I'm giving the restaurant a five star rating because it has been a great place for a very good breakfast. The food is always delicious. I had a little mishap with my hash browns but the waitress was so helpful and brought me out fruit instead when I asked for it. The service is always awesome. I love the atmosphere and the architecture of the place. There's plenty of seating and a small wait because it gets its regulars. It's definitely a "home cooked" meal without cooking at home. Always love to come back.

Medium well was medium rare and cold in the middle...what a Father's Day breakfast...I'm frkn hungry....

1st of all, Food of my daughter and wife was on Pointe!!! Very good on their pancakes and waffles. Service was good. Our server was very accommodating and caring for my order especially on Father's Day. The ambience was perfect. But I gave a 3 start to the lack of knowledge of the cooks. Ordered Medium steak and eggs at first and then got well done. Then the server acknowledged my order and agreed that my steak wasn't medium , so she returned with a medium rare which the pink in the middle was not medium and was COLD ....WHAT KIND OF COOKS DOES THIS. So had to leave a 3 star cause I was very upset and disappointed for my father's day breakfast. Will I come back??? We'll see after I have eaten my western Cheese burger later that was supposedly compensated for my steak. Which was not refunded for the steak but the cheeseburger to go was accommodated for the steak...

Excellent orange juice and Canadian maple syrup available! Both breakfast and lunch fare available. On the corner in the main downtown of Lincoln where Awful Annies used to be. Good option for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. Open at 7 am. Closed at 2 pm.

The waffles are delicious along with their breakfast sausages! The ambiance is charming and cozy. But having dry biscuits and gravy, undercooked hash browns, and mediocre service knock the experience down a little. The weekly special that peaked my interest was the raspberries and cream waffle. Very yummy and not overbearingly sweet!

(Review from daughter) My partner and I enjoyed this spot. While we did not get the waffle, our dishes were still delicious. It's the first time I've had chilaquiles and it was amazing. At first I was reluctant to have feta cheese on it (because I prefer cotija cheese) but it was still delicious. Both cheeses are good. The cilantro also added a nice fresh flavor. As for the eggs, I didn't finish them. I love sunny side up eggs but I felt like the two different flavors didn't go together. I STILL ENJOYED MY MEAL. My partner enjoyed his omelette as well. I'm not too sure what was in his omelette (though the menu does describe what's inside). It was very packed, even on a Thursday. The wait wasn't that long, maybe 5-15 minutes. Service was nice, everyone was kind even with the stress of a packed restaurant. It was also a very cute restaurant. Small and cute. I would definitely go back again... especially for the chilaquiles.

his spot really does breakfast right. The food was amazing. Everything came out fresh, hot, and full of flavor. We came for brunch and were not disappointed one bit on that front. That said, be prepared for a wait. They're only open from 7 to 2, and it was packed. We were told 15 minutes, but it ended up being closer to 40, and we stood outside in the rain the whole time. The restaurant itself is quaint and the deals were good despite the $0.50 per egg increase during our egg shortage.

We often go on the weekends. This has become one of our local favorite places. The weight is generally very short if at all. The food is great. The service is wonderful. Always a lot of happy local people. Just enjoying visiting and a good breakfast. I highly recommend it.

The food was so gooood, I had chilaquiles, the staff was accommodating and answer all of our questions, made substitutions on certain ingredients for my kids. The "eggspensive" on my bill took me for surprise, I wish it was included as part of my meal. No need to be reminded of our economy, we get it. Aside from that will definitely be back to try a different dish.

Upon entering the restaurant, my wife and I were immediately greeted and seated. The location is very old school but the interior was up to date. It had a cool feel to it. Like it has been there for decades.The selection of food items on the menu were plenty. We went with the chicken and waffles. Be sure to get the homemade chicken breast!! It was amazing. Waffle was fluffy and crisp! I will definitely include this place to our go to breakfast diner list! read more

