Was looking for a quick pizza stop and up popped this place. 15 min before closing time it was cutting it close but they still nicely greeted and seated us. The house salad was tasty and thoughtfully cut into little pieces which was surprisingly nice to not feel like a rabbit aggressively taking in her greens. The margarita pizza was just as yummy. The service was beyond amazing. Next time I visit it'll definitely it be with a pit stop pizza frame of mind. Need to try the pasta! read more

I think V's is my favorite restaurant. If money was no object I would dine here every night. I've been here several times over the past year. V's is a smaller restaurant across PCH from Carbon Beach. There is street parking but if you can't find it there is a nice valet. When you enter there is a bar which usually has a view singles chattin it up. I've never sat there but there are a couple TVs to watch the game. I like a window seat to people watch. There are some bigger booths as well. The drinks here are delish and stout. A lot of the diners order multiple bottles of wine. The food here is so good that my mouth is watering writing this review. They have this delicious salmon with a side of Couscous that just blows me away. The espresso chocolate creme brûlée changed me. We have tried the flatbreads, crab cakes and Ahi as well. Overall, always a great experience. I love listening to the Malibu locals order their food- "is Carlos here? He knows how I like my steak!" LOL I can't wait to come back. read more

My boyfriend and I came here on Valentines Day. Since then I haven't stopped thinking about it. Everything was excellent and perfect for a romantic date night. The food was absolutely delicious (pasta), the appetizers were so good, and the wine had me feeling great. The waiter was also super professional and on top of it. The ambience of the restaurant is very dark and moody (at least on Valentine's Day it was). Awesome restaurant during this pandemic made last minute reservations reserved for 4 people got there at 8:30pm our reservation was for 9:00pm. Gentleman working at front nice guy got there checked in our table was ready. Service is quick and waiters are always around the tables checking up making sure everything is good. Started off with portbella mushrooms very good recommend (if you like mushrooms fried get it ask for some ketchup) A Tuna tarter was fresh and very good with guacamole underneath the fish very good recommend A Truffle Mac & cheese was alright to be honest I have had better but it's still good worth to try it out B For the main entrees everyone has got there own I had a slice of margarita pizza which was really good had a slice of the spinach pizza which was alright. I was very surprised by how wonderful V's was. I came here on a Sunday morning and was not expecting such a lovely lunch. The restaurant was stunning and I just loved the interior design. Service was excellent and our waitress was incredibly attentive and kind. If you come here, I suggest you order their seafood. For our appetizer, we ordered the calamari. Very standard, nothing special here. What was amazing were the entrees. I ordered the SEAFOOD LINGUINE and it had the freshest seafood I've ever tasted with pasta. I bit into a mussel and it was very fat and juicy. There was shrimp, clams, mussels, squid ---- it was fantastic. I also recommend the WILD MUSHROOM TAGLIATELLE. On the dinner menu, this tagliatelle has truffle oil. When we found out they didn't offer it for lunch, we told them and they added a generous amount for us at a very reasonable price. It was very creamy and rich. I absolutely loved it. My sister ordered the fish special. I had a bite, and once again, they delivered very fresh seafood. This is definitely their forte. The restaurant was clean the waitstaff was friendly and I believe the owner or manager was also pleasant. My husband and I started with appetizers. Crab cake, calamari and their version of a caprese salad. I was disappointed in the calamari. It had zero flavor. The caprese was just ok. However, the crab cake was delicious without the yellow sauce on the plate. I also had a bloody Mary and my husband an old fashion, both made well. We didn't try anything else, but I doubt I return because an Italian place with bland calamari is frightening. read more

Cute date night spot, with a view! I don't get cravings for Italian food, and whenever I do, it's a deep, omnipresent feeling that cannot be overlooked... LOL. So, that's when I came upon this adorable restaurant! My boyfriend and I continued our Valentine's weekend celebration at V's on a Saturday evening. Think we beat the traffic rush, as we were able to park into the tiny lot without having to pay for valet (this was probably 5 PM). Each ordered a pizza - I got the margarita, and he the sausage. He's a big fan of doughy pizzas with a lot of flavory on the crust so it wasn't for him; on the other hand, I LOVE crunchy flatbreads so I thought it was fantastic. I especially enjoyed the service and the overall arrangement of the restaurant, very fancy, very cute. If I get a chance to come back, I would probably try one of their pastas! read more

