This place is located downstairs of the Hewing Hotel. I never get bread by choice when I go to restaurants, but the one then I had here was so good. Everything else that I had was alright, but nothing too special. Service was fine. The drink was a bit unique which I appreciated, but nothing stood out to me. The place does become a nice spot to grab a drink at night.

Top notch atmosphere inside the Hewing Hotel. Service was awesome and approachable, but the food left a bit to be desired. Nothing was bad by any means - from the oysters to the steak, but it just all felt a little average. The one standout was the beignet dessert which packed a lot of flavor and is a definite must for anyone going!

The Hewing hotel is a great place to grab drinks, but I wish we would have stayed at the bar for a cocktail and apps. This was the only restaurant in north loop that didn't have a wait and my group was in a bit of a rush, so we decided to give it a try. We were transparent that we were in a rush and ordered several options for the table to share, but our food took came out one at a time with significant with significant delays between each dish. Our server was amazing - he provided opinions, was very kind, and checked in frequently. The food itself was good, but the only one I would come back for was the bison steak frites & dinner rolls.

Tullibee is such a cool vibe! Great for a date, work meeting or happy hour. Scandinavian restaurant with a farm to table philosophy. Attached to Hewing hotel. Food and cocktails have always been good. Today, we ordered the duck fries with ketchup and dill aioli. They were tasty and the dill aioli was really good! The martini was more lemony so I would order it with olive juice. The Moscow mule was good! A little on the spendy side! To look at all of the food menus- https://hewinghotel.com/tullibee/ The bar, lounge, and rooftop are available on a first-come, first-served basis otherwise reservations are recommended. Parking- paid metered street parking

This place is a hidden gem. I've been for dinner and brunch and it's been growing on me. Love the service even when it's a bit busy for dinner. The bread box was a hit. Loved the kale salad. They have valet through the hotel or there's also street parking. I can imagine it gets a bit busier at night but still a good spot.

We actually went here for their thanksgiving special that already came with meal set. The food tasted really good, it was a perfect well-balanced meal for thanksgiving. It was a bit crowded because of the holiday, but the service was great and the ambience was pretty cozy. I can't speak for their other typical foods in the menu yet but wanted to leave a review because the thanksgiving meal was very worthwhile!

Fantastic experience start to finish! Great atmosphere, great service, great food. Couldn't have asked for anything more. We opted for the "Leave it to the Chef" and gave the instructions that we didn't want oysters, herring or scallops, and that my husband is allergic to gluten and dairy. But other than that it was all a surprise to us when the dishes came out. And wow- it was such a great decision. We ended up getting a lot of custom plates with some things not on the menu and, best of all, we could be confident that they were thoughtfully prepared for my husband's allergies while still being delicious ... it was like we had a private chef for the evening! So fun. We had so many things it would be impossible to name them all but there were all flavorful and well prepared. Our favorite was probably the crispy Brussels sprouts and dry aged steak. The Salmon, broccolini, acorn squash, and roast lamb were also amazing. And I think they made us chocolate sorbet on the spot so that we could have dessert??! Next level service. Our drinks were tasty as well - both the NA mule and Minnesota spiced mule were great. Our server Juanita (I think) was extremely knowledgeable and friendly, which enhanced the experience. Our water glasses were always full. The other staff at the restaurant/hotel were also friendly and attentive for coat check, bathroom directions etc. We arrived on the early side - 5pm reservation. Which was nice to have the place and our server more or less to ourselves. Felt almost like a celebrity tonight. One of my favorite dinners of all time.

The first time I went here and the second time were night and day differences. We came here last year for my sisters birthday and had an amazing server who brought a drink and dessert over for my sister and the food was so delicious we decided to come back this year. We were a little early so we sat at the bar and waited for our table. When our reservation time finally came around we went to go get sat for our table and our host said she would mention our special occasion to the waitress. Then our waitress comes over and we place our order for an appetizer and our two entrees- the appetizer comes out promptly. 25 minutes go by and our drinks are empty and our waitress is out of sight. What I assume was the manager on site comes by and notices our drinks are empty and refills them- I had to flag down our waitress because the champagne they poured my sister was flat. Another 25 minutes go by and we still haven't gotten our entrees... they finally arrive and both of our bison steaks were overcooked. At this point we are just ready to leave- from start to finish we spent an hour and half there and $150. Very disappointing from our last experience.

FINALLY got to check out the inside of the lovely @hewinghotel & it's beautiful little restaurant & bar @tullibeemn the hewing has been on my wish list for awhile and I've never had the chance to stay, so a lunch trip to come & dine with coworkers was a second best option the service and seating was top notch with tons of natural light and a cozy midwestern feel and elegance. the hotels lobby was already decked out with all of holiday aesthetics and finishing touches and it was a beautiful sight lunch menu was delish, especially the lil clucker and a delicious aioli. duck fat fries are a must for your table & you can bet I'll be ordering the sweet corn fritters for my next visit. highly impressed with their lunch and hoping that we'll be able to return for dinner and weekend staycation

Such a cute brunch spot! Great location, great service and wow the food was so good. Can't remember the name of the pastry we tried, but it was delicious! Would definitely come back.

Minneapolis is truly a foodie city. I was a little apprehensive about try Scandinavian cuisine but this ended up being one of my favorite spots. It was my first time having bison. So tasty and savory. The duck fat fries were fully of flavor and paired nicely with the dill aioli. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive. Perfect spot for a little date night or celebration.

Went to try Tullibee for dinner and had a great experience. Server was nice and gave helpful recommendations. Tried a few "small plates" and "to share" items from the menu as well as a burger to share with my partner. Was fun to try many different things on the menu and would recommend!

I would recommend sticking with the regular fries and ordering a side of ranch as a dipping sauce instead! This is the only place that I'm aware of where you can get a vegan juicy lucy! Upon entering we were greeted by a woman who was clearly wearing multiple hats as she seemed rushed, a bit off putting and quite frankly distracted. It was Juneteenth the middle of the afternoon and there were maybe 6 people at the bar and one other table besides ours with 2 diners. The person seating us was also our server and the bartender. Menu is small but the items we ordered were all fabulous! Every single one! The collard green dip with cornbread pita chips was absolutely delicious - Think spinach artichoke dip but soul food! The salmon croquettes with lemon herb aioli and arugula salad that accompanied were fresh and light! The catfish sandwich with fries was hot, crispy and well seasoned with fresh lettuce and tomato on a perfectly tender brioche bun. I want to return so bad for the food but it was clear this host, server, bartender and partial cook was pulled in too many directions and that severely compromised our service and gave us stand off energy as first time patrons. I looked it up and she is actually one of the owners. She came across as irritated especially once we didn't order any alcoholic drinks first and then very short and curt following. What took the cake was her telling us she was leaving for the day and needed to close our tab while we were eating. Didn't ask did we want to order anything else and there was another server taking her place and an empty restaurant! My partner had to put his sandwich down wipe his hands pull out his wallet while she stood there impatiently. Then proceeded to linger around hugging her regular bar patrons. It was clear this is a "regulars" spot and if you're not one you're rolling the dice on the service you may or may not get. We were patient and didn't complain because it was Juneteenth and our intention to support black restaurants all weekend. I have many previous years in the industry as a cook, host and GM and I was stunned to know that she was one of the owners when I looked it up. Had planned to return for live music but unfortunately the off putting energy and unwelcoming vibe may have squashed that possibility. I hope they improve service because the food is delicious and deserves attention from a larger and more sophisticated audience.

I honestly feel like the burgers have gone way WAY downhill. The fries here have gotten terrible so I stopped getting the fries a long time ago. They are not soft crisp like they used to be.