Chefs not tasting- bland food: The restaurant was full and had many people waiting when we arrived without a reservation. More people were constantly coming in and out. We had a short wait and were seated at a good table. The waitress got the order in and we patiently Waited for the food. Food was cooked properly and portions were generous. Ambiance was pleasant, and there were no noise disturbances even with many people and kids mostly due to the high ceilings. Rating here reflects proper cooking but note that absolutely no seasoning, spices, herbs or butter were used in the eggs or food whatsoever. No salt and or pepper was added to hash browns. No salt , no seasoning at all used in the breakfast burritos or omelette. All food devoid of any high quality oils such as olive oil or butter. Overall I'd say it's a solid place to eat breakfast but will always fall short of taste due to no seasoning, no herbs, and no high quality butter or oils. No citrus used in the guacamole. Salsa was store bought. Cheese little to no flavor. This place could easily be a 5 star if the cooks were taught to season the food. A simple fix if the team is willing to season!!! My advice would be to reduce portions and increase use of high quality ingredients while keeping costs lower. It is highly unlikely I would return when I can make a better tasting meal at home. If this establishment can simply learn to taste the food - all will be well. Cooks please taste your food it's f****** bland dude! read more

So I have to be honest, we were very disappointed when Awful Annie's left this location. It took us a long time to come around to going here but we are glad we did. I mean the inside is just about the same, the service is just about the same and the food was on point. At the table we had a waffle with strawberry cheese cake, French toast and a huge omelette. All were very tasty and I made sure I tried it all. I enjoyed coming here. It brought back memories and I think we got past our stubbornness of Annie's leaving. We will be back soon. =) read more

Ambience is really nice in the restaurant. The hostess and servers are really friendly and welcoming. I came in on a Friday around lunch time. Only waited 10 minutes before they seated for 3. I had the chicken and waffles. The waffles were nice and fluffy. The chicken was nicely seasoned on the outside. Definitely a great spot to have a nice date or brunch with parents. read more

My daughter and I stopped in for breakfast this morning and unfortunately we were disappointed. I asked for a well done omelette but it was not cooked throughly on the inside. They remade it but it came back worse and we both received country potatoes that were under cooked and cold. Overall we were not impressed; however, when we went to pay the bill and the lovely lady at the front counter asked how our meal was I told her. To my surprise she took the receipt and handed me back my credit card apologized and said that she would let the cook know. We were not expecting that and I thank her (I don't know her name) for asking but more importantly I thank her for caring enough to comp our meal because I would have just paid it even though both meals we not prepared well. Will we go back? Not sure but appreciate her just the same. read more

Awesome little breakfast joint! If you judge a place by their coffee like I do then this is your spot! It opens at 7am. Bonus. So many choices & specials. I had the Tri tip Benedict. My eggs were poached perfectly & the yolks were a beautiful orange so you KNOW they use fresh eggs. Hubby had the waffle with bacon inside & HOT cherries on top. Excuse the half-eaten photos. Chicken and Waffles? Gotta have two things - crispy and fresh (both items). Excellent quality, crispy fresh chicken (Breast, Thigh, and Leg) 4 solid stars! The Waffle was Crispy, Fresh, and surprisingly light - 4 more solid stars. Coffee? Very good, piping hot - tasted like a nice medium roast. Again 4 solid stars. I'll be back. Today is the first of many times I will patron this restaurant. My go to breakfast is the country fried steak and I really appreciate it when the restaurant uses a real piece of beef instead of the processed piece that you get from other places. The batter could be crispier but that was the only con. I have no qualms of seasoning to taste. The portion was good the server was great and the food comes out fast. Definitely a great experience. I forgot to take pictures of the food but I will next time. read more

I will admit I was hesitant based on some reviews, but we decided to try for ourselves. We are masked and vaccinated and upon arrival for brunch the restaurant was very busy. We considered leaving altogether. Instead I asked if they would mind seating us in the upper level (which was empty). They politely accommodated us, so that got us off to a great start. The food came very quickly and was quite decent. I couldn't try any of the exciting options due to several food allergies and sensitivities, namely gluten, however my eggs over easy, hashbrowns and bacon were all cooked to perfection. They do have gf toast. Our server was so polite and friendly, and completely gracious about going up and down the stairs for us, and we left a nice tip. Also the decor is fresh and stylish. We will be return customers. Caveat: Staff are not masked if that is a concern for you. read more

