This is an overall decent Waffle House. The service is good and the place has that greasy-spoon diner ambiance that we have come to expect from a Waffle House. My favorite part of Waffle House are their home fries and in my opinion, it is what sets them apart. My go-to items at a Waffle House are either one of their egg based breakfasts or the patty melt. I absolutely love WH, and I've never had a meal there that I didn't enjoy. However, tonight was an exception, as I discovered that their food wasn't as good as I had hoped. I ordered it online, so I wouldn't have to wait too long. The service was ok, which is also why they're getting a 1. I got the all star - grits, scrambled eggs, a regular waffle, and bacon. The grits were a bit hard, so they were not the best. The scrambled eggs were okay, but they were definitely cooked with something that burnt on the stove which is why they were okay. The waffle was over cooked, so it wasn't as soft as I'm used to it being. The bacon was burnt,it was not the best being a lot of it was burnt. I won't be returning to this location. read more

Waffle House is best done after a long night of out at the bar/club, or as an easy meal after a long day of travel. I stopped here because I love Waffle House as a simple go-to. I've had great WH nights and bad WH experiences, so I feel like I can review this accurately and honestly. I got the Hash Brown bowl which always hits right. The plate I got was substantial, but a little greasy near the end. I got a waffle with chocolate and PB chips, too. Warm soft and tasty, no issues there. Really good with syrup and I wish I got coffee with this. Service was less than hospitable and slow. I wanna add that the place was empty at 8pm on a Wednesday night. Growing up in the south, Waffle House has been a staple restaurant for as long as I can remember. It's not fancy but they're always open and produce solid hot food at an affordable price. This location was one of the best I've visited in a long time. The staff was very friendly, accommodating, and courteous. It was a slow afternoon so they were more than happy to engage with me while I waiting for my to go order to be completed. This Waffle House is easily accessible on the north side of the I-10 and easy to get off and back on the 10 and on your way. The parking lot is a bit on the small side, but its not like its a huge restaurant anyways. On my most recent visit, there were no other customers. It was about 8pm on a Friday night, and 3 people working. They were all about giving each other a hard time and not really working. This is your typical old school diner, do not expect locally sourced organic food. Cheap food is what they are all about! Don't get me wrong, I eat here, and would eat more regularly at the chain if I weren't currently trying to watch what I eat. This location is clean, decent customer service. Get a couple of waffles and sides of bacon. Or whatever other greasy goodness you want. Hashbrowns smothered and covered, or however you like it. This is best eaten after a few drinks. Just don't let your food get cold. It will not increase the taste or how appetizing (or not) the food is. read more

Sat down today 8-7-22 and ordered after a few minutes. Then waited 15 min (in which time the kitchen staff just argued over nothing) for most of our meals to come all except a waffle. Still no drinks. I got a OJ, one of the three beverages I ordered after I was almost done eating my meal. Once I finished my meal and the OJ, my coffee came. The jukebox is an updated digital version which randomly plays songs while the cooks prepare your food on the grill in view of everyone. Yes, even the kids menu is "waffle, scrambled eggs and bacon". For starters, I was pretty sure our waitress Alisha was a mute until she asked my husband if he wanted anything to drink. When my husband and I walked in, no one greeted us even though there was only one other customer there. We asked if we could sit in the booth and she nodded. Then she walked over with our flatware and straws and hovered while we looked over the menu. This was our first ever visit to a Waffle House, so we needed a moment but she just hovered, not saying a word. We both ordered the waffle with bacon on the side, and hubby ordered the hash browns with cheese. I ordered coffee, and hubby ordered water. Hubby's water arrived pretty quickly. The cream for my coffee and the syrup followed shortly thereafter. Then there was a wait. A long wait. Again, there was only one other customer in the place. Eventually our waffles arrived. Then, after we had time to finish all but about 4 bites (and we were taking our time in the hopes that our sides would arrive before we finished the waffles) the bacon arrived. Hubby's was a little overdone and mine was charred (see photo). Ordinarily I would have asked for a new order of bacon, but I didn't want to wait another 20 minutes. Then, after we had finished the last of our waffles and hubby's bacon, the hash browns with cheese (which turned out to be a slice of American cheese) and my coffee arrived. All the while, Alisha didn't make another peep except to see how everything was after we finished everything. This includes the time spent checking us out when we paid. The $2.00 tip we left for her was far too generous. I sincerely hope that this is not indicative of a normal Waffle House experience. read more

The cook was working as fast as he could, and the young female server was working equally as hard to get the orders out. The clientele, however, left much to be desired. There were a couple of guys who were acting so inappropriately in the way they spoke to this young server. Their general conversation left much to be desired as well. We had to walk to the register to ask for our drinks because after 20 minutes, we still hadn't received them. The Waffle House has really amazing food, but... the customer service was bad. The waitress was rude. She was not being the friendly person that she was supposed to be. She didn't give us any eye contact when we were talking to her and she got my sisters order wrong. When traveling you expect a really good breakfast which we got and you also expect to walk out of there having a smile on your face cuz the waiter gave you a good time which we didn't get! I didn't want to give this good restaurant an okay rating but I guess good food isn't enough! Okay so me and one of my sisters got the breakfast bowl that has hash, egg and sausage. Typical WaHo. It seems to always be extremely busy, so be prepared to wait a little bit. Service is hit or miss. You might have no complaints or you might never encounter your server at all... roll the dice! Service almost seems better when they are really busy. They only put out the *house favorites* menu so you might not see some things on there like the fiesta omelette, a personal favorite of mine. Always odd when food comes at ya as it comes out of the kitchen, instead of all together. But I suppose it's fresher that way, so I can't complain. I ordered chicken and eggs...and saw my chicken breast probably a solid ten minutes before eggs materialized. They were overcooked, but I was famished, so I dealt with it. Reynisha, my waitress, was a doll and very accommodating. Made me feel right at home, eating alone in a Waffle House. Sigh. So...there's a VERY unWaffleHouse item in this location. A touch screen internet juke box. And as the night staff came in (I was there between 9:30-10:30 pm) to eat and prepare for the clock to strike Drunk Thirty, they cranked the juke up to full throttle and I couldn't hear myself masticate my chicken over Toni Braxton belting out here Toni Braxtonness. This is easily the worst waffle house I have ever set foot inside. After we sat down it was at least fifteen minutes of being told "I'll be with you in a second", before the drink orders were taken. We asked her to wipe the table because there was food all over and she acted like we were being a hassle because we didn't want to sit with coffee, ham chunks, and hash browns all over in front of us. After another fifteen minutes the drinks were dropped off but she walked off before taking the food order. I called her back and told her we needed straws and were ready to order but she just handed us straws and told us she would be back in a minute. Now I started watching the time. It was another 12 minutes before she came back over because everyone kept just giving her the hunger stare. She took the order and dropped off flatware. Every single person had at least one piece of flatware that had food stuck to it and one had a full set of dirty ones. When she walked past again we got her attention and pointed it out and she got more but got annoyed and it only got worse when the person who had the full dirty set dared to ask her for plastic ware. Food came out pretty fast after the order went in but everyone who had eggs had large pieces of shell and I had a ton of onions stuck all over the bottom of my plate ( that part I know was not on the waitress but does reflect of the resteraunt as a whole) When we left (those of us with eggs just didn't finish eating) she was all smiles and I'm sorry things were slow. She stared at everyone of us when we were dealing with the credit card receipts making noises when no one tipped her more than a dollar a piece, which considering no one had a meal over ten bucks and there were six of us was still generous after that service. If she had time to be laughing, joking and having conversations with some tables then she had time to handle the other ones. She was not busy. I will never ever stop here again. read more
