Love waba Grill! Every time I eat here food is delicious! Employees are quick and helpful!

I'm not going to lie, it's been the 4th time I've been here in the past 2 weeks and I don't plan on stopping. Where do I start? The selection here is simple: chicken, steak or shrimp. If your like me and count your calories, this place is great. Most items such as the bowls are under 500 calories. I recommend the salmon bowl with veggies and brown rice. The dining experience is very minimalist. They have great quartz countertops that are not only hygienic but pleasing to the eyes. Also ample parking for customers. Highly recommended. read more

The food for the most part is always cooked properly and tastes good but the problem is the staff and look of the store from the inside. Majority of the staff are young except for the cooks. They do not take good care of the store. Tables are always dirty unless being asked by a customer to be cleaned. Floors are dirty and sticky. Condiment area is dirty. The staff needs to keep and maintain the store in better condition. Tables need to be wiped down frequently as well as the floor. read more

Decided to try something new, they just opened and I have never been to waba. I was greeted with a friendly hello and ordered, the food was good, and the place was pretty busy, the only down side was that after they called my number to get my food the lady at the counter kinda just threw my order at me, she didn't even look at me or even say thank you! I was kind of shocked. Prob won't ever go to this particular one but the food was yummy so I'll have to find another one to go to. read more

I previously went to the one in Covina, hated it. Staff was okay but the food was very bland and meat was overcooked. Wednesday I thought I give this one a try and was very surprised. More spacious and better quality meat for some reason. Although the staff was poor, except for the cashier with the black and yellow that took my order, some of them looked bored and didnt bother to get my order out until tickets were piled up. This pissed me off especially since it was at the beginning of my lunch break. Anyways, you come here for the food right? Its better and healthier with a clean environment. read more

I have been to the Waba Grill in Glendora in the past and enjoyed the fresh and tasty food served there. I decided to try this location, was that ever a mistake. When I arrived at 8:45, more than half the chairs were up on the tables in the small dining room, even though they close at 9:30. The cash register and drink area were both filthy, there were no clean utensils and the three soy sauce packets that were in the holder were stuck together with dripped teriyaki sauce which seemed to be everywhere. Forks were sitting in the cardboard box that they were shipped in on a counter, no attempt had been made to restock the holder. There were plenty of employees working, indeed their biggest goal was to swoop out and put the chairs up the moment the customer vacated it. At about 9:10, they had locked the doors and were telling customers that they were "running out of food". This might be a plausible excuse once, but not when I have read numerous reviews stating the same thing. Loudly banging trash cans, employees checking watches and sweeping practically under my feet did not make for an inviting environment, in fact I got the distinct impression they couldn't wait for me to get out of there. I will not be back to this location, the food is tasty but customer service is terrible. read more

Just ordered and one of the bowls is a combo beef and chicken but ordered teriyaki only and salmon only. Usually not a problem it's that the traffic is bad and have a drive to Riverside. Guess it was a miscommunication, so came back and was indeed charged for a waba bowl instead of chicken with no adjustment because girl at the register thought she was giving me a discount since she stated no problem, but I actually told her it was no problem that I was owed an adjustment. We eat at waba alot, but will never come back to this one. read more

I was very disappointed. First let me say we placed the order over the phone because it was for 11 lunches. We had to call 5 times to get someone to answer and this was at 11 am. When I arrived about 11:25, i was next in line after a couple so I could pay. They hadn't even started our order. While taking the couples order, the order taker stopped to answer the phone on 3 occasions to take orders while the line kept getting bigger. When it was my turn I wanted to review the order for accuracy. Two of the lunches we had called in weren't even on the order. She then said I had to pay for the first phone order then add the other 2. So I had to use my card twice. I had several questions since I'd never eaten there, like does it come with teriyaki sauce, can you get extra sauce and if so, is there a charge? She just didn't seem capable of answering, and maybe that's because she would answer the phone continually, and by now it was 11:45 and there were 10 people in line. Finally a manager came over and answered my questions, but he seemed rushed and flustered. I noticed they would make a few of the dishes for us, leave them sitting there uncovered, while he would then make other orders. He would get about 3 of mine together, leaving them sitting there, and fix orders of people who were in line after me. Finally a little after 12 he told me my order was ready. I told them I needed to check to make sure everything was there, and they assured me it was, it had been double checked, and they needed the counter space, which is small. Got back to the office. The two orders I had to add were not there. The two orders that were veggies instead of rice only had rice. Three orders were supposed to be brown rice, and two were white rice. Two people ordered their ribs. You get 8-9 ribs. On each of their plates three of the ribs were all bone with no meat, and then a couple of them had a very small piece of meat and the rest was fat. The teriyaki sauce is not very good, though it did like that you helped yourself to green onions, extra teriyaki, spicy carrots. We tried to call for 15 mins to tell them they had forgotten 2 orders. Someone finally had to drive over to get them. When they got their they went straight up to the counter since the line was so long. They were told they would have to wait in line even though we had already ordered and paid. Then when get got to the front they tried to give him the order they had made 45 mins ago that was just sitting on the counter. read more