Just found this little gem! I got the country fried steak with hash browns and over easy eggs. The steak is huge and absolutely delicious! Came with a side of biscuits and gravy which I couldn't finish (it's a lot of food). Affordable for the amount of food you get. Super friendly service. We were greeted immediately and seated. Robbin was our server and she was friendly and helpful helping us order. Served our food pretty quick and it was fantastic! Can't say anything bad about this restaurant. Great food and awesome staff. I got recommended to try the chicken sandwich, and I chose the mushroom chicken sandwich, has teriyaki glaze avocado and swiss!! Gormet!! Five star sandwich folks!!! So delicious!! I got the apple cinnamon waffle combo. Came with the waffle topped with apple pie filling, whip cream, cinnamon, butter and syrup on the side with 2 eggs and bacon or sausage! To start the I would have given this place at least four stars if it where not for the following and I hope the owners are reading the yelps because its a pretty easy fix. The food was surprisingly good. Both of us very much enjoyed our lunch choices. The waitress was efficient and polite. The decor is cute and welcoming. The lower rating is for the blasting country music with loud advertisements in between very ( to me) annoying songs. At the least please upgrade to no ads and its best to play a variety of easy listing songs. It takes away from the meal/experience if Diners are forced to listen to one genre they would not choose. Some of the staff is young so lack of experience likely accounts for the other star minus but it is not Ok to sweep around your table and spray air born cleaner on tables next to you whilst carrying on private conversation with other staff while one is eating. There was plenty of time for clean up to close. If those two things can be worked on I would return. read more

Came here for brunch one Saturday. The service and ambiance were excellent. I ordered the chicken and waffle. The waffle was great but the chicken was so soggy and I was so disappointed because I cannot eat it. I had to ask for the chicken to be refried to make the breading crispy. read more

The pork belly sisig was great, and consisted of shredded browned pork belly with a side of pickled veggies over a bed of rice, with a fried egg and two pieces of lumpia, garnished with a touch of diced white onion. Very tasty. I ordered the Jasmine Tea boba. Pro-tip: you can ask for less sweet on the teas. He customized my milk tea at 50% sweetness. I look forward to coming back to try the pork adobo, order more lumpia and try the spam musubi. It's been awhile since I've had good Filipino food! I grew up in a very culturally diverse area and missed these dishes, so I'm stoked to have this available right down the street from my work. Menus are displayed above the counter, but they also have paper menus. There are 6 tables outside with large umbrellas & a couple of small tables along the outer window. Inside, there are tables for 2 or 4 with connected chairs, but there are 2 moveable chairs at the table by the fountain drinks. Napkins, plastic utensils, & packets of Parmesan & red pepper flakes were self-accessible. Self-serve fountain drinks were Coca-Cola products. They played 80's & 90's music. Nickelodeon cartoons were on a TV in the corner. A really nice touch is that they have complimentary coloring books, crayon boxes, & stickers for kids. We noted that customers bus their own tables. Since our initial visit, they updated their menu to have chicken items. Also, some of their former specialty burritos were no longer displayed, but are part of their "secret menu". Our burrito order included Pepperoni, Hawaiian, Chicken Bacon Ranch, & Margherita (from the secret menu) with added chicken. We also got a Kids Pepperoni Burrito Meal & were able to substitute a bottle of apple juice for the fountain drink. The food orders came out slightly staggered when ready, served piping hot on metal trays. We got Ranch & Marinara side saices, which were served cold. Everything was satisfyingly delicious! They're quite aware that for the kids meal, the gelato will be requested at the end, so you just approach the counter afterwards & they remember. The kiddo got a generous helping of their cookies n cream & mint chip with a cookie straw because they were finishing off their current supply. They have plans & new equipment to start making their own gelato in-house. Staff was friendly, helpful, patient, & checked in on us to ask about our experience.

