For the past 6 months, I've been eating at this prime location at The Wiltern in case I'm craving for some healthy rice bowls. On my Waba days, I usually come here during dinner at around 6pm. Service is swift and prompt because they cook as you order. I usually get my order within 5-10 minutes (depending on how busy it gets). Props to Joon for being cordial, attentive and professional to many customers and regulars like me. The ambiance is pretty bright and spacious with a few long tables, elevated seats and a low bar style section facing Ralphs. This location is also clean and well-kept. I also love it when they play the latest kpop hits (NewJeans, Le Sserafim) and Taylor Swift's hit songs (Anti-Hero, Cruel Summer) during dinner time. My go-to orders at Waba Grill include Plantspired Steak or Organic Tofu (not pictured) with Brown Rice and steamed vegetables. Their Plantspired Steak reminds me of Beef Bulgogi because of the texture, grilled flavor and the uniquely drizzled sweet umami Waba sauce. I am also fond of their Organic Tofu because it is firm and grilled to perfection. I also love their steamed vegetables because they are still crisp and not overcooked. Their brown rice is moist, warm and not overcooked. I also love that they have dispensers for extra waba sauce (regular and spicy). Out of all the Waba Grill locations I have been to, this one at The Wiltern is my personal favorite! read more

This place is great! One of the very few places in ktown to hangout and eat healthy food. The place is clean and has that cozy feel inside. Shoutout to BILLY & MARIO for being such great guys. They customized my plate to my liking. I'm very picky in a way. but they made sure I got the service and all the stuff that I need. I'm very grateful to them for being so nice! I just want to say, that the customer service at this location is great. The gentlemen that were there on the 29th/Saturday evening. I feel they were extremely patient with me, and they were very nice and understanding, and I want to point out how great and awesome their customer service was. I had an introductory bowl coupon, as I just signed up for the Waba Rewards program, and I was unsure of how the coupon worked, and what I had to do, to claim and redeem it. After they saw I was having difficulties pulling the coupon up on my phone, the employees were very understanding and nice, and explained what I had to do. When they tried to scan my coupon into their POS, it wouldn't go through, after about of minute of them trying. At that point I was willing to never mind the coupon, and told them that it was okay, but they managed to honor and scan the coupon through anyways, and I thought that was very nice, and great customer service. Their bowls, are very great, and I love Waba Grill food. I just wanted to point out, how the employees went above and beyond to help me, with the coupon issue, and I will absolutely come back, as they treat their customers very nice. This Waba Grill is almost invisible from the outside since it's tucked into the side of the Wiltern and not well lit from the sidewalk but it's actually quite spacious and clean inside, unlike the McDonald's a block away. The employees are all very friendly, above and beyond the norm for fast food and will accommodate special requests without the usual hint of annoyance. Portion sizing is reasonable! It's a great value if you come frequently (as I do, since I work from home across the street). The reason for that is they have a generous stamp card program -- you get a free bowl after 10 bowls! In addition, you can stack this with the Waba Grill app rewards, where you get a free bowl after $120 spent. And finally, you can get a free side of dumplings for filling out the customer satisfaction survey after each visit. read more

There are plenty of condiments to jazz it up (green onions, picked jalapeños & carrots, sriracha, teriyaki sauce, etc). Service is super friendly and restrooms are clean. We ordered just the family size chicken a la carte and the man let us know it was 20 oz of chicken. We asked for white meat chicken but it did include pieces of thighs. I think you have to pay extra for al chicken breast. Pretty good for when you are lazy to meal prep! Get it sauce-less because their waba (aka like teriyaki sauce) is gooood but don't overdo it if you are tryna to lose a couple pounds. They have both white and brown rice options btw! I can tell you that their meat quality is much better than expected from a franchise place. Today my friend and I went to this location and ordered two wraps. I couldn't hear when the cashier said "nothing to drink?". We said no. A minute after we realized that they come with drinks already. So I asked Ana and she said: that's why I asked you at the beginning. Here... I had to throw out half of the uncooked huge carrot slices, and 1-1/2 inch square chunks of uncooked cabbage cores. At least the broccoli could be eaten raw. I always get one thing here and that's a chicken bowl with avocado. Taste pretty consistent, sometimes the rice is undercooked, but it is still edible. Ingredients they use seems fresh. Overall pickup food experience for this place is worthy of 4/5 stars. As I walked the lady (red hair with a bandana wrapped around) that had mopped the entire seating area walked over to me and with a HORRIBLE attitude told me that she had closed the area because it was wet, that's why she had put a "wet floor" sign . Umm as far as I know a wet floor sign means "be careful not to fall because it's slippery". Well, I apologized and she just rolled her eyes at me and mopped the area again.
