Service isn't what it used to be ... We've been going to TT since it opened and it quickly became one of our favorites. Unfortunately, last night's experience didn't leave me wanting to go back anytime soon. The food continues to shine. However, the service is not what it used to be. Our server came across like a used car salesman, constantly referring to my husband as 'Boss' and telling us we had entered the 'FUN ZONE'. This place is not Chuck E. Cheese, it's a steakhouse where I was about to drop several hundred dollars! This server needs to read his customers better and tone down the incredibly informal and even disrespectful vibe he is giving off. My husband ordered a drink, while I selected a bottle of wine for our party of 3. My husband had more than half finished his drink when the sommelier finally arrived. This was not the sommelier that we've come to know and greatly appreciate over the years at TT. Despite there being 3 wine glasses on the table, the sommelier began to walk away after filling just 2. She returned after hearing me asking my mother if she still wanted wine. She did apologize and was quite polite. The general service last night was just not what we've grown to love about TT. We refilled our own glasses the remainder of the meal because no one returned to do so. Our Twisted Shrimp arrived promptly. Oysters took some time and arrived with one fork for 3 people. I make this point because good servers pay attention to these details. Table clearing was random. We had to ask for some things to be removed, yet they tried taking our bread away and taking the oyster tray with two oysters left. We've been accustomed to servers at TT (or any restaurant at this price point) taking our utensils following first courses and bringing fresh for our entrees. When they didn't do this, my husband asked that they take his utensils and bring fresh ones. They took his without asking about the rest of our party and left the others behind. As we waited on entrees, no one brought new utensils nor did anyone check on our table so we could even ask. We ended up taking utensils from the table beside us because they dropped off our food and walked away so quickly, we couldn't get their attention. Our steaks were cooked to perfection, as TT can always be counted on for. Desserts also did not disappoint. When they brought our bill, my husband looked at me and commented that there were no mints. The mints that always arrive with the bill at TT are yet another thing that we've grown to love over the years. I had noticed them at some tables while we dined and not others. A final point that speaks to either a lack of training or staff that simply isn't the quality that is used to be. When you are spending hundreds of dollars on a meal, you expect a commensurate level of food quality and service. TT still gets a 5 from me on food. Service was more of 2. read more

Delicious! Amazing! Worth every single penny! I went to the Food Fight event and tried their food for the first time and fell in love, so my friend and I went to try the place out. House salad dressing* [I hope you guys start selling them in bottles, so I can take it home with me]... I think I ate this dressing with everything. Their salad, their bread, and probably just by itself. Red and White sauce! Just mix those two with some feta cheese and it's absolutely perfect. Salad is given to you in generous amounts with an ice cold plate so your salad will stay cool and fresh. If you do order the Caesar salad, they do smother a lot of dressing so ask for the dressing on the side if you're not into that. I'm usually not into too much dressing, but I was this day. :) Great wine selections for drinkers. Bar area is very clean and fancy. I ordered the Prime rib with battered Lobster tail. Comes with your choice of side... I got their onion potatoes. Prime rib perfectly cooked just how I like it. Every bite was heavenly and the taste was right on point. Not too salty and not too bland. My boyfriend and I finally decided to try Twisted Tree for a date night! Everything was amazing and I couldn't believe how busy they were at 8:00 on a Thursday night. However the service was great and all of the food came out pretty quickly! Our server Janis was amazing and very helpful when it came to picking a bottle of wine and recommending appetizers. We got the twisted shrimp and the pear tree crab Rangoon which were both amazing. For entrees I got the lobster pasta and he got the Wade's cut (20oz) ribeye with a batter dipped lobster tail, which were both delicious! Mine came with the family style house salad and it was one of the best salads I've ever had! To end the night we got a piece of wedding cake and pistachio ice cream. This place was on my "to eat" list and I can honestly say I was not disappointed. The service was impeccable. Our waiter was very kind and knowledgeable