They are all very nice and you are seated at a large table, which then you can see the chef, cooking your food! Once the chef comes in he does a few tricks, which are great for kids, and cook your food! When you get hibachi, you get this delicious rice, along with vegetables and yum yum sauce! Okay, wow. So I had wanted to try this place for awhile since it's the only place like it in the area and my family has a wonderful hibachi grill near them. My husband and I went for a lunch and were the first ones seated around the grill right away. We were given our drinks and soup right away too. And then we waited. And waited. And waited. Two more customers trickled in and they were seated next to us, and had a similar experience. Then we all waited. And waited. And waited. Three more customers came in. Same experience. After waiting for maybe an hour or so total, our table was FINALLY filled up. Then they started up the grill. By this time, my husband and I were STARVING! I couldn't believe they were just going to make us wait for the table to fill up on its own! We were so hungry, we didn't really even enjoy the theatrics of the hibachi grill cooking. We just wanted our food at that point. During the meal, they refilled our drinks only once and then ignored the empty glasses the rest of the time. After getting our food, we were ignored until we chased down a waiter. Took forever to get the bill, and another eternity to get a box to take home the food. (The only good part of the meal was that the food was pretty tasty.) The couple next to us was irritated as well for having to wait so long, and said they wouldn't be returning. I have not been to a Hibachi steak house in 20 years. Decided to finally try Wasabi out after moving here three years ago. It was a lot of fun and the food was great. Good service and great chef. They have a tendency to skimp on things, presumably because they are the only place in Greenfield with this kind of food. The owner pinches pennies and it shows in the food and service. On our most recent visit, we were seated next to two people who after they got drinks had to leave before ordering. Owner helps them with their check and to go drinks, but then leaves the plates for the next guests. She finally pulled the plates when she saw me watching her. Regarding Sushi, they never include any fish roe, despite what the menu says, and get grumpy if one is to ask for it. "Nobody likes it, so we just don't put it on." The fish is reasonably fresh, but again, skimpy. Regarding hibachi, the menu still mentions a "shrimp appetizer" with all but vegetarian hibachi. You won't get it. The clear soup had a slight soapy flavor, as if the bowl wasn't well rinsed after wash. I was quizzed if I knew how to use chopsticks when I asked for them. The chef for the hibachi grill did not know his craft; his performance was awkward and the food was just OK. We've been here a handful of times over the last 5 years. I always hope it will be better, but every time we visit I'm reminded of why we usually go elsewhere. read more

POOR SERVICE!!! Usually the food is awesome, as well as portion sizes, and the waitress service is always poor. We eat at the greenfield Wasabi often, my girls order take out all the time. Tonight, they only had ONE Hibachi chef for the entire restaurant!!!!! ONE!!!! So our chef had to cook on 2 hibachi grills at the same time. I am very familiar with how this restaurant seats and serves patrons. The waitress took our order for our side of the hibachi grill, we didn't know they were short at this time! So as usual the little manager seats the other side of grill. This manager is trying to make people sit on each others laps(not very conducive to COVID restrictions, but this is how she operates! So all is well, until our chef comes out and says he is the only one, so he has to cook on both grills to feed us all(16 total). He begins to cook the rice(it is always 1st), which was ONE silver round tray! Remember he is cooking for 16! So as he is dividing all the food amongst 16 people from 1 silver tray each of rice, veggies, and meat, Usually a silver tray is used for each hibachi grill. Our table realized that our portions sizes were rather small(compared to usual portions here or at any hibachi(usually so much you have to take home leftovers! After he was finished, dividing the meat among 16 of us, I HAD ENOUGH OF GETTING SHORT HANDED ON THE HELPING SIZE, I always ordered the Wasabi extreme, which is supposed to be enough for TWO people! It comes with all the meat! So there was 1 lobster to be split between my extreme order and another guy, i got 3 pieces of shrimp, my daughter got 4, for 16 people there was 4 steaks, and my filet that comes with the extreme. 4 steaks for 2 hibachi grills, REALLY!!!! So I sought out the manager, I had her come look at my plate(which I hadn't started eating anything(cause i always wait til it is all cooked and served) I was getting a little heated in explaining my reasons for being upset. I said i wasn't going to pay $70 for my extreme meal(by the way, it used to be $50 last year). When I said this, the manager just walked away from me. At this point i couldn't even enjoy my small helpings of food. when the waitress came back to collect all our money. I said I need to talk to the manager( I was charged the full price). the manager, came to me, and asked me what I wanted to pay, I told her no more than $50, She replied, I can take 20% off your bill. I told her that wasn't enough, that would have been only $16 off the bill. So knowing the manager tries to squeeze in as many people in that she can, the other set of 2 grills had been waiting for a long time, because with only 1 chef they had to wait for our food to be done! Felt so sorry for that those folks! I