AMAZING. Every detail of this place was carefully curated and it shows. The ambiance really makes you want to stay a while and sip more wine. Everything we had was delicious but my favorites were the lasagna and the whipped ricotta with zucchini and herb oil! I didn't know I needed herb oil in my life until last night. The chef/owner was so lovely. She came by the table and greeted us which was a nice touch. We dined in a cabana at the new rooftop. The service was sooo incredibly slow and the appetizers came out before the drinks. The food was also so average and the pizza was not good and it was extremely overpriced. The pizza was also personal sized like the size as a pizza at a basketball game and it was $20. I ate at Via Triozzi a couple of weeks ago with a couple of friends. The food was pretty good. The service was fine. However when my friends were being seated prior to my arrival, they were told we only had the table for 2 hours. I arrived a few minutes late due to traffic & parking/valet issues. There was a line of cars waiting for the valet. With cars trying to go around me while I waited for the valet line, I opted for self parking, to no avail so back into the valet line I went. While we were eating a manager approached our table & said we had 15 minutes before we had to leave. No dessert, a rushed birthday celebration and a rush to the restroom then ensued. When I asked the manager why we were booted out while the table next to us who was seated before us weren't booted out, I was told this information was in the confirmation email. She said she wanted to optimize the next guest's experience. I told her that we didn't make the reservation but one of our daughter's made it, nor did we receive any email informing us of the 2 hour window. She gave no explanation for why the couple next to us was not being booted out. I have eaten at restaurants all over the world & never treated so rudely. So... just a warning here! Parking is a problem, the manager was very rude while food & service was just ok. I will never go back to Via Triozzi! There are plenty of other great Italian restaurants in Dallas with easier parking, great food & not being rushed & treated rudely by the management. I guess our dining experience wasn't important but the next guests' was. Greed is more important to Via Triozzi than customer satisfaction. read more

The food is absolutely delicious. Delicate and bold seasonings about in this very novel way to create Italian food. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful. I guess they are going to have quarterly menus just based on fresh ingredients. Teresa McMullen was our server, and she was phenomenal. Not only with her recommendations, but fantastic descriptions. I cannot wait to go back to this delicious Italian restaurant. I grew up in New York. I ate Italian food, my whole life, mostly everything drenched in marinara sauces, but this is different. Simple some of the best Italian food we've ever had. After a delicious appetizer of pulled mozzarella my Mums had spaghetti with cheese & pepper, and I had tagliatelle with amazing bolognese. The deconstructed cannoli was the perfect end to the meal. Add fantastic service from Ian & a warm welcome from Leigh, the owner, and Mums' birthday celebration couldn't have been better. Sadly, a bit underwhelming and disappointing. Beautiful space and nice location. Service was so so. Not great but not bad. We sat at the bar where service is usually highly attentive but it felt a bit scattered. Food was the most disappointing. Along the bar, there were a few jars of breadsticks for the taking. We sampled several and every one was stale or something was off at minimum. The thinner pieces had a nice crunch to them but the thicker pieces were stale / off. We started with the arancini. The outer crust was rather hard and crusty. Cooked far, far more than needed. Rather than a golden brown they were just brown. To give you an idea, we needed to cut these with a knife using some force. Given the extra crusty exterior, this made them dry. The sauce helped but not enough to counterbalance the crust. The insalata mista had good flavor but too much fennel and shallot ratio to greens. The squash ravioli was nice, but lacked that extra oomph. The sauce was either too light to begin with, not enough of it or cut with too much pasta water or all of the above. The ravioli was adorned with shaved parmesan, sage and cubed squash. This made for a nice mix of textures, however. For the entree we had swordfish. Nice lighter sauce but the swordfish was a tad fishy. The beans had good flavor. They were on the firmer side for beans but that didn't bother me. We had the cannolo for dessert. Overall, this might have been the most well executed dish. Beautiful space, nice location, average service, the food was okay but left something to be desired. Maybe if we ventured into the lasagna or the bistecca we would have experience more robust flavors but overall the food was a bit too light and bland. read more

