first time texmex in tx! FOOD: -steak fajitas: meat was tender, sides were delicious -tacos: seasoned and yummy -enchiladas: flavorful and juicy! -SIDES: YUUUM Service: -not really sure, there were so many lit areas to sit more towards the middle of the space, but they sat us in a darker corner. and came by really often while asking if we're done yet and to take our plate when it wasn't crowded/busy. I don't know what that was about... we definitely weren't the usual demographic but i'm hoping that wasn't it but just in case others have experienced that too OVERALL: -wouldn't be back because the service was off even when we tried to respond kindly that we're still working on things.

I had such a wonderful experience at this amazing Tex-mex restaurant in the heart of downtown!i stumbled in after attending some events in the city, and in typical Texas fashion, it was blazing hot outside! I figured I would wait out some of the city traffic before calling an Uber home, and stop in for some lunch and a margarita! Now, I ended up ordering their larger size, strawberry marg and OMG! It was so good, and definately strong lol! I only had to order one bc it was definitely a good time! I also ended up ordering their shrimp cocktail as my meal. The portion size was fairly small, however, it is listed as an app and not an entree, so it is as expected. Because I was there solo, I sat at the bar, and the bartender was so lovely and made great conversation! She was also very attentive, and I felt very safe as a independent woman in the city! Overall, it was a great experience! And If you are looking for a frozen marg in the city! I def recommend! We already can't wait to go back!

We decided to try a local spot, who doesn't like margaritas and Mexican food. Plus they are dog friendly on the patio. The patio had a wonderful view, and nice breezy alley with shade from the Texas sun. Plus we were able to bring our 4 legged son. Who was well behaved under the table. The wait staff is super nice worried about our baby needing water. We had the enchiladas suizas and the fajitas. Everything was delicious, the margarita was as big as I expected it and I loved it hehe. We didn't have space for desert but our four legged son did and he enjoy it to the max. Ty to the amazing team at uno mas so caring for our son as we would. Can't wait to be back.

Great Mexican restaurant in the heart of downtown. It is a fun place to sit with both indoor and outdoor dining, because there are tons of people walking by near the eyeball park. Our server was super friendly and greeted us right away. The chips and salsa are a 10/10. This salsa has a decent kick, and I could drink it plain. We ordered margaritas and they arrived quickly. My wife got the frozen with sangria (strawberry) and it was delicious. My Ocho (version of skinny) was also top-notch. For food, we decided to try both the fajitas and the enchiladas. We were not disappointed. The fajitas were a combo of beef and shrimp, and both were very tender. They come with the typical sides. The enchiladas were some of the best I have had in a long time. Clearly hand rolled, stuffed, flavorful, and delicious. I also got a side puffy taco, and it was awesome. We really enjoyed our dinner at Uno Mas. We will be back.

We walked in shortly before closing time and we sat at the bar. We quickly ordered the pineapple guacamole and the shrimp tacos with black beans to share as a post concert snack. I don't think I've ever seen pineapple guacamole on a menu and boy am I grateful that we ordered it. I was shocked that despite almost closing, the chips still arrived hot and when we dove into the guacamole, we couldn't stop saying wow. The toasted pepitas were the perfect crunch and light salt to the creamy guacamole with little punches of sweet pineapple. Order this guacamole. You will be so happy you did! The shrimp tacos (2) were also amazing. I couldn't figure out if they had blended mango or just more pineapple into the sauce but the sweetness to the chili was a perfect tasty flavor bomb. The rice and beans that were served with it were not sad at all and also full of flavor. I am so glad I trusted yelp to tell me a place for a post concert snack. We had a short time to enjoy, but I would do it again. Amazing bold flavors!

Came here for a wonderful meal and sat outside. Kind of a fun area for people watching with your meal. The birds around here are also a ton of fun. We decided to split a couple of entrees (quesadilla and tacos). The food was amazing and our server terrific. Fully loaded and and evenly proportioned made every bite delicious. Good portions and very reasonable prices. We were stuff by the time we left but made a vow to return for dessert because we had to try the deep fried ice cream sundae (yes, it IS that amazing and you should go just for that). Great location and food!

This place was close to our hotel and as we were walking to it I saw the cutest rooftop eatery. And it was Uno Mas! Greeted warmly, then seated immediately where we wanted. Such a great view of buildings (I love the varied architecture), the eyeball, park, etc. Chips and salsa served immediately with our drinks. We chose the Uno Fiesta bc of the variety offered: chicken enchilada, quesadilla, puffy taco, mezcal shortbread, Mexican flag, and red rice. Such great flavor, very spicy! Our server had the sweetest smile and was very competent. Fabulous choice!

Delicious food and drinks and great service. Only one ding for them is that I went to the bathroom at the end (the waitress wasn't close by) and when I returned she thought I had left without paying the bill. Excuuuuuse me?!? That was a bit irritating since I was there in Dallas for a conference and never been there. Actually sought after a place that had Tex mex. Now she said she did have an incident before me, but if she saw me and how I was, I would hope she would NOT think I would leave for a meal that was not that expensive. I was there for some time since it was a the end of my conference and before I got on my flight. Plus, I was talking to the person next to me who was a regular patron. If she was more keen, she would've known more about me and not made that assumption. The food and drinks however was good. The chips and salsa very good. Salsa great had better chips but overall really good. I had the fajitas with the chimichurri (extra cost) I would pass on that. My drink forgot which one it was but it was delicious! I would give this place a 4 but I am giving it a 3 due to her customer service or lack of at the end. That left me with a bad taste in my mouth esp. since first time in Dallas. Not the southern hospitality I was expecting. And the actual restaurant does look like a diner but that was kinda quirky ambience that was fine for me. Not the regular Tex-Mex restaurants I've been to.

