When my doctor told me to eat Vegan for a month, I thought my life was over. A Wisconsin girl not eating cheese? Impossible! But I discovered Tryst Cafe today, and there are no many Vegan offerings, I had a hard time deciding. The Vegan summer rolls were delicious and plentiful. Went here for Mother's Day because we have been several times. Our previous experiences were great but after what we had happen today - we will not be returning. It took over an hour and a half for us to receive our food and even then the food was not very good. We made a reservation and asked to be moved because our seats were in the direct sun. We were told they could not move us because they had a reservation for that table. Over the 2 hours we were there nobody was sat at that table. Not once did the manager come apologize for the time it took to get our food but was attending to a table of women to ensure they had their drinks. Ordered Tryst benedict could have used a little more capicola, loved the Anaheim pepper hollandaise and sweet potato tots $14. My wife got the avacado toast and added on an egg and bacon. Very well prepared, but with the added egg and bacon the cost was $17. The meal was very good but definitely not something I would consider doing on a weekly basis due to the cost. read more

My one year old son insisted on taking my mother-in-law and I out for a Galentine's day brunch. I had wanted to try Tryst Café for a while now. I had heard nothing but good things. My mother-in-law had been a few times and suggested that we go. We made reservations ahead of time and consequently, due to my son's nap schedule had to change it. They answered and told us "no worries at all, it wasn't very busy at the time so come whenever we're ready." That was nice so that we didn't have to rush. Parking was plentiful outside in the lot. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a very kind host who walked us to our table and brought us over a high chair immediately. They asked if we were OK with digital menus and we said "absolutely." My mother-in-law had ordered the chicken salad the last time she was there and said it was delicious. I was between that and the salmon. I was so happy to see that they offered wild caught salmon, so many places don't. I decided to order the salmon and she ordered the salad. We also got a fruit bowl for my son. We ordered the hummus trio for an appetizer. It had original, cilantro, and beet hummus. Served with cucumbers and pita bread. I also ordered the vegan, bulletproof coffee. The coffee came out right away. I loved the way it was served. I love frothy coffee. It was definitely healthy tasting. Raw, unsweetened almond butter took on the taste, but it was a nice beverage that definitely zipped me up. Not too much, though. The hummus was delicious. Definitely the beet hummus for the win. The salmon was delicious, as well as my mother-in-law let me try some of her salad which was also yummy. A+ for presentation all the way around. If I was to say one thing, I thought the sauce on the salmon was a bit heavy, which I was surprised by given the healthy take on the menu and restaurant theme. The environment was nice, they have a fun bar area. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating. We decided to sit inside because of the baby. The service was outstanding. We never waited for anything. Everybody was so sweet and so accommodating to our son. I would love to go back there again and take my husband. I would also love to try their breakfast.