realize the world we live in now, places are short, but you shouldn't provide meteorogor service. I am a nurse, we are short staffed every day, we can't say , oh well we will let this patient not get any care today because i don't have enough staff! First time I came in here. Service was good, sushi was actually very good. Ordered three rolls And a beer.. with about seven pieces left, I noticed the hair in the middle of my plate. I brought that to their attention, and they apologized and said will take that off. I honestly expected only to pay for the beer because it was the only thing that didn't have a hair in it. But when I receive my bill, they only took one roll off and I still paid $22 plus a six dollar tip, for some food that I didn't eat and it wasn't my hair. I will probably try the restaurant again, because everyone has a bad day. However not sure why I should've paid for anything minus the beer.. no plate with the hair on it should be considered edible food and should not of had to pay for it. We have been here twice in the past week. The first time we went in it took 1.5 hours before we started getting food from grill to our plates. By then your so hungry, your almost sick! The second time was on Christmas. The owner was extremely rude! We waited an hour for a table and many others walked out. We finally get seated and there is only 1 cook. He was doing a table across from ours but still needed to do the one across the room before ours! Therefore it would have been 2 hours or longer before we were going to see food on the plate! Horrible customer service! The waiter kept forgetting my husband's beer. After 20 minutes the hostess noticed he didn't have a drink nor did anyone at our table have soup or salad. After being told, our waiter brought salads. We never did get soup. The kids meal doesn't come with soup or salad. It should for the price. The cook came out after a 1/2 hour or so. Food was good, not as good as Kabuto in Greenwood. There you get more vegetables like squash and zucchini. And the rice has corn mixed in with it. Kabuto is a little less expensive also. Wonderful to have a local sushi restaurant. Can be a little cold in the sushi bar, bring a sweater. Sushi is always delicious. The drinks are a bit pricey, but most places are nowadays. They have a great sushi lunch option, the price is right. Highly recommended that. We've had the hibachi twice, it's not as good as other places, but it is good, just not quite the same ambiance. And for some reason everything (chopsticks, menu etc.) says wasabi, and has the other locations address, like the Greenfield restaurant doesn't matter. I am disappointed. Not in the food, but in the management by the owner. My husband and I visited this establishment for the first time with our two young sons. One of our sons has a potential egg allergy, however we wanted to experience the hibachi grill. Knowing eggs are incorporated in the fried rice, I asked our waiter to make sure no eggs were used in the food preparation. We also let our hibachi chef know about the allergy, and asked him repeatedly not to incorporate eggs into the dishes. He started his routine and the boys were mesmerized. The chef began to crack eggs and I became concerned. After a few minutes, I realized the chef had no intentions of creating a non-egg dish. I discreetly approached our waiter and the owner and asked if they could recreate a dish in the kitchen for our son. A mistake on their part should be fixed in my mind. I wasn't upset and just thought the chef had forgotten due to his normal routine. The owner questioned why I hadn't let our waiter or chef know. I informed her that I had told both several times. She reluctantly agreed to make another dish in the kitchen. While we were waiting, the chef tried to put the egg fried rice, chicken and vegetables that had been contaminated with the egg protein our our son's plate. We repeatedly put our hands in front of the plate and told him our son could not have eggs. The chef served our other son and he eagerly began eating his food. Fifteen minutes later after everyone except my egg allergy son had their food, our waiter approached me and said his boss wanted him to take the plate of food our other son was enjoying, or we would have to pay for the recreated dish and the dish in which they made the mistake. I was in shock at the absurdity of this demand. The waiter took the plate from my son, who is 4, and abruptly and left. My four year old was left confused and hungry. Ten minutes later a new non-egg dish was delivered. The boys quickly ate and then we left. I am understand people are not fully aware of the severity of egg allergies, but to take a perfectly good dish from a 4 year old just to toss it in the trash due to a mistake on the restaurant's part is absurd. My four year old didn't deserve to be treated that way. We will not provide any more business for this unreasonable company. I've also let our friends and family know of the poor management and business practice. Very disappointed. read more

Big fan of this place. It's great to have access to good sushi in Greenfield. We normally sit back in the sushi bar and the chef is always very friendly. The sushi is good. My wife doesn't like sushi, but loves their basic soup and salad. The only thing they can improve is the cleanliness of their bathrooms. They are dark and dirty. Nothing to write home about and we definitely will not be coming back for the food unless we can't find any other nearby option for hibafhi/sushi. Decent Japanese steakhouse. In my opinion it's not one of the better ones but it's nice for a small town. One thing that drive me crazy during the last visit there was the girl working to bus tables when done was the most annoying person ever.
