    Branzino
    Robert M.

Had an excellent dinner. Started with lots of sharing: Mediterranean octopus, halibut ceviche, mushroom agnolotti, and the star - broiled scallop in the shell. For entree I had oak roasted branzino and several others all had olive oil poached northern halibut. Everything quite good. Desserts we tried were coconut cream pie and banana basque cheesecake. Server was charming but had some mixups and very late food deliveries; however, atmosphere trumped that and it was very good night for multiple birthdays celebration.

WHAT A VIEW!!!! This place is a dream! We sat outside (in my opinion best seats) there were overhead heaters to help if it's chilly. The oysters chefs selection was perfect! The garlic noodles were my favorite!! I loved enjoying my delicious food with an amazing view!

Waterbar delivered!! Our whole fish was absolutely delicious. Tons of flavor. One of the best meals we had while visiting San Francisco. Amazing views of the bay bridge. Our waiter was very nice and had a ton of great recommendations for food and drinks. Definitely recommend checking out this place. They are delivering some of the freshest seafood in SF.

A solid four star dining experience. Not great to be a five and not terrible enough to be a three. The views and the staff are what saves it from three star territory for me. I highly recommend reservations. I made reservations two weeks in advance-visiting from out of town-and saw people being turned away or told it would be a long wait. Even though I had 5pm reservations and I checked in at 4:50, I wasn't seated until 5:05. I got a seat near the window so I could see the waterfront and all the passing dogs! I love dogs! But the down side of the window were all the flies that were on it. At least six flies that I had to keep waving away from my food and face. The food was fine. Nothing great at all. The salmon was good and the filet mignon was good but way overcooked even for a medium. The sauces were really good though! They do have their sauces dialed in on their appetizers and sides. I had the ricotta and artichoke app and cauliflower side.

We decided to dine outdoors for the first time, and the experience was nothing short of delightful as we had Stefon as our server. He was exceptional and made my visiting family feel special and well taken care of. The warm weather and stunning views made for a memorable evening. Waterbar is a go-to destination for my out-of-town family and friends, thanks to its exceptional food and impeccable service. The view of the Bay Bridge is simply irresistible, making it a must-visit for special occasions or romantic dates. If you're traveling from the East Bay, the ferry ride to the ferry building is only a 10-minute walk. However, parking across the street is available, but unfortunately, their valet service is no longer available.

I saw this place in a TikTok review and decided to come here for dinner with my wife. People definitely come here for the atmosphere and the beautiful view. We had an outdoor table, and even though it was a little chilly, the heaters kept us warm. The food wasn't anything particularly special, though. I'd definitely come back for a glass of wine and dessert.

Visited on a Saturday for happy hour that starts at 2:30pm. Waited 25 minutes to be seated outside. It was worth it for the view of the Bay Bridge. Ordered 2 dozen oysters at $1.55 each. Note to self, 1.5 dozen is enough for 2. Oysters came out relatively fast after ordering. A bit annoying to pick out tiny shell pieces. No happy hour drinks except for M-F.

Waterbar is beautifully set on the water in San Francisco waterfront area. We were there for the oysters. Wow so many good varieties. All were fresh and perfect! I'm from east coast so it's nice to get some west coast oysters. We had 3 dozen We also had the grilled octopus over hummus. Delicious Highly recommend the Waterbar for great seafood, beautiful atmosphere and lively view!

We recently celebrated a Birthday and had a perfect view of the Water front. We had showed up on time for our reservation and were greeted by friendly Hostess and Servers. The Oysters and Cauliflower were our starters and a few Adult beverages. We had a Glass of House Chard and a Short Straw which was a Strawberry whiskey libation. We also ordered Milk bread and a side order of Garlic noodles. I had ordered the Miso Black Cod and Wifey ordered the Halibut. The older kiddo ordered the Filet Mignon and everything was portioned and tasted great. Our Server Marco was on point and made sure we had everything we needed. He even offered up a Tres Leche Bday dessert which was complimentary. A nice view and great ambiance made it the perfect Birthday venue for a celebration dinner. The Food was also the star of the experience.

