I am SO disappointed in my experience at WaBa Grill in Lake Elsinore. After looking at the reviews on yelp and social media I am actually shocked that you allow this franchise to continue using the WaBa grill name! We paid good for this "food" and this is how it's given to us. We paid extra to have one of our bowls have white meat instead of dark. Didn't get it. Plus the chicken was full of gristle and fat. We paid extra to have extra veggies and less rice. We got it but they were completely raw! There is no way these veggies have ever even seen steam. Completely raw broccoli. To top it off we got what looks to be the hard center of a cabbage. Completely inedible. We paid for a side of dumplings... I hope whoever is reading this is as disgusted as we were. They look like they've been pre-chewed and are burnt!!! Awful awful awful experience. Just a couple of kids behind the counter who would rather not be working who don't give a crap about the product they put out. It's a shame. Walked in and no customers were inside, we placed our order and 2 other families walk in after us, and we sat down for a while and both families got their food before us, and then I over heard the employee say they lost my receipt and they realized later they haven't made my order so they rushed to make it We got the food, and the "vegetables" was all HUGE pieces of cabbage that are literally hard and that's all that was in our bowls. I've been going to this waba grill since they opened and over the past couple years they fell off. I order the same thing every time. Chicken bowl with white rice and avocado. And I've stopped coming for months at a time because of the same reason. Order is always wrong and even when it's correct, the same cook seems to manage to overcook the chicken every time. If it's no over cooked, It's less quantity. If it's not less chicken then it's less rice. If it's not less rice it's missing the avocado. Nothing personal to the cook but maybe it's time to get someone else on the grill. She genuinely just doesn't care about what she's doing and she always looks pissed off. read more

I thought I was going to die from smoke inhalation and I guess it's been going on for a month. I don't blame the employees here at all but it falls on the owner for being too cheap to fix the vents. The poor cook and cashier have to stand in their inhaling that smoke is not healthy and I'm still coughing as I sit in my car writing this review. I came to WaBa for dinner after being on the road all day for work and had to use the restroom extremely bad, I asked if I could use the restroom and I was told I could not use the restroom and had to go next door to the sushi restaurant (Kibo sushi) I went to the sushi restaurant they would not let me use the restroom either unless I paid five dollars for a water! Ridiculous! But I ended up paying for the water so I could use the restroom went back to Waba grill explained to them the story and a different girl said well you could use our restroom it is for paying customers only which I was a paying customer and was denied the restroom never again will I ever go to that Waba Grill or Kibo sushi! Order food for me and my family yesterday after work while the initial service was okay. My order was wrong still after going over it twice with the gentleman at the register. While I was waiting for my food I saw one of the workers remove food from a tray with his hands no gloves on and replace it with what I believe was correct vegetables that were ordered. For my order I asked for double meat on 3 waba veggie bowls and no extra meat was given. Two of the bowls were supposed to have brown rice which was way overcooked. The veggies in all four bowls were not edible they were rock hard it was to a point that I gave the food to my dog and all he ate was the brown rice and he loves veggies. This place is a hot mess! The bathrooms are out of order, The soda machine is out of order, The receipt printer is out of order and they don't take cash over $20. What a shame. I feel sorry for the owners of this business.. I can tell you, that you have lost my business for good. This is the second time that I have had a bad experience at your restaurant. The first bad experience happened the week of 4/20. I went in with my wife to order and both employees working at the time did not have face coverings. While ordering the female employee gave us attitude, I do not know why. Second she was wearing a glove in one hand, but was still doing cash transactions and then serving the food without changing them or washing her hands. The next bad experience happened today (4/28/20). I just called the restaurant line to place my order. No one picked up the first time. after calling the second time a female answered. She created me, but after telling her I wanted to place an order she grunted and resentfully said, "oh yeah, what can I help you with" May not sound bad on here, but her tone of voice said it all. It took over 30 minutes to get our food. I walked in and the front line worker was stressed because the meats were not on the grill. The line cook did not put any meat on the grill till after being there for 5-10 minutes. There was a line before I got there of people waiting for food. I don't recommend this location to anyone. I came in today at Waba Grill on 01/31/24 to get the spicy chicken meal. The plate and I got had a dry orange with mold on it and the brown rice I got that was underneath the chicken was undercooked very crunchy. I felt like I was eating cereal and the workers were on their phones, not paying attention they try to give me another orange and the orange again also was dry. Luckily it didn't have any moles, because of how dry it was the two females, I didn't realize until they prepared another friend of mine, their mail, and they didn't have any gloves on. They were using their bare hands, and it really shocks me how they can prepare a meal without gloves is very unsanitary and very gross and they had a lot of attitude. Beware of this location! To start, their system was down so the store couldn't accept cash AND weren't able to provide printed receipts. I ordered two chicken bowls and two drinks on 09/13 and the employee accidentally charged avocado on both bowls which raised the price to a crazy amount. It was my first time ordering Waba Grill so I assumed the price was firm, until my friend told me there must have been an error. After talking to the employee, she realized she charged me for avocado I didn't ask for, and claimed she didn't know how to do refunds. She called her manager, in which she stated that she will issue a refund and will be processed in about a week. Two weeks have passed and today I got the charge in my bank for the error price. I probably can't go back and complain because I have no receipt! Save yourself time and try ordering Waba at another location. read more

My husband ordered a chicken and steak salad with no fruit and replace the fruit with an up charge of dumplings. I ordered a tofu salad because I am a vegetarian. This was a $40 order. We get the food and my husband has vegetables and no dumplings that we paid for. I open my salad and it is not a tofu salad but I'm fact a full chicken salad. We paid the full up charge for for dumplings and I paid for a tofu salad that I now cannot eat. I called waba (Grape street in Lake Elsinore) and the staff member said he took down my order information, my cell phone number and my name. He told me he would immediately call the manager and either he or the manager would contact me to discuss what could be done. It is now 2 hours later and I have not heard back from Waba, the store is conveniently closed for the evening and I now have to call in the morning to make sure I can get something for my $40 order. I am frustrated that they would take my money and not have the courtesy to contact me back for this mistake. This was disappointing and I hope to hear back from them to resolve this matter. read more