of the items on the menu. As a first time visitor, I really wanted to try everything lol but I opted for the steak and twisted shrimp. The shrimp is wrapped in bacon and has a nice spicy kick to it. My steak was cooked to perfection (medium). They give u a bottomless bowl of salad to share with the table. We ordered the Caesar salad, and I honestly could've ate the entire bowl, the dressing was great but I didn't want to get full before my entree. Redemption!! My dinner club and I hath returned! After the restaurant ever so graciously responded to the not so great experience from last time, we ventured back for a 2nd try. This time it was amazing! TT absolutely lives up to the hype and great reviews. Melissa and Brooke took great care of us from the drinks to dessert. Apps we tried: brisket ravs, onion rings, crab rangoon. ALL of them awesome! Soup: Lobster Bisque...please oh please get this. There are whole large chunks of lobster in there!! Because we were a large group, we received both family style salads, the ceasar and garden. Let me say, the pear tree vinaigrette is something that will make you eat salad everyday! Entrees we had: ribeye, strip, filet, lobster ravioli, stuffed chicken and scallops. I ordered the scallops and they were butter! Every bite of food was stupendous and we couldn't find enough positive words to describe what we were tasting. A few of us finished off the evening with the Wedding Cake dessert, fantastic! For my 400th review and to mark a special occasion, I give you the Twisted Tree! My deepest, most intimate food love is steak. Twisted Tree is a place to satisfy all your beefy cravings. We had a 5pm reservation and were seated in a cozy, roomy booth upon arrival. Waters were filled quickly and the waiter came over to take drink orders and explain what Twisted Tree is all about. I had a glass of cabernet and we started with their onion rings. The onion rings came with their housemade sauce, however, the breading was flavorful enough that the sauce was sort of unnecessary. Their garden salad is served family style with servings of croutons, 2 types of dressing (french and sweet onion vinegarette), and some cheese. You can tell the garden salad is made fresh and definitely not your pre-cut variety. I enjoyed the sweet onion vinegarette dressing quite so. Now for my main course, I opted for the smallest cut of their aged ribeye which was a 16oz for $41. Very reasonable for a steak currently at 205 days in the aging process. Very tender and very flavorful, succulent and melt in your mouth steak deliciousness. The filet mignon (63 days) was also very tender and flavorful. I got to try a piece and I highly approve. For my side, I ordered their vegetable of the day which was a corn and green bean casserole. It was very tasty and well-prepared. Dessert was a little bit difficult but once he said the wedding cake to be almond cake, I was all in. It was your traditional 3-tier wedding cake with a scoop of their homemade vanilla ice cream. Definitely more serving than 2 people already full of steak can ever consume but we did make a dent. The cake was delicious and not super sweet. The icing was a bit much so I ate around it. Overall, we had a lovely dinning experience and will definitely be back for a non-special occasion in the near future. We had a fantastic meal and fantastic service! Loved the family style salad! My wife had the strip and I had the prime rib and fried lobster tail. We had the turtle cheesecake for desert. So much food and so good! Our server was Mayson H... She was a delight! So pleasant and helpful and efficient. She made the entire experience better! We came here to celebrate our anniversary. This was our second visit, we came here for the first time for our anniversary last year. The food was delicious. The prime rib was amazing and the Cesar salad was as good as I remembered last time. My husband enjoyed his filet mignon as well. The place has a nice ambiance. It is always packed and there's always people waiting for a table. The only part that left us disappointed was the service. Our server did her job - she took our orders and refilled our drinks. She said "happy anniversary" (since I noted it when I made the reservation) and "cheers" when she dropped off our wine, but that was it. She was not personable, barely smiled/not much eye contact, no small talk... she did not tell us the specials of the night which we overheard a different server offer to a table next to us. The server assistants were the same - did not say much, no smile/eye contact. The server assistant was about to take my salad plate away and I asked him if we could get a little more salad - he said "yes" and put my plate back but almost seemed a little annoyed. At the end of the night our sever did offer us a complimentary wedding cake but the way she offered it almost made it sound like she was