I had really high hopes for this place :( We didn't have reservations and they were able to accommodate us for 2 people. We ordered and unfortunately they forgot about us. It was about 1:30 min later until we said something about not getting our food and another 1:30 min later until they said that the order didn't go through and gave us milk bread as an apology. The milk bread lacked in flavor and was hard in texture. The octopus was very delicious to me I was head over heels. The inside is obviously beautifully decorated with amazing view of the bridge. I would rate higher but the service was just so poor I don't know how a high class place like this doesn't check up on tables or notice that we've been unattended to for 2 hours.

How fun! Okay, disclaimer I've only been during happy hour and all my friends have only been during happy hour, but it's a HAPPY HOUR indeed. Lovely views. Great decor. Very relaxing, yet fun place. Service is warm and hospitable. Wonderful all around! $1.55 oysters, cheapest in town?? And a lovely selection of wine. Try the stag's head Sauvignon Blanc if you haven't yet. Great pairing. Happy Hour: everyday 2:30-5:00pm. Go, you deserve it.

We celebrated a birthday here and could not have been more happy with their food and service. We enjoyed octopus, salmon, whole branzino - all were paired beautifully with sides on the plate and the flavors were delicious. The restaurant is beautiful without being stuffy and we had the best time! Will definitely return!

Really expensive. Just ok. Service was very slow - all in all about 2.5 hours for dinner. Starters - little gem salad, fine. Octopus, not great - first bite was good and thereafter overcooked and just ok. The sea bass was great, specially the cabbage. The branzino - tons of bones - we didn't eat it. The short rib - pretty good. Cheesecake with banana - no bueno. All in all a very expensive dinner - just ok

High ratings, few reviews, but we were adventurous and decided to try it, glad we did. Ingredients is on a corner, looked relatively new from the outside LED "Open" sign prominent in the window. Once we walked in, however, we entered a different world from what we were expecting. Luxurious mustard seats, lots of tables for four, seating with high gray bench banquettes, reminding me of a 70s tune ("Diamonds in the back..."); retro vibe elegantly done with modern lighting and sconces. Not cheesy by any stretch, but in a neighborhood place you could wear sweats or a suit to eat at. Our waiter was Jackie, an enthusiastic young man who seemed like he wasn't just there to wait on tables. Throughout the evening he was easy to chat with while being knowledgeable about his food he served without being condescending. He made someone unfamiliar with the menu feel new-to-us dishes weren't going to be an experiment. We ordered the beet salad, the 8 ounce hamburger with fries, the mushroom risotto, and on Jackie's recommendation the Nepal BBQ ribs. In the meantime they served us house made brioche buns-warm, soft, delicate and chewy, flaky; reminded me of Texas Roadhouse buns, but far better. Served with a little olive oil and balsamic in a separated dish, you could eat them plain and enjoy the craftsmanship of baked excellence. We wanted more but in retrospect we would've been filled up with brioche and not enjoyed the meal. Tough choice. The roasted beet salad, served with shaved fennel, a beet balsamic jus, and an apple-citrus slaw that was fresh, sweet with hints of citrus offset by the fennel so it wasn't cloyingly sweet. The textures were enjoyable-the softness of the beets with the crunch of the fennel slaw, we anxiously cleaned the plate! Next came the risotto and the burger. What was enjoyable was the mushroom risotto-a refreshing presentation of toothsome Arborio, creamy yet firm, interplaying with a variety of mushrooms that immediately became one of the better risotto we've had, texturally excellent, not one note like most risotto, it came out hot but not searing; deft hands created a concoction that kept us going back for more. The burger was simple, cooked medium, but one of the best we've had in a very long time. We should qualify the burger as a cheeseburger as we were given a choice- bleu cheese or cheddar, we chose the bleu cheese and it was a good choice, just the right amount complimenting the veggies that came with burger. Oh, the fries-skinny, perfectly fried they stayed equally crunchy from first to last, served in a mini fry basket that was cute but it also showed they meant business, these fries were better than that Irish fast food place, and aren't they the iconic standard of French fries? IMO Ingredients is now the new standard. They were served with house made ketchup, excellent with or without. The ribs came last originally accompanied by a Mac and cheese but since we ordered risotto they served the ribs separately with a slaw. The ribs were fall-off-the-bone, but a little more savory than sweet , served with just enough sauce to accompany the ribs without being messy, easy enough to eat using knife and fork, the kicker was a hint of five spice, subtle enough if it's in your background, but not an annoyance if it's not. Flavorful, hearty, filling, delicious, We ended our meal with a homemade "apple pie," a creation made of thinly sliced apples, perhaps poached, with cinnamon, cardamom, allspice, along with fresh fruit, and a yummy scoop of "creamy"mango sorbet. Lots of surprising good vibes-no crust, all apple, not heavy; the mix of spices played well with each other; mango sorbet wasn't icy like sorbets tend to be, the fresh fruits added a touch of freshness to the dish that could have been sweet-centric, but not. A delicate yet satisfying end to a delicious meal. We met the chef, Sok, at the end of our meal, who had his culinary training n Kathmandu and expanded his repertoire in his world travels. He definitely knows how to elevate a good meal, and his Nepal and French influences add an understated flair to what he cooks. Sok takes tremendous pride in what he presents to the diner, evidenced by who he hires, and how each dish is presented. Dining in Ingredients is gratifying, from the dining room to the staff to the dishes themselves. More people should give Ingredients a try, a gem of a neighborhood find, a rarity in SF! Thank you so much, we have a new favorite restaurant!

