On August 7, 2018, my family and I stopped at the Chick-fil-a Truett's grill (#07007) in McDonough to feed my family before traveling to North Georgia that afternoon. When we drove through the drive thru, we approach the employee kneeling outside awaiting customers. Prior to the greeting, my wife and I noticed his irritable state in his demeanor. We previously thought it was due to the heat. He then asked for my name of the order and stated my name, "Rodney", paid for my meal and drove to the window to receive my receipt. However when I read my receipt, I noticed my receipt stated my name was "Gay". I became instantly offended to be judge that way. As I moved to the last window to receive my food, I asked the employees to read my name on the receipt and compare that to my name on my licenses. Once they noticed the name, some snickered and the other tried to justify the receipt, rather than provide a simple apology. This is offensive, embarrassing, and that type of judgement is what is happening everyday in America. I didn't even feed my family the food fearing it may have been tampered with. The way I was subjected to a specific category and the disrespect that follows, especially because Chick-fil-a corporate has openly supports anti-LGBTQ communities, along with reformative camps for reforming homosexuality. After 24 hours of having this dwell on my mind, I cannot sit aside and brush it off. This decision came after my receipt circulated on social media and the manager, whom I have not spoken to, said he can see where the misinterpretation happened. I love the food here and the service is always with a smile. This place gets PACKED but don't let that scare you away - they know how to handle it. I don't really understand why they have the kids on the outside working group the drive thru. If they were taking the orders sooner, I might be a me to understand it, but they stand right at the intercom so it's not like u are getting u order in quicker. Seems like more of a liability to me than anything to have them out there. One more thing and this is the biggest gripe..... Why do they jam everything into one bag?!? Just split the order into 2 bags! This way I get home with all of my food because it didn't tip over and spill and it doesn't get cold when I can secure the bag at the top. Why so stingy???? Just don't fill the bag to the rim. read more

Customer service was BEYOND terrible. First of all I went through the drive through where they gave me the wrong salad and then didn't even put the dressing in the bag. So I get out to go inside go to the counter where there are NO customers at all. So im still trying to figure out why I had to wait about five minutes before someone acknowledged me which is hilarious since at least five people were walking back and forth not to mention what looked to be a manager standing there talking to a guy. Finally she asks if I've been helped. No lady I'm just standing here with this scowl on my face for pure entertainment. Truetts AKA Chick-fil-a has really gone down hill as of lately. Service, food, cleanliness. Employees just standing around talking, playing, waited 10 min for server to even come to the table after asking who our server was. One server spent the whole time we were there talking to her boyfriend who was setting at a big table by himself not eating and you could tell her customers were getting mad. Visited this location with our family of 4 on 3/8/19 after driving from Ohio in route to Sanibel, Florida for Spring Break. We went through the drive through and didn't find the experience to be that of a typical Chick-fil-a visit. Our 17 year old daughter has worked for Chick-fil-A for almost 4 years so we generally know the menu and service well. However this visit was confusing as it had additional menu items that we wanted to try. The team member who came to our car to take our order was very quiet, did not engage and had no menus for us to look at as we were 5 cars back from the menu board. We asked about mac and cheese and he didn't offer size choices or prices. After him not being very helpful we just decided to get mac and cheese and sweet tea and move on. We saw several other employees in the line doing outside expediting and they seemed pre-occupied and not super friendly. The mac and cheese was tasty and the sweet tea was typical. Not the best Chick-fil-A experience so hopefully if this location is new, the kinks are still being worked out and service will improve significantly. read more

Best chicken, best service, and the best all you can eat Saturday breakfast in town for under $10. My pleasure! It takes a long time to be seated on Saturdays for the buffet and it's the only day that the buffet is offered. We received excellent quality food today and the service rocked! Very accommodating of Clarence's diet and brought additional broccoli and cabbage for his salad. My hot brown was delicious- my favorite comfort food. Bailey, our server, was phenomenal and exemplified the kind of service we receive at 5 star restaurants like Bones. This Chick-fil-A has excellent customer service (not surprising) and their food is always great-tasting and accurate. I enjoy eating on the dine-in side more, though, because you risk not having a seat in the tiny self-serve side. It's a HUGE hub for hungry people just about any time of the day and week because it's right off of I-75 and at a very busy exit with a ton of other restaurants and stores. Therefore, it's busy all the time. If you're in a hurry, it may not be the best stop. I'm still giving it 5 stars, though, due to excellent customer service and great food. read more

I went here for dinner tonight in hopes of purchasing a tasteful meal only to receive what seemed to be mushy fries that have been sat out for a while and a sandwich that was not appetizing at all (not to mention the half piece of lettuce). This is just 10 minutes north of the Tanger Outlet Mall in McDonough. I loved the 50's style diner with old timey Tin Lizzie cars, shiny aluminum walls, train on tracks around the ceiling, and wonderful service. The food is as good as Chic fil a always is but the menu also has platter options including a steak, burger, with a salad as well as yummy southern sides. I tried the Hot Brown which was chicken nuggets smothered in a white gravy with cheese and bacon on top with toast. It was a heavy dish but very tasty. I found out first time visitors get a free dessert so I tried the fried peach pie. My husband got the sweet potato pie and they both were great. Our waiter was very attentive and informative about the menu. Too bad they are closed on Sunday :( read more