I was visiting Dallas and couldn't decide between tacos or brisket. Luckily, we stumbled upon Uno Mas -- and they had the best of both worlds: a brisket taco. The restaurant was clean, the staff were friendly, and the service was fast. The brisket taco was packed with flavor and had a perfect smoky kick. The rice that came with it was so yummy--I couldn't stop eating it. If I had more time, I definitely would've tried more dishes. There's always next time!

Deisy was our waiter tonight for our table of 20 and she was AMAZING!!! She was so patient, she got all of our orders right, even made great recommendations for food. Tonight I had the Ribeye Ranchero and it was perfect!!!! She didn't get frazzled with the volume of people and all the drinks. I would definitely have our party here again. Came in for a quick bite after a night out. It wasn't packed so we got seated quickly and service was on time. I got the Baja Tacos, which were delicious. They would have been amazing had I remembered to tell them to hold the jalapeño crema. I wasn't a fan of it and to be fair, I am not a cream/sauce girl. I loved everything else about it, however. The salsa (spicy) and guacamole were very good. All in all, a good quick visit. I left satisfied and full.

A special shoutout to Kaylee, our server, who went above and beyond to make the night enjoyable. She was attentive without being overbearing, gave great recommendations, and made me feel right at home. You can really tell she cares about her guests. The food was so good! I did the shrimp tostadas and mezcal margarita! Uno Mas has such a warm, inviting vibe, and with service like this, I'll definitely be coming back!

I recently came here for the first time and my server was Nathan who was extremely polite! He was on it with the recommendations for food and drinks. I ordered the smoked salad which was amazing and a drink which was pretty strong. The only thing I wish they did was validate parking but it's fine, the service made up for that. read more

Great location! This is definitely a new fav. The beautiful patio had plenty of shade at 6pm and was not crowded at all on a Thursday evening. The frozen margarita was delicious. We hosted a private event at Uno Mas and it was FANTASTIC! I worked with their event coordinator, Jean, and she was a wonderful event partner every step of the way. I was never worried about the event from start to finish. We hosted our event in their upstairs area and it was a really great space (tall ceilings, lots of windows, big open space for 90 guests, a margarita bar, and food stations). Our servers, in addition to Jean, were Nene, LB, and Dex and every single one did an amazing job. We ended up with 90 guests (about 60 more than we thought) and the staff did an amazing job handling all the extra people. The food and drinks were also sooo good, I wish I had some extra time to just pop in for a regular dinner. You won't regret coming here for dinner or a private party read more

A large group of us visited to have drinks after a bar in the Joule across the street closed at 10pm. We were welcomed in and drinks arrived quickly! We ordered queso & guac and one of their trio guac's has pineapple in it. OMG I could not stop eating it, so good! We stayed until closing and had great conversations with staff who served us professionally. Will definitely visit again! read more

Very much racist vibes wouldn't recommend anyone I know to support this business. Was told by 'Philly' upon walking in to get seated for 2 reaponded with we don't have any availability. So we then proceed to just sit at the bar since there seemed to be open seats. We sat there 10 minutes and wasn't ever even acknowledged. Now withing that 10 minutes 2 other parites of 2, lighter skin toned of course, walked and and were seated immediately. There were 3 open table within my viewable POV 2 of which where 2 party tables and this doesnt include the upstair/outdoor seating where seating were also available. read more

We just tried this place due to Yelp because it was geographically close and had pretty good reviews. We happened to take an Uber from the hotel to this restaurant and in the process I thought I lost my phone. As you can imagine I was highly distraught and not all that worried about the food at this joint, however it managed to take my ruined evening and make me smile. Some of the best tostadas I've ever had at a restaurant, and the pineapple guacamole that I ate with them was fantastic. Who would have ever thought to put toasted pine nuts in your guacamole!? The surf and turf shrimp and steak has a wonderful spicy sauce that made the entire dish. I am only taking a star away due to the sides which were sub par. I'd definitely go back! read more

Do not go here. The waitresses complain about about tips you give when it's not enough. The waitress cacay complained about the tip I gave her even though it was 15% and preceded to say it wasn't enough loudly to the rest of her peers behind the bar. This place is not worth the attitude and atmosphere you experience. read more

Tried Uno Más based off the reviews but very disappointed. Chips and queso were mediocre. Beverages Beerrita -1/10, Diosa 6/10. Fajitas were OK the shrimp was the best part. Rice was very bland, and the charro beans were far from that, they tasted like canned beans with a bottle of Valentina. Unfortunately, will not be back. read more

This is your average mexican spot with a cute interior and exterior. The margaritas were good and the outside sitting area is nice with a great view. Uno Mas host venue of our son and daughter in laws rehearsal dinner this past month and provided an AMAZING experience! We were assured we would be well taken care of and no detail would be overlooked! That is exactly what we experienced! They provided a delicious customized menu -5 stars, A Margaritas bar and drinks -5 stars, help with all set up and my actual event picture brought to life (including pressing our wrinkled navy tablecloths brought from Chicago), flowers out, candles lit, place cards at each table, a large screen ready to use for our slide s,how, labeled food stations for all the guests. All this coordinating for a group of 60 plus guests was done with EXCELLENCE!! Thank you to Jean, their AMAZING event coordinator! I had reached out ahead of time to confirm they made mojitos since we were celebrating Valentine's Day -- which is also my birthday -- and my wife only drinks mojitos. I had so much fun the other night when I went into the Uno Mas on Main. I had only ever been to the one on Henderson and so I was really surprised by how different it was. The food was fantastic and the drinks were amazing. The cute bartender kept me company, and she entertained me while I waited for my friends. Once they arrived, we went to sit on the patio and it was so pretty looking at the city from up there. There was even a giant eye looking back at me!