We had allergies and vegetarians for our party, and they accommodated easily. I'm a sucker for places with rotating menus, and would 1000% come here again to try their other foods! I was satisfactorily full, as I felt like the four plates were just a bit larger than tapas size. The mid-August options I'd chosen were - minestrone soup (4/5) - calamari risotto (5/5) - crispy pork schnitzel (3/5) - chamomile panna cotta (5/5) - buttered sourdough (5/5) The minestrone soup had a great creamy base with the mousse on top. Calamari risotto was delicious, creamy, soft rice, and it had a rich seafood flavor. You can tell the chef added plentiful seafood and the calamari was chewy. Crispy pork schnitzel came with a delicious mustard jus, just a little too salty for my liking. Chamomile panna cotta was probably my favorite, creamy with a subtle chamomile flavor that made it a great ending for the meal. The only thing is the timing of the food coming out was a bit slow, as there were intervals of 30 minutes in between courses. Otherwise service was exceptional and always made their rounds refilling our wine and water!

Came with a few friends later in the evening on Sunday as a walk-in and was seated within about 30 minutes. We started with the duck egg shakshuka, which was excellent. Rich without feeling heavy, with great texture throughout. The bread was perfect for scooping everything up, and our server brought us more after we finished the first round--a small but appreciated touch. The Yaya's fried chicken had great flavor, but at $33, it felt a little underwhelming for what you get. Well-seasoned and enjoyable, just not as memorable as the rest of the meal. The pork chop was the standout and easily one of the best I've had recently. Corn was in season, and the pairing worked beautifully. The pork was cooked perfectly and consistently flavorful throughout. The meal reminded me a bit of Liholiho, so I naturally compared the two. Based on my most recent visits, Nopa takes the win right now. Similar energy and style of food, but Nopa felt more consistent overall, with phenomenal service to match. Would absolutely come back, especially for the pork chop and shakshuka

The waitress finally brought by water and then left. At around 10:15 my fiancee went back inside to let them know we wanted to order food, the waitress still never came, the bartender decided to come out and take our order herself and you could tell she was not happy. We also had 4 drinks all together 2 for me 2 for my fiancee and the bartender tried telling him we couldn't order more than 3 drinks in an hour, 2 drinks with dinner seems pretty normal. The waitress then came back around 10:20 to tell us they were closing soon. Overall an okay experience. If they could get better servers and bartenders it would be a great location, amazing food and views. I also won't forget to mention the host was very very nice and even offered us blankets when it got windy.

