All the greatest hits, no leftovers, at a great price. There are plenty of room for lunch so you won't be waiting too long. You should be able to be in and out in an hour. The taste was overwhelmingly salty--more like salted pork than the sweet, rich flavor I was expecting from caramelized pork. To top it off, I spent over $40 something dollars for my meal and for Postmates delivery to the South Bay, which makes this disappointment even harder to swallow. I'm not sure I'd order from Be U again unless someone else is footing the bill. I really wanted to enjoy this meal, but sadly, it fell short of my expectations. If you're craving Vietnamese food, you might want to explore other options.

The meat was juicy but I was left wanting more flavour in both the meat and the buns. I also wish the bottoms were a bit crispier. I'm definitely looking forward to coming back to try their breakfast menu and other items though. Because peeking at the other tables they offerings looked delicious.

I was expecting more refined food but most of cold appetizers were just immersed in a sauce. All handrolls came with a paper thin slice of fish also soaked heavily in sauce and a tiny piece of dry eel on excessively acidic and wet chunk of rice. Korean owned Japanese fusion is trendy and not a bad concept but I prefer more friendly and vibrant ambience.

We couldn't really chat because it was so loud. The Caesar salad was probably one of the worst things we had ever eaten. It's not a typical Caesar. The greens were bitter greens. The tuna dish we got was also not good. We don't hardly touch it. The good: the oysters were so good and very fresh. The vinegar sauce they came with was so delicious. The trout dish was the highlight of we scraped the plate clean. It was so good. I would come back just for that dish alone. The dessert was really good as well. Just one of those things. By the time it got sorted, there was a little confusion on the bill. Castanza stepped in, handled it gracefully, Just clear, kind communication and it was done. That's what stood out all night. Watching her with her tables, with the other servers -- just warm, present, and easy. Transparent in a way that builds trust. She leads quietly and you feel it. The food was fantastic across the board -- the trout was amazing, the market salad fresh and delicious, and my friend's cheeseburger, fries, and Pinot Noir hit every note. But honestly? Castanza is why I'm writing this. I just want to celebrate her character -- as a human being, in the workplace. Thank you, Castanza.

They made it seem like we were walking into some bustling restaurant and was annoyed that they had to pull off a small 2 top for us. Food was unfortunately good, I'd give it a 7/10. However it took a really long time for the pasta to come out. As I was eating my meal, I was reading the other yelp comments that described the snooty service. Seems not uncommon here. Keep that in mind before spending your hard earned dollars here.

Let's start with the drink....I'm not a fan of anything rose flavored or scented so I wanted to make sure the rose flavor wasn't too strong in the Jallab. Since I was told the rose flavor is pretty prominent, it was suggested I do the Jallab with lemonade. What a perfect selection! I didn't pick up any rose flavor and the drink was so pretty. This is a refreshing alternative if you don't want to go with a soda. I already had my heart set on the appetizers and fortunately the other person was on board with the same choices. For dippers, I always go with a yogurt and cucumber appetizer and the Babaghanouj did not disappoint. These sides came with three pieces of pita bread. Neither side was overly garlicky and paired well with my entree. If you love cheese borek like I do, get you some cheese rolls. My only regret is only getting one. The cheese rolls were perfectly flavored and not overly salty. Now for the entree...I already had my eye on three meats so the waitress said to go with The Your Way Plate, which came with a kafta and tenderloin skewer. I also added a lamb skewer on the side. Both my lamb and tenderloin skewer were cooked medium and they were perfect. Lamb is one of those dishes that can be a hit or miss because if it's not cooked right, it will be chewy - mine was perfect! And, the spices they use to cook the lamb in will have you trying to pick up every last drop of juice with your pieces of meat. No complaints with the kafta either. I chose rice as my side because I love me the carbs. We went on a weekday for lunch and parking was easy enough to find on a side street. The staff was friendly and there was indoor and outdoor seating options. This place gets a yummy in my tummy rating and I will be back sooner rather than later.

But the brocolli...come on. A lot of the time it's the small things that make or break a dish that flirts with perfection, and they got this down to an art; not only is the sauce succulent (yes I will use that word because it befits any dish that makes me smack my lips like a Philistine), but the timing of steaming the broc is what takes this simple appetizer and makes it into something transcendent. Just a little bit more or less sauce and it would still be about as good. But any less or (God forbid) more steam, and this order would be sent spinning from atop its summit into the land of meh. I'd give the place 5 stars but the service tends to be just a little sour, which is brought into more of a focus in that they barely need to interact at all, given the dystopian self-serve screen you must use. You lose one star for your lack of humanity there, Mason's. But keep it up with the broc and I'll absolutely continue to let it slide.