I wasn't impressed unfortunately. I ordered the Skirt Steak (medium rare) and asked for a side of mushroom sauce (for my mashed potatoes). Instead I got a giant side of sautéed mushroom (no juices, no gravy) and no mashed potatoes or asparagus. The server realized the order was incorrect and brought out the mushroom gravy (which wasn't good) but by then I had discovered the steak was chewy and lacked flavor. It was overpriced (as everything in Malibu is) and I didn't feel it was worth the money. I won't be going back. We went to V's a few years ago and it was outstanding. It was pricey but worth it because everything was executed perfectly. We went last Saturday to celebrate a birthday. Still pricey but really lacking in execution. Maybe it's because of Covid/inflation whatever, it was just disappointing. We aren't strangers to paying good money for a great dining experience, but felt like in general the food was overpriced for the quality. if you're looking for great Italian fare or really good pizza, I recommend skipping V's We had 2 salads, a pasta dish, a pizza, and some cocktails. The Iceberg Wedge Salad was ok, although we were disappointed that on an $18 salad it seemed that the bacon wasn't fresh. The Butter Lettuce Salad was ok; not bad, but not great or memorable either. Following salads, we shared Chicken Sausage Rigatoni. No complaints on that one - it was tasty and if was all that we'd ordered, I'd have scored this higher. Finally, we ordered the Italian Sausage pizza as our server said that it was the most popular of the pizzas. It was extremely disappointing; absolutely nothing special about that one. Our drinks were tasty (Spanish G&T and a Mojito) but they weren't as spectacular as their price tag. All in all, we left underwhelmed for a pretty pricey dinner. read more

There's maybe 20 tables max inside which gives it a comfortable and home-like feel. All the servers and host were very kind and attentive. Their cocktails are excellent. Order one of their housemaid creations. The bar is very small so do not go here for just a quick drink. This is more of a sit down wine with friends for two hours type dinner versus a come and go. I got the Warmed Spanish Octopus to start. This came with pesto drizzled with truffle. It laid atop heated white beans. The soft White beans with the chargrilled slightly crisped outside was the perfect combination of textures!!! For my main course, I had the Wild Mushroom Tagliatelle. I would've paid money to have my stomach be able to hold more food. This is by far of of the best pasta dishes I've ever had. If you like anything mushroom----this is a must order. I had some friends that needed food at home so I ordered a pizza to go when I ordered my main dish. When I was brought the check, they brought my pizza in a box as well. I had the pepperoni pizza. Was looking for a place to eat some grilled octopus and stumbled upon this place. Absolutely delicious grilled Spanish octopus and truffle Mac cheese. The service was outstanding and the stuff was very friendly and welcoming. The location is great, have valet parking, but you can also park on the street. Before I begin this review, I just want to add that V's Is up to par with safety precautions for the coronavirus Pandemic. They have outdoor seating, and the staff sanitizes the area, all while wearing masks and face shields. V's is the best place to go to. Literally whenever. Any time you are looking anywhere from a small bite to eat, to a more filling meal, you can always find a seat and a friendly face at V's. My family and I go here once or twice a month, and our experiences are always pleasant. The two owners are really, lovely people, and they always welcome us to their restaurant. And as well, the waiters are so nice, and we always have good conversations with them. The food is always delicious, and I would recommend the warm Spanish octopus and the iceberg wedge salad, to start. For an entree, I would seriously recommend the pesto crusted Lamb chops, they are indescribably good. But honestly, you cannot go wrong here. There is so much to try and so many good times to be had. And don't get me started on the desserts. The Peanut Butter Pie... I would die for it. Thank you so much, V's, for the amazing experiences, and delicious food. First time customer here. How can I sum up my experience tonight? I can only say: amazing! When I first arrived there, I realized that I didn't have enough cash for valet. Luckily they allowed payment via credit card except that you'd need to pay $3 more. Initially I was going to find the nearest atm but I think the owner or manager came out to tell me the nearest atm was about 15 mins to walk either direction. He was so nice by doing that. We sat outside as the restaurant had outdoor dining. When it came to the food, we ordered a few dishes. Of course, we asked the waitress what were some of the restaurant specialties. She recommended the truffle mac and cheese which was what we ordered. We wanted to try the pizza so she recommended the margherita and so we ordered that. We also ordered the ahi tuna tartare and that was pretty good as well. The service was second to none. Our server was extra attentive and was able to help us with our first dining experience here. Towards the end we felt a little chilly so we asked her to turn on the heater. I would definitely come back again and try some of their entrees! read more