Went here recently (guided by the many positive reviews). It's clear this restaurant is a victim of its own success. The food? Average at best. The fried dough appetizer was missing acid, and the cheese was flavorless. The uninspired ravioli was too al dente, and the lasagna was not hot. I will say that the sauce was flavorful. Tiramisu was so forgettable that we went to voodoo donuts next door to cleanse the palette. Design of the restaurant is neat. Hostess was nice, waiter was indifferent. The design and ambience of Via Triozzi is super pretty and upscale, the seating is quite compact and close together though. We had the whipped ricotta, gnocchi, and chicken. The ricotta and gnocchi were yummy. The chicken however was super plain and lacked a lot of flavor. A little steep in price for what you get as well. read more

This place will not disappoint. Ian our server was on point. We had the him pick out a nice bottle of wine and he nailed it. The food was great, we had everything from each section of the menu, the lasagna was some of the best I've had, and the new york strip was done perfectly. The owner has so nice and greeted us as we dined. Ambiance was fresh and well lit , some places make it to dark, that's just my opinion. I will put this on my place's to take my out of town guest. Very excited to get this reservation last minute - was eyeing this restaurant for awhile after hearing good things. Food was mostly delicious and service was great! The only thing I felt that night that was off was the highly praised lasagna: it was way OVER-SALTED. I only had half and brought some home for leftovers - next day I reheated it and took a bite and yes, definitely too much sodium in that lasagna. I did like that the setting was small and felt intimate. The drinks I felt were just okay. Wine was fantastic! Talk about a way to make an entrance in the Dallas Italian scene! My friends and I frequent the Italian hot spots as it is one of our go to food genres. So low and behold when my buddy mentioned via triozzi it was a given we were going to be in attendance for opening night. Ambiance - We walked in and immediately were wowed. The restaurant layout and design felt exclusive and high class but with a warm welcome. That's probably to do mostly with the wait staff and Leigh herself who visited our table on several occasions to check on us. Food Ricotta Montata - this kicked off the night so well we all began to have extremely high hopes for this place. The whipped ricotta was increíble as they say and paired so well with the zucchini. Excellent start could do with a little more bread when it comes out like one per person but still fire. Lasagne Al Forno - I'll preface by saying I'm a massive lasagna guy so naturally I had to have theirs. This...dish...was ... phenomenal. I mean there are some great lasagna dishes around town, Terilli's most notably for myself. For me the meat had great flavor, the noodles were cooked to perfection and the sauce was awesome and just had the right amount of crisp on top that people look for. Best of all while I appreciate the Texas spirit of "everything's bigger" the portion for myself was spot on and not unwieldy as some lasagna dishes can be. Drinks - I ordered the tequila cocktail they have and I don't know the name but was extremely refreshing and didn't try to kill me with tequila. That espresso martini tho.... The Damiano yoooo my guy came with the heat on this one. I like coffee so would say this is a little more coffee forward and less on the sweet side - but I mean I found it to be top notch As far as Italian goes thought it was fantastic food, great service all the way around with excellent recommendations. We tried to get reservations online but they were booked so we thought to just try and walk in. When we got there the staff was very nice and let us know they are completely booked but we can sit at the bar when it becomes available. We were able to get a seat and sat at the bar. The bartenders were all very nice! They are so knowledgeable with the food and bar menu. Damon was awesome! He knew so much about different drinks and made us amazing cocktails! The food was impeccable, we didn't live the salad as much bc it was too overdressed but they offered to remake it for us which was nice. The eggplant was delicious!!! The flavors were on point the arranchini was really good. We split everything and it was perfect! We had a great dinner here! If you can nab a spot here you will not be disappointed. We went on a Friday night and put our name on the waitlist for a table and the hostess said the bar was open seating so we stood by the bar waiting for someone to leave. The bartender came out from behind the bar to tell me "we have an order of operations here at the bar"! I didn't know what that meant and when my boyfriend came inside from parking the car I told him we are on the waitlist for a table and they said they don't know how long the wait will be but there are 3 couples ahead of us waiting for a table but the bar is open seating and full menu so he went over to the bar to get us a seat and the bartender yelled the same thing at him. We thought that was very rude and inappropriate. We decided to walk down the street to waste time while we waited for a table, 2 hours later we got a text saying there is still a 1 hour wait for our table and then 1 hour later and for the rest of the night we never received another text saying our table was ready.