rushing us out. We still left a good tip (maybe she/they were just having a bad night) but we were disappointed with the level of service - it was something we'd expect from a Chili's or Applebee's, not a high end restaurant. This was a stark contrast compared to our experience last year, when our server was very friendly (almost too friendly). Making reservation was easy through OpenTable. when we got there the hostess seated us right way, and they were quite busy for a thursday night dinner. I recommend making reservation here ahead of time. our waitress greeted us saying happy birthday - she had some excellent suggestions on wine and steak. They had daily specials but we wanted steak that evening so decided to get a filet and prime rib. Each steak came with a side of a choice and also came with salad that was complimentary. Now their salad, was excellent. house made dressings were amazing, our waitress suggested that we mix the two dressings and yes she was right! we left this place with little bit of leftovers, since we couldn't finish the sides and some of our steak. If red meat and heavy fatty food is your thing this is your place. I ordered the sea bass looking for a light flavorful dish. Fish in the Midwest is always a gamble but I took a chance since this is what I would consider a better than average restaurant. Well it was really fishy, which is a red flag when it comes to fresh. For dessert we ordered 2 of the daily specials; chocolate fudge cake with vanilla ice cream and the lemon vanilla creme brulee. My husband and I went to Twisted Tree for our pre Valentine's Day Dinner, we went the Saturday before Valentines Day. The restaurant was easy to find and in a good location. There is Ballet Parking so that was good for us because the parking lot was full. We did have reservations so there wasn't much of a wait. We arrived about 20 minutes before our reservation time and decided to go around to the Bar area and enjoy a couple of cocktails before dinner. Once our reservation time arrived we were buzzed and escorted to our table. Although the restaurant was very crowded it didn't interfere with us being seated at our reserved time. The menu was explained to us extensively. We ordered and the food came out promptly. It was visually appetizing, it was hot, cooked to perfection and it was G-O-O-D. I was under the impression that the restaurant was more upscale then it actually was so I felt overdressed but it is just right. No one wants to get elegantly dressed up every time they go out to eat. This place was just perfect. We really enjoyed out evening and was impressed with the speediness of service, the attention to detail given by our waiter, the presentation of the food, the actual good taste of the meal and a place that offers a restaurant with a nice comfortable ambience. We made a reservation for 7:30, but when we arrived at 7:25 they didn't have any tables available and we ended up having to either sit at the bar or wait for around 15 min (we opted to wait). After getting seated we had excellent service. First, our meals both came with complimentary salad (either house or caesar) served family style. The house salad came undressed, but with two different dressings, croutons, and goat cheese on the side. We ordered one of each salad so that we could try both. Both salads were phenomenal. There was a ton of salad, but they took away the salad before they brought our main courses. I would have preferred if they had left it so that we could munch on it throughout our meal. I suppose we should have asked though... We were also served bread with warm butter along with the salad. The bread came in a bag (which was weird). There were only 4 pieces of bread, but we were told we could ask for more if we wanted it. We decided to split a small steak and a chicken dish stuffed with pork belly. The chicken was phenomenal. It was ok. Nice atmosphere for sure. The steak (12 ounce filet)was delicious, after I sent it back for a little more heat. It came medium rare instead of medium. I ordered the Brussel sprouts, after asking if they are cooked well so they are soft. They weren't. They were barely grilled and very crunchy, which made them tough to chew. My appetizer was the shrimp cocktail, great taste but only 4 shrimp. I have to say they were big ones though. ( that's what she said...) I would go back for sure. All of the steaks are done well. I had the opportunity to eat here and it was a great decision. Parking was no hassle and plenty of spaces. We started with the twisted shrimp. Prawns wrapped in bacon served with two dipping sauces, Blue cheese and Buffalo sauce. Wow what a star! I had the cheeseburger and added bacon with onion rings. The onion rings came with a delicious sauce. My mom had the Black and Bleu burger. She loved it! My mom also had a passion fruit margarita, she said it hit the spot.