2 stars because i dont want to be a complete douche about it but not a fan of this location... vegetables tasted so off they need to clean their whatever they use to cook it. The steak on my sisters plate did taste burnt and the chicken is so thinly sliced you could barely taste it. Disappointed compare this location to the one in city of industry or rowland heights on gale ave and fullerton and you'll see for yourself.. doubt I'll be coming here again. And it's so small you can barely navigate around the drinks or sauces. read more

Ordered the steak plate. Everything is made in front of me and food was ready quick. Salad and fruit are really fresh. Steak was good too. Next time I might tell them to give me less sause. Rene was helpful helping me picking what to get. read more

The filthiest place ever, burnt food and they took forever. We gave them the food back and took our money. They have 4 employees, they need at least 8 to run a place like this. Someone should call the health department, they don't clean the floor or the tables. They'll be out of business soon. read more

I'm visiting here for few days from Michigan, I randomly picked this restaurant, I got salmon plate, and my friend got their new item spicy pork plate. They were so busy when I came in, but their service was faster than I thought. Food was super tasty, and cashiers were so nice to customers. They deserve 5 stars. read more

I like Waba Grill but this location sucks. Its very dirty. I don't just mean on one visit it wasn't clean. I mean more often then not its filthy. I always figure if the dining area is filthy then the back of house is even worse. I even took the time to email the corporate office about my experience and after 1 month they didn't even bother to reply. I like Waba and will go to other locations but not this one. read more

Place says it opens at 10:30. Got there at 10:30 and the doors were locked. A man opens the door and says chicken is ready. Okay, I wanted chicken. I go to order and they have chicken but not white meat chicken. If you're going to open at 10:30, be READY to serve everything on your menu at 10:30!! read more

These guys ALWAYS get my order wrong. This time I made it a point to check the bag before I left, and they gave me white rice instead of brown. When I brought it to their attention they said, "sorry we are all out". I asked them, "were you going to tell me or just let me find out at home like always?" Seemed sneaky and deliberate. read more

Good food but ANSWER YOUR PHONE. I try to call ahead to place my order as I'm on the clock and they dont answer the phone at all. I understand they get busy at lunch, but answering the phone is a basic business practice. read more

This is probably the worst waba grill I've ever been to. I went in a couple of weeks ago on a Wednesday night and it took 20 minutes for my chicken bowl to be ready and there were only 2 people in the whole dining area! This is ridiculous the cashiers go to the back and do who knows what. I got my chicken veggie bowl and the chicken was not fully cooked was super chewy and felt under cooked almost raw. The tables and chairs are old and filthy with built up grease all around the tables. I am never returning to this location the one in La Puente on Hacienda is a bit better. I don't like this location whatsoever read more

The food is so good. Low in calories, really healthy, and they offer brown rice. It's really well cooked and the Waba sauce is to die for. There is one thing that REALLY UPSET ME. The Salmon Bowls are overpriced and they give you such a small piece of salmon. The picture shows the salmon being like a 6oz. fillet but it's only about 3oz. at most. Waba Grill is ok, but it is not worth the price. Their food is expensive, and they charge extra for brown rice. Furthermore they serve the same quality of meat and rice as anyone else. On the plus side the staff was friendly; however, I would not reccomend Waba Grill to anyone. The food is just not worth another visit. read more

The only thing I liked about this place was the cashier Leeanne i believe. She greeted me nicely and took my order accurate. Everything else was horrible. The shrimp tasted like rubber and the brown rice was very mushy. The prices were stupid, ridiculous, and too expensive just for a shrimp bowl. I was better off going to Flame Broiler across the street. SMH. read more

This is the first WaBa Grill I've ever been too, and it was the WORST EXPERIENCE I ever had! When my boyfriend called to place our order, the guy on the phone didn't sound like he cared and hung up right after he placed the order, leaving my boyfriend on the phone wondering if the call got disconnected. When we got to the restaurant, I heard the guy at the register and another worker say a rude comment and saw that it was about me, since I could clearly see them from the reflection of the window looking at me laughing. When my boyfriend asked the cashier if he could have some sauce, the cashier rudely pointed to the sauce machine with a mean look on his as if saying, "Are you stupid?" The guy at the register had a name that started with a J, and had a winky face on his name tag. They also got my boyfriend's order wrong. It's sad to see workers with no respect for the customers or company. I hope other WaBa Grills aren't like this. read more
