Tutta Bella is a Pizza and Italian restaurant with several locations around Puget Sound. I have gone in person a few times long in the past, especially to the sadly closed-for-now (or forever?) Crossroads location. However, this review is about several recent deliveries. I have to say that I have recently fallen in love with this pizza. My wife likes Pagliacci, but I don't love it, so I am always on the lookout for something new. Tutta Bella isn't new, but for some reason I tried it recently for delivery and I love it. The menu is good but not huge. There is a small range of salads, appetizers and pasta, plus a wide range of pizza. That wide range provides plenty of choice, but some things are fixed - there is just one crust. Thankfully the crust is amazing, and really what makes this pizza stand out for me. It is thin and bendy in the middle, deliciously doughy at the edge, and blackened in places on the bottom. Great! The range of toppings is not quite as large as I would prefer, but still good enough for many great options. As an aside, I have had pizza in Naples, and this Neapolitan is not super authentic, but also there is a lot of diversity in pizza in Italy too. The range of appetizers is limited, but I do like the bruschetta. Frankly, the pizza is so good that I prefer to just eat that. My wife doesn't love this pizza nearly as much as I do, but she thinks the pizza and pasta is good. We haven't tried the salads or desserts. Delivery works well, though it seems that they are using doordash for delivery which means it is a little less prompt than other pizza places a similar distance away. There was one incident where the delivery went wrong, and they did a great job of resolving the issue and apologising appropriately. Strongly recommended. Great pizza. read more

The lunch lasted so long because we didn't have a set waiter and we kept having to ask for service. It seemed that no one wanted to be working there. If you're the type to not make reservations ahead of time and are here on a weekend, look no further. This spot sits in the heart of Amazon's work campuses so it's not as busy on the weekend. And they have fresh, locally made gelato...can't get any better than that! Our entire meal was tasty, from the rosemary lemonade to the beet and mista salads to the meatballs to the spicy Leonardo pizza. Our order had a slight mix-up with another table's and one item was missing key ingredients listed on the menu, but they fixed it promptly. You can park in the garage and they will validate your ticket, so free parking! Woohoo! We ordered: - 2 x10 inch pizzas I got one with prosciutto on it, and she had a vegetarian olive oil one. My pizza was tasty but the middle of the pizza was soggy. Maybe they should've cooked it longer or there was too much toppings on it? Also, we both finished our pizzas, so portion size is not big. Looking for an outdoor seating restaurant on a Summer afternoon while across the country in Seattle and couldn't have bumped into a better place. Quality ingredients, great brick oven pizza, nice in city locale. Had their Tutta Bella pizza, a special salad featuring fresh peaches, and brushetta. Between two of us we ate every delicious morsel. Came here for lunch with a few coworkers. They each got a pizza and I got a salad. I got the napoli salad, it was pretty large! It was definitely one of the better salads I have ever had. The chicken was so nice and crispy. I am used to chicken in salad being just boiled or grilled, not very flavorful. But the chicken in this salad had a nice crust on it. The contents in the salad were also very satisfying. The cheese and ham were my favorite. I also got a lemoncoco on the side, this was alright. I am not sure what I was expecting, but it was an interesting flavor. It tasted like a thicker coconut water to me, I was not a fan. Anyway, the salad was delicious. If I'm splitting hairs, this is actually a 3.5 star review......but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. To be fair, the food and environment here was great. The restaurants sits on a second floor and windows peers out toward the space needed and other downtown buildings. The wait staff was friendly as well. We came here with a work group that was fairly large (20-30 people or so) The staff explained that they would bring various dishes out and when we wanted more to ask for that particular dish and they would bring out more. I say "dish" because, while the few were pizzas of all different varieties, there were also some other dishes as well. There was a meatball tray that was pretty darn awesome. The pizzas were tasty and somewhat uniques (which is difficult to do with pizza nowadays); Drinks were served as ordered. The only issue I have with the experience is that the service was slow - it was clear that they were not equipped to handle the large group despite having advance reservation of the large group so they could ensure there was space and food. The service definitely brought out new dishes when asked, but it often took a bit of time to come around. IT was probably a combination of not enough people to serve and not enough cooking capacity (I'm speculating here) ....Whatever the reason, there came a point where it was clear we would be there quite a while.......likely consuming more alcohol than food, I'm positive a smaller group experience would have been different and it appeared there were many folks enjoying there meal there (it was tasty for sure) .....I believe it would be worth the visit for a meal - just be cautious if you are reserving for a large group. read more