Sitting area is clean and has plenty of table, and a self serve soda fountain. Gal who took my order was very nice , and had great suggestions regarding which to try. Whenever I'm near either location I make a point to stop by to enjoy a meal or pick up take out to enjoy at home. While a fresh bowl of ramen in the restaurant is always the best experience, their take-out options are packed well and reheat nicely. I'll often warm up ramen the day after I pick it up and it's such a nice treat to have at home. The Lincoln location has plenty of parking and once you're inside you head up to the kiosks to order for dine in or carry out. Definitely take a look through the menu, they have a variety of ramen options, including soupless ramen, rice bowls, and appetizers. They also have a variety of drinks, and I noticed on my recent visit that this Lincoln location has alcoholic options. My favorite order is their spicy tonkatsu ramen- the broth is so rich, there's a perfect amount of spice, and it hits every mark for me. Honestly, I didn't truly appreciate good ramen until I tried Umami Ramen and now this is the standard that I judge all other ramens by. We also typically order their karaage chicken and I pick up and onigiri or two (the tuna is my favorite). Everything on the menu is great though and I'd recommend trying anything that sounds yummy at the moment. There is plenty of seating and I love that the restaurant is decorated with plenty of fun posters, art, and even figurines to look at. They also have a shopping area for Japanese snacks, toys, drinks, desserts and a claw machine. A pro tip is to check out their specials- when I visited they had a $25 special for a small appetizer, ramen, and drink. It was a great deal! They also have the option to adjust your ramen by leaving off certain items or ordering extras- I usually get extra bamboo shoots for $2 (it's a generous portion of them) and their eggs are AMAZING- if you're a fan it's definitely worth ordering an extra. The staff here is also so kind, if you're having trouble deciding they're happy to help and can ring you up if your prefer ordering with them. They also always make sure I have water when I dine in and pack my to-go orders with such care. I highly recommend both of Umami Ramen's locations and hope they open a third closer to me so I can go all the time. For now, I'm happy to travel though!

The broth here is rich, bold, and packed with flavor...some might find it intense, but for me it's a total chef's kiss. You can choose thick or thin noodles, and I always go for the thick ones because I love that extra bounce. I ordered the Black Garlic Ramen because garlic is one of my love languages. My husband went for the Spicy Tonkotsu and was sweating bullets by the end of the meal, but he still cleaned his bowl! The chashu pork was a little dry on this visit, but the broth, noodles, and all the toppings still made for a delicious and satisfying meal. Bonus: They're currently offering FREE gyoza with every ramen order! If you're looking for a hearty, flavorful bowl of ramen, check them out. Just don't question my decision to eat hot soup during a heat wave.

It's in a busy plaza, but there's plenty of parking available. Inside is decorated nicely and has plenty of seating, and I was greeted right away. I ordered take out at the counter and while I was there they were offering lunch portions in addition to their regular portions. I ended up ordering Thai Tea, Tom Kha Soup, Green Curry (lunch portion) and Pad Eggplant (full order) along with rice to go with the Pad Eggplant. The lunch portions are a bit smaller, but come with rice, while the regular portions are larger and a bit more expensive and rice is extra. I took a seat and waited for my order. They brought my Thai tea out right away and I sipped on it while I waited. The tea was tasty and had good flavor without being overly sweet. As I waited there were a bunch of people stopping in to pick up take-out orders. It didn't take too long to receive my order and it was well packed- in fact, since I ordered my Tom Kha soup with tofu and chicken they even had an extra small container so the full portion, with add ons would fit. I thought this was very considerate. All the food was still hot once I returned home and it was packed very securely. My favorite was the Pad Eggplant, on the menu it's listed as choice of: Chicken, Pork, Beef, Tofu, Mixed Vegetables, Shrimp, or Calamari | Stir-fried eggplant, bell peppers, carrots, onions, green onions, sweet basil, and your choice of protein sautéed in Grandma's special sauce. The Grandma's special sauce is the reason I ordered it and it was delicious. The veggies were fresh, the sauce was flavorful, and I ordered mine with pork and it was great. The green curry was good, but didn't blow me away- this is something I typically order at Thai restaurants and the curry had a very soupy consistency that was thinner. The veggies were fresh and delicious, and didn't soak in the curry flavor, they held their own fresh veggie flavor. I prefer my curries thicker, but it was still tasty. The Tom Kha soup was also good, but again thinner than my favorite spots and lighter in flavor. I also noticed they had slices of ginger in the soup which leant to flavor but between picking out the ginger and bay leaves there was more pieces that could have been removed by the restaurant instead of serving them. I would go back to try more items from the menu, and would definitely get the Pad Eggplant again.

Alright Slimes, here's the deal. This place's food is GAS. Some of the best breakfast you'll ever have.
