I've been eating here since 96. The portions are large...even the mini burrito is substantial compared to other place. The chimichanga with carnitas Is phenomenal. The pork was tender and full of juicy goodness. My daughters split the mini-burrito with carnitas and could not finish it. Came here to eat with my girl. Got the tacos and enchilada plate. Overall it was pretty good. However It was way overpriced so I had to give it 3/5 stars. We had 2 drinks, 1 beer. One plate of enchilada and taco and one plate of enchilada and flauta and a bowl of posole It was over $70. The posole was the best I've ever had. The employees are very nice too. I don't get it. We go here with some regularly at work, and every time we do, I am disappointed. This is some gringo Mexican food. Burritos slathered in sauces, filled with meh meats, and just generally disappointing. Napa has a lot to learn about Mexican food. I've tried a few times, and it's been pretty bad every time. I went to villa corona about an hour ago. I placed an order over the phone for 2 super burritos de carne asada. One with regular red sauce and the other with green sauce. When I arrived to pay for my order. I was surprised by how much the total was. $37.60 for 2 burritos. It Would've been nice if I knew the prices before hand. But unfortunately they're nowhere to be found. And to top it off for 37.60 they couldn't even get my order right. They were both with red sauce. If I could give zero stars I would. Disappointing. After reading the various reviews here, I was hopeful but, like almost all the other Mexican restaurants in Napa, the food is just ok. My Carne Asada super burrito was barely warm, and rather bland, even with the red sauce and copious amounts of added hot sauce. We also had a chicken super burrito that was extremely bland. The super nachos were made with Velveeta (or something similar), and were cold. The best part of the meal was the Mexican coke. I will try the restaurant again to see if some of their other items are better but I am not hopeful. read more

We visited this restaurant on Sunday evening and food was delicious. My family and I tried different dishes, and everything was very tasty. Carne azada was very good with lots of meat served with guacamole, beans, tomato salad, and The rice was the best Mexican rice I have tried. My little daughter also loved the rice. Service was excellent also, when I asked for a cup of coffee the lady who took my order said that they were out but she was so sweet and offered to make fresh coffee for us which was ready after few minutes. What happened to this place? I'll give it 3 stars because the meat was delicious but the guacamole and nacho cheese instead of good ol shredded? Ugh nacho cheese was straight out of the can. I ordered the chicken nachos and there was little to be excited about. My husband had the carne Asada super burrito without the red sauce (gives him heartburn). It came with a side of nacho cheese. I have never been to a Mexican restaurant that served that on the side of a burrito. I'm very disappointed to call this Mexican American food. I ordered 4 tacos; 2 azada and 2 adobada. Nothing out of the ordinary. As soon as I get the order of tacos delivered to our table I notice instantly that the adobo meat looked a lot different than what it usually looks like; I went and ask if the meat was chorizo instead of adobo meat; perhaps I thought, they made a mistake. The lady looked at me straight to my eyes and said firmly.... NO... it is adobo meat. Many things crossed my mind but nothing that could make sense of why the meat looked like that. We were in town for a week and a half and wanted something a little more casual and laid back than the typical touristy restaurants in downtown Napa that our hotel kept recommending. We ended up at Villa Corona and it was exactly what we had been craving. I had a Chile Verde super burrito and it was some of the best Chile Verde I've ever had. The atmosphere is laid back and casual, the food is extreamly flavorful with quality ingredients, the portions are beyond generous, and the price is right. Villa Corona has been one of our family faves for many years. So when my hubby & I were looking for a caterer for our wedding, they went straight to the top of our list! O.M.G. Carlos and his superstar team took Mexican catering to a whole new level. We knew the food would be delicious, but the presentation and service went way beyond our expectations (check out some of the photos I posted). Amiright? When guests arrived, they were greeted with wine, tortugas & sopitos appetizers, and aguas frescas. Once seated, they noshed on a nice spread of chips, salsa, and guacamole. VC was everywhere, and our guests complimented us on having such courteous and friendly servers. For dinner, VC served dinner buffet style (plus special plates for us newlyweds, nice touch), and worked with our DJ to make it a smooth and easy process. Good burritos, great salsa. I had the chicken Super Burrito (burrito with lettuce, sour cream & guac inside, *nacho* cheese and sauce on top). My girlfriend had the chicken chimichanga. Both were delicious. I actually preferred the chimichanga because of the melty cheese inside, but I had no problem finishing off my burrito. The chicken is nice and tender, the tortillas are fresh, and everything just feels right about this stuff. There's no regular wait service. You stand in line to order at the counter, go find a table, and wait for your food. Bottled and canned drinks are found in a fridge to your left as you stand in line. The only problem I really have with this place is that chips & salsa are extra even when you dine in. The salsa is so good we got a pint of it and a bag of chips to go, though, so I guess I didn't mind so much that it cost extra. read more