The pizza and service here was not the best I have ever had, but wasnt the worst either. I went for lunch one day. I had the meatball pizza with Ricotta cheese. It tastes great, but was messy and wound up not settling well with me either. The service was ok. The individual that was our server took a very long time to get our drinks and to get the check correct. It was somewhat embarrassing. The vibe was very casual and very hip. I really liked the vibe. Please be aware it is noisy in here so if you want to have a more private conversation, avoid going here as you will have to speak up or seem like your yelling at times. The pizza here is *chef's kiss*! We got the Roberto because I was intrigued by the pistachio puree, and I was impressed! I have never seen pistachio on a pizza before, and while the flavor was mild, it added a great nutty undertone. We were also able to add mushrooms for free! Going to Tutta Bella's in Westlake was an experience that was different compared to Columbia City. Overall the place was spacious with an attentive wait staff and a relaxed atmosphere. I had the Roberto pizza and it was very nice, the buffalo cheese adds a little smokey flavor which was very refreshing on the palate. Of course I splurged and got the Tutta Bella Amber Ale (handcrafted by them). The gelato which I got the orange flavor, adds a nice citrus flavor, and tastes just like creamsicle! The espresso being strong adds a nice bitter taste which limits the sweetness of the gelato. Lastly with the view of the Space Needle right outside the window, this place is truly remarkable in presentation and overall aesthetics; both food and atmosphere wise. I asked for a specific table and they said they couldn't sit us there because we had a small party, after I asked if the two tables could be separated so it would be a small table for 3 they said they couldn't because it was reserved, all of the sudden. Decided to give it a second try and order pasta, they came back and said they were all out. Alright, went ahead and ordered a lasagna, came back and said they were all out. I am not a pizza fan but a few days ago without any options nearby without a huge wait-list my team and I decided to stop by for lunch. The server was pleasant and sweet but took a while to bring stuff around. We also got two desserts , a tiramisu and a Nutella calzone. A great spot for Italian pizzas and pastas, Tutta Bella keeps some things traditional and changes some things up with some fun experimental dishes. The cheese in the buffala starter was nice and creamy and spread easily on the fresh crostini. The pizza with the pistachio was fantastic, like a cross between peanut butter and pesto with actual cashews on the pizza. Fun play on the pizza. I tried some of the traditional pizzas and they were also very fresh with quality cheese. Overall really liked this place and will be back before long. read more

I've had great experiences at all of the Tutta Bella locations I've been to (including this one), and my experiences here have shown that their employees are willing to go above and beyond on a variety of different occasions, in a variety of different ways. Plus, the food is great! At the Yelp progressive dinner, they were willing and HAPPY TO make my boyfriend a vegan pizza. At a fellow Yelper's crashiversary dinner, they were mortified when they realized she was in a wheelchair and immediately offered to carry her up the stairs to the table that they had set aside for the group. (The rest of the restaurant was crowded, so there were no other tables available.) They have great pizza, wonderful happy hour (food AND drink!) specials, and good cocktails. The only thing missing? Gluten-free crust. I hope they start offering it soon because my boyfriend can't go back to Tutta Bella with me until they do. read more

While the happy hour at Serious Pie is well known, I feel that the one at fellow pizzeria, Tutta Bella does not get its rightful props. I visited the Westlake location of Tutta Bella. For those unfamiliar where it is located, it is right above Whole Foods and next to Seastar. Walk up the stairs or take the escalator to get to it. I was surprised to see there were several shops up there too. The restaurant is quite roomy. There is even an outdoor patio area that is great for when the weather is warm. Happy hour occurs two times a day. From 3-6 pm and 9pm to close, so that is quite a big window to enjoy the specials on that menu. Though I am unclear whether you can sit anywhere and take advantage of the happy hour. Some places limit happy hour to the bar which is where I decided to sit. Not an issue as there is a TV at the bar and you have a direct view of the Space Needle. The happy hour is reasonably priced with menu items ranging in price from $3-7. The best deal in my opinion are their pizzettes. It is a very generous portion for the price that is sure to fill you up. A pizzette along with a drink is bound to satisfy. Tried three items. Sauté di vongole ($7 HH), a Mediterranea pizzette ($6 HH) and L'Alba cocktail ($6 HH). Sauté di vongole is basically Manila clams in tomato sauce. The clams are sourced from Taylor Shellfish Farms. I thought this was just okay. Clams are a little on the small side and the flavor was just okay. Though I think the sauce would be great for dipping with the pizzette. The L'Alba cocktail is vodka with blood orange liqueur and cranberry juice. It was refreshing and goes down smoothly. It does seem to capture the essence of what I expect in an Italian cocktail. Though the star attraction of the happy hour is the pizza. The Mediterranea has freshly made mozzarella, marinated eggplant and roasted peppers. The mozzarella and eggplant does set themselves out from the rest of the ingredients. The mozzarella has a ricotta cheese like texture that I quite enjoyed. I have to say the pizza quality here is comparable to Serious Pie. If you are unable to make it to Serious Pie during the short happy hour window they have, Tutta Bella is a worthy alternative. I would actually prefer Tutta Bella because the ambiance is much nicer than the loft attic feel at the Westlake Serious Pie down the street. Here you will find a nice view of South Lake Union and Space Needle to enjoy with the great food. read more
