Update: idk why someone would say "oh no" when this is a 5 star review with full praise! Everything is amazing here! Food, People, and the extras! Fun happy environment! It's hurtful when people do that!!!

    wet sloppy mess

everything arrived from DoorDash as a wet mess. It wasn't the DoorDash's fault. It was whoever put the food together. They put all of the sauces together. It looked like soup literally everything and as I tried to make the best of it and use a fork to eat it a big blonde hair emerged. It was so disgusting and unsanitary.

Solid small Mexican joint in a strip mall. Get your tacos then shop or the other way around. Generous portions, the plates come with rice and beans and the burritos are huge. The staff are friendly and efficient. It gets busy at lunch with a mix of locals and construction crews. The quality has kept up over the years and the patio out front on warm days is the best.

    Can't wait to dig in!

Cutest restaurant! The decor was super cute. Salsa was off the hook but you had to pay extra for the chips and salsa but that was ok. I ordered the rancheras enchiladas and my friend ordered the chile relleno and enchilada. Portions were gigantic! We saw a burrito come out for another table and were amazed. Chicken was a tad dry in the enchilada but tasty. Lots of Cotija cheese which was excellent. Chile rellenos were super good and the sauce was very good. Used the leftover on the rice. The staff was nice and came by the table to ask how we were doing. This was very nice as they are set up like a taqueria where you order and pay at the counter then someone brings out the food. If I'm in Napa again I'd totally come back here. Their menu is extensive and they even have breakfast. Good spot!

The food at the Napa location never disappoints. I have tried both Vacaville and St Helena locations and once would not go back to them. They are renovating and opening up a bar- they have limited cocktails right now in the mean time so that's very exciting for locals!

I've been going to Villa Corona since I could remember, they used to be a smaller location & they had a van that would deliver bread to Calistoga always the best memory for me. My parents would take us there to eat on Sunday's the food was always authentic and delicious. Unfortunately I haven't been to this location in a long time but every time I go to Napa I try to stop by. Friday, was one of those days. Unfortunately the good was met, and to my surprise there was yellow cheese on my sopes I literally was WTF!! I've never seen that before instead of using authentic quesos I get yellow cheese what is this taco bell . Very disappointed, I'm not sure if the same family owns it but yellow cheese should NEVER be on mexican food period. My food was tasteless but my agua de Jamaica was good. Service was good but I didn't like the busses sweeping next to me while I was eating.

I love great neighborhood Mexican restaurant! It's consistently prepares their dishes with fresh ingredients and staff is efficient. We regularly order enchiladas, sopes, burritos and on weekend the menudo! Love the interior design walled with Mexican paintings and artifacts!

    Chili Verdi Burrito
    Dawna M.

This is my second review of their Chili Verdi burrito & it will be my last. So on Villa Coronas menu there is a Chili Verdi Burrito, however they should either rename it, take it off the menu OR actually put chili Verdi in the burrito. Both times i have received a tortilla filked with black beans & white rice and the verdi sauce with very little shreds of pork. I have not seen any chunks of pork or cheese( paid extra) in my burrito. The tortilla both times is gummy & slimy not appetizing at all. The service was good, I ordered through door dash, no problem there. Overall disappointing... If you choose to eat at the restaurant they have indoor/outdoor seating, you can order at the counter or at your table. Parking is ok also..

It helped that one of the workers came out with a megaphone and explained how everything works and the history behind it being the oldest building in Napa. Once we were seated, the food and drinks came out pretty quickly. The food was tasteful and portions were generous. I ordered the omelette y pan and the mimosa flight. There will be a line that looks like you are about to get on a Disneyland ride but it's not as bad as it looks. Once you order and sit down, the magic truly begins. Let's talk food real quick. So I've been here twice and I've been blown away both times. The Breakfast Sandwich is even tastier than you could imagine while being the perfect amount of food. There's something about that spicy mayo that really brings the bun and protein all together. The star is definitely the Burrito de Chorizo. This is easily the best Chorizo burrito I've ever had. If you just gave me the Burrito by itself you would have been fine. I mean the Chorizo itself isn't super greasy and I never get that feeling like after I've eaten 4 items from Taco Bell. The thing that sends your taste buds into the stratosphere is the Salsa itself comes with. It's like a smokier salsa and that alone is music to my heart and soul. If it ever gets too spicy it comes with sour cream to cool you down. But I almost guarantee if you order this, it's gonna be hard to pull away from that Burrito. Also the Paloma and El Berto drinks are amazing. The Mimosa flight is very much worth the price. Uncle Wigs is good but on the lighter side booze wise. So if you are lightweight, this could be a good choice. La Cheve has a unique system with ordering and getting your table. Normally if you go to a place where you order and then sit, you are usually allowed to sit where you want. Here they actually still show you to your table. However you won't have to wait super long for your food because once you sit down you see how well oiled the machine really is. The team at La Cheve is able to carefully manage the seating so that it never ever really feels like there is chaos. Some people might look at the open tables around them and be confused but not me. You ever go to a restaurant where its so loud that you have to turn your speaker volume up to 11/10? I can't stand that. Part of going out to a restaurant whether it's your friends or family is the experience. I want to reconnect with the people I love. I want to have pleasant and fun conversations. So when you pair that with the already good food and drinks, I think La Cheve has really mastered the full dining experience in their own unique way.

Everything our table ordered was delicious, cooked perfectly, and well-presented. The kitchen definitely knows what they are doing. The Service Unfortunately, the dining experience was really let down by how rushed we felt. Throughout the night, it felt like the front-of-house staff was on a mission to flip our table as fast as possible. Servers were constantly hovering and picking up plates while half of our group was still actively eating. It reached a point where one of my friends was practically interrogated about whether she was finished. They kept coming back to check on her plate so many times that she eventually just gave up, got annoyed, and told them to just take it away before she was even done. It's hard to enjoy great food when you feel like an inconvenience or a timer is ticking down. I'd love to come back for the flavors, but the staff needs to let guests actually breathe and enjoy their meals.

What came up short was the ratio of batter to fish. Way too much batter for the amount of fish. Also it was totally the wrong fish for the batter. Way too soft. I don't know how you eat these in the restaurant but they are a mess. If I'm paying almost twenty bucks for fish tacos. I think I might expect slightly more elegance. Menu did look very interesting. Got the carnitas burrito and carne asada / carnitas tacos. Sadly it was all a miss. Almost everywhere in Napa gives complimentary chips salsa, maybe $1 or 2 for refill or no charge at all . Tannyas charges $4 for stale rock hard cold corn chips and charge for extra salsa. No refills! I wouldn't even mind paying for chips and salsa if it was good, but it just wasn't at all. Not BAD but ive had better at home or from the grocery store. The burrito was fairly small. Super Average filled with subpar bland spanish rice & refried beans. Carnitas was dried out. We ordered a couple more tacos those were sadly really uneventful. Super dry. Old. Not much flavor. Hard shell was tough brittle. Almost cut up my mouth a few times on the chips. Hopefully tannyas can get it together. Bring back the good food.