From now until October, Timbri Hotel's rooftop bar: Rise Over Run is hosting R&B Wednesdays. Rezzies are highly recommended. Book a table at the garden patio - IMO, it's the best seats in the house. Ok, yea it's in the TL right off 6th/Market....not in the nicest area. IMO, the TL is not as bad as some make it to be. In my experience being born and raised in the city, people in the TL say "Hi" and keep to themselves. M E N U Small New American Menu: Small bites (salad, deviled eggs, mini crab rolls, etc), spreads w/ pita bread, burger, fried chicken, fish & chips, steak frites, etc. They advertise food and drink specials for the event but there was none. No HH either. 5% SF surcharge (not noted on menu). D R I N K S Limited spirit selection; wish they carried more small-batch brands. * Grey Whale Gin, shaken ($16) * Grey Whale Gin w/ club soda ($18 x3): Very stiff! Worth the $. * Diet Coke ($5 x3) A P P S * Grilled Pork Belly Skewers w/ miso glaze, pickled mustard seeds (2 pc-$12) Rich, tender, and not overly fatty. The miso's umami didn't come through so it was a bit bland. * Smoked Salmon Rillettes w/ dill, chives, pita ($12) Umm, I'm all for negative space but could they not find a smaller bowl so the rillette doesn't look half eaten? Lol! That aside, this was BOMB! The pita tasted housemade - served piping hot and perfectly chewy with a soft, fluffy interior. Slathered with the rich, creamy smoked salmon spread...it was so delicious. * Fries ($9) Can't go wrong with a huge platter of hot McD type fries. S E R V I C E Welp, this would have been a 5 star review but someone killed the vibes. Most of the staff was friendly, and our server was excellent - very attentive and efficient with drinks and apps arriving quickly. Unfortunately, as we were on our last round of drinks (I had a full cocktail left), a male staff came over and told us they need the table back in 10 minutes, and our server immediately brought the check. I was confused esp since there were two empty tables nearby and he didn't approach the other table that was seated around the same time as us. I later found the fine print on my rezzies about the 2-hour table max which wasn't mentioned when we were seated. Regardless, we still had about 30 mins left. Afterwards, I spoke with Mia at the hotel's front desk. She was very apologetic, looked into the situation right away, and kindly offered a round of drinks on our next visit. A M B I A N C E Chic and trendy with a cute glass-enclosed solarium, and sweeping views of DT and the city's skylines. Mix of tables and lounge areas with firepits and heat lamps (it's windy tho!). Clean restrooms. It was great seeing a diverse crowd for the R&B event...a refreshing change from the usual AI/Tech Bro scene in the city. P A R K I N G Limited street parking (we found parking around the corner before 5 pm). Valet is $80. Overall, we had a great time at R&B Wednesday, and I thought the prices were fair for solid apps and drinks...for a rooftop bar. It was disappointing that our evening was cut short tho. Would love to return before it's over in October but that interaction left a bad impression.

Daniel took care of us and recommended a pasta that ended up being one of the best dishes we had. His thoughtful recommendations, genuine hospitality, and warm personality elevated the entire evening and made it a truly memorable experience. We loved the mushroom taco, an incredible blend of flavors and textures. The beetroot appetizer was a brilliant, tasty idea. Sitting outdoors in the great weather was a bonus, though the indoor ambiance looks wonderful too. Unfortunately, our waitress was completely uninterested and slow. It felt like she didn't care about any tables in her section, to the point where I actually had to walk up to the reception just to get a water refill. Big kudos to the chefs for carrying the restaurant! I'd definitely give this spot another shot (or at least try their other locations and hope they have friendly staff)
