I was sitting there with no food, no water, no beer. Maybe I am not the target audience here. Perhaps I don't fit the cool vibe. Ironically, I was probably the only person who actually rode a bike that day. I am not sure what other yelpers see in this place, but I probably will not be back. And I will certainly take this place off my bookmark list. read more

The venue is pretty cool - bike shop meets bar. However, the service was inexcusably bad. We ordered spiced nuts and we're told they would take 10 minutes because they are made to order. Awesome! After 15 minutes, we ask if they'll be ready soon, and they apologize because they forgot our order. I see two girls start to make them, but then one leaves to socialize with one of the other servers, and the other girl starts to wash dishes. Another 15 minutes goes by and we ask them again - they forgot again! And they forgot that this was the second time they've forgotten.... Perhaps they were too focused on talking about their life's dramas to care about serving customers. We got our money back, but that didn't really help since we were starving. We found some smoked almonds in the car and had some of those on our way to dinner... They have a good beer selection, so we may come back, but with very low expectations. read more