V's restaurant is a little gem (4.5 stars) located on PCH opposite from the beach. It has approximately 15 or so tables and booths, clean modern interior, lots of windows, it has a really nice vibe. It has a separate bar area. Offers valet parking for $8 and also has limited parking on the street. The reason it isn't 5 stars was that on one order it was supposed to be gluten free for a serious health condition and it came out regular, once we questioned it, they immediately rectified it. So deducted 1/2 star. Service was excellent as well as everything we tasted. The Gin Collins drink was tasty and refreshing. For appetizers we had the portobello fries, tuna tartare, Truffle Mac and cheese, octopus and they were all excellent. For the main course we had the Filet, Salmon, chicken sausage rigatoni, prosciutto pizza and penne shrimp. All of the them were delicious and highly recommended. As for desserts we had the berry crumple (super popular) the peanut butter pie and by far the favorite at our table was the Chocolate Creme Brûlée. Recently had a family event for 25 people. The restaurant is lovely, spacious seating, nice atmosphere, there's outdoor seating, but we chose indoors. The service was excellent, especially handling 25 guests, no mixup in orders, quite accommodating explaining different dishes. Food, oh my gosh the food was unbelievable! V's Restaurant is just one of my favorite places to dine anywhere in L.A. Great ambiance, exceptional service and fabulous bar like no other. Expansive wine list as well. The menu is somewhat constant but always satisfying. I am particularly grateful that Duck Confit is back. Their 'forbidden rice' and apple/cherry sauce is impossible to pass up. Other very special items to experience: Tadori Chicken, V's Chopped Salad, Wild Mushroom Tagliatelle and Sand Dabs in Lemon Caper Sauce. All are spectacularly unique. I love to bring visiting family or out of town guests to V's. Always impresses. The price is worth every penny. Easy parking. I cannot wait to go back. read more

Last night's dine-in (if you can call a patio converted from a parking lot "dine in") was truly spectacular. I haven't been to V's in many years, having moved to NYC in 2015, but I am so glad we chose to drive up there for dinner last night. When V's opened, reviews were strong, but it's a risky business and one never knows what will survive. My friend splurged on a half-bottle of Stags Leap (OMG) and I'm still taking off the Coronavirus weight so I ate lightly, but even "being good," the dinner was memorable. *The wedge salad is lightly dressed and not overly large but the micro-bacon bits give it a powerful flavor, along with fresh blue cheese and tomatoes. *Burrata heirloom tomato salad I split and every bite was a burst of happiness. *Large ahi tartare, one of the best I've had. *One of the best Manhattans I've tasted in a life of Manhattans. Also a gin cocktail. I asked them to go easy on the St Germaine, so the lime juice and cucumber dominated. Our server, Frisli (I should have asked but that's what the bill said), was a pleasure to speak with and we hung out a bit longer than usual. The entrees are expensive (30 to 45) but the starters are large and for a lighter eater, one can serve as an entree. The flatbreads are as usual a bargain. And there were more substantive starters like mussels and a mac and cheese, that could serve as an entree. You can spend a lot at V's or you can mix and match starters and get out of there at 40 a person without booze. The nicest people own and run this restaurant and it was lovely to support them in their first week of "dine-in" during the pandemic. They laid carpet on the concrete and put a tarp over the patio. The nights have hovered around 60 degrees and they have strong heaters. I wore a sheer long sundress and light sweater and felt fine, but I don't mind the cold. If you run cold, you should wear a real sweater. read more

The food and staff at V's restaurant are top shelf. Dining on the patio as we gazed at the ocean filled my heart with a great sense of calm. The staff are amazing, prompt and eager to please. It's an upscale local restaurant that's loads behind the experience of a Geoffrey's, Nobu, Mastro's, and Moonshadows. If you're in the area, then hit it. Don't drive miles to come here -- it's not a destination place. V's for Valentine's ============== I came here with my gf on Feb 14. $6 valet at the doorstep. Small bar, seats 6. The host, Vassil, I presume -- was not over the top, but very nice, gracious, and on the verge of quiet. Definitely didn't experience of the accolades that he apparently showed in other reviews. Disappointed ========== A special Valentine's Day menu of 4 appetizers, 6 entrees, 2 salads, and 3 desserts. Nowhere listed on the website was a special menu for Valentine's. It wasn't fixed price, but I wanted available the wonderful menu that is normally offered. Boo for me. Whine, no wine! ============ The wines we tried were good, and priced well from $10-$13 per glass. The food is quite wonderful, but overall 20% pricey ======================================= The Wild Arugula Salad ($18, 4.5 stars) was filled with feta, strawberries, and figs (that's wild, boy!). Short Rib atop creamy risotto ($42, 4.5 stars) was totally and completely delish. Filet Mignon ($52, 4.0 stars) with cooked to perfection accompanied by bone marrow and asparagus. Portions of all were fair. Following up the food was the Berry Crumble ($12, 5.0 stars) with whipped cream (very worthy) and a decaf Cappuccino ($6, 4.5 stars). Service was very nice by Lydia, attentive and pleasant.
