So my wife wanted to try this place out so here we are. So when you come in it's a pretty cool retro look. The customer service was good, everyone we encountered was pleasant. The food took absolutely no time to come out which is great when your a growing boy like myself So So when you walk in tables are clean and the floors which is great because I don't like a dirty spot. The only think that was clean to my liking was the napkin dispenser. (Don't know why but this was a thing that I nit picked at during my previous review as well lol guess I'm the napkin dispenser guy) Now for my wife's Rodeo Burger It was dry, there was a small dab of bbq sauce and it wasn't enough for the burger. That's saying a lot from my wife because she hates saucy things. She felt like the Burger pattie had no seasoning. Now for my Double Bacon Burger I like my food saucy and I definitely felt it could have been just that. I would have been happy with a secret sauce a cheese sauce or even more ketchup. The patties were to thin for me, I'm a big boy and that was not filling for me. I also agree with my wife the Burger needed more seasoning/flavor. The cheese on my burger wasn't even melted. Our first time to try this place and we will not return for sure nor recommend. I got the single burger and hubby got the double. Certainly nothing to write home about and they were small so I could have eaten a double. We had French fries and hubby had a small shake, I had tap water. $31. After I was still hungry so got a small shake for $8.11 Honestly the shakes were as thin as water, never have I had such a thin shake. Don't waste your money here. read more

The fam and I ordered Wayback Burgers via UberEats. We ordered the Double Bacon Burger, Cheesesteak, onion rings and a large order of Cajun tots. The total with tip was $45. We were both surprised that the value received was not quite to our expectation. The Double bacon cheeseburger had absolutely NO bacon on it! (Huge disappointment!) I was unfortunately disappointed with our first visit to Wayback Burgers. We were looking forward to it finally opening...I'm still hoping they might be working out some kinks from being so new. My husband's Cheeesy burger was the only good entree we had. At first I thought they had made a mistake and brought me a grilled chicken sandwich instead of crispy, but then I realized the skin of the chicken was very tough, but not crispy, and I don't think it was a mistake. Not what I was expecting. We also ordered an additional cheeseburger to go and there was a lot of mayo on it. So much we had to wipe some off. The cheese and bacon fries looked delicious, but had zero seasoning. The cheese and bacon tasted as bland as the fries. The strangest thing was when I opened the to-go bag the burger was sitting at the bottom of the bag without any type of wrapping. So essentially my burger touched the bag, which hopefully was clean, but the fry boat was sitting on top of it as well. It just felt really odd to eat it after it had touched everything else. Not to mention the burgers were quite small too compared to the advertised pictures. Really wish we would have liked it! I waited 30 minutes for my food, four chicken tenders, fries, and a shake. I watched my boyfriend get his food fifteen minutes after he ordered, and I watched several takeout and drive through orders be taken care of. The shake had whole chocolate chips that you couldn't even get up through the straw, no whipped cream or chocolate on top like advertised in the menu (despite the can of whipped cream sitting right there on the counter). I ordered them thru Grubhub after I got off work. Sometimes, when it gets late, I have experienced not the greatest of food. Wayback burgers was better then most. It arrived a little after 8pm, and my Fiancee got the Rodeo burger and I got the Cheesey burger (added grilled onions...so worth it) and tater tots. The tater tots were still crunchy when we got them. The burgers were well seasoned. Only complaint is they are kind of small for the price. We each ordered a milkshake. According to drive, they did not have a cup holder, so they put tin foil on the top of the cone shaped lid. We put them in the freezer for a little while as the felt very "liquidy". The other day my family and I were rating top 3 best french fries in the area. This was way before I tried Wayback Burgers for the first time today. I'll admit, I kept passing them up, because the lifeless photos were not appealing and lets just say I live by the motto "we eat with our eyes first", and yelpers are always throwing me off with their undeserving reviews, so I reluctantly tried the 4.7 rated burger joint. To my pleasant surprise, WB has blown my socks off! I just moved to Texas and can say Texans sure know how to season their fries well. I love the beefy ness in WB's fries and the perfect amount of seasoning and crispiness. I've been craving buffalo chicken for 3 months and WB comes in a very close winner take all between Cover 3's buffalo chicken sliders. I had to give it to WB, because of the crispy, crunchy breading of the chicken. Their burger patty is fresh, not frozen. The big easy was so juicy! I was impressed and will be returning again and again. The front cashier/order taker even came to my table to ask how the food was. Very unexpected for a fast food joint. That's how you stay in business. Great service! Food is going downhill. New employees are not reading orders correctly. If you want cajan tots you get regular tots, no cajan. Sizes are wrong. Under-frying fry's and tots. Burgers are still ok. It seems like every time I come here it's always something. I tried to come one morning for breakfast bc they have that huge sign that says Breakfast here but when I went to the speaker box it said they were closed and it was 10:30 in the morning. I just tried to come by today around 6 and I wasn't familiar with the menu. My husband arrived at the store to find it completely locked up, no staff, closed drive thru, but no sign stating what is was closed for-like for Labor Day or forever. The lady taking our order was friendly! For four people (one is a child)our order was over $60 after they did the dreaded spin around of the register to ask for a tip. A tip at a fast food place that I stand in line to order and then pick my food up from the counter. The sign on the door said no public restrooms but I haven't encountered that to mean customers at a restaurant have no access to a restroom to at least wash their hands prior to eating. The restaurant was nearly empty.. only two other customers and our food took quite a long time to come out. We had to take our food to go since they don't offer customers a place to wash hands. Waited a long time for this place to open as I believe they were the first in the strip center to put up their signage. Unfortunately it was quite a disappointment all around. We ordered the rodeo burger which looked nothing remotely close to the one in the picture. A create your own double burger, chicken tenders, and o-fries. Both burgers were a bit on the dry side and as you can see from the pics on the rodeo burger the cheese was hard and only partially melted. Looks like they might put the burger in a microwave or something to try and melt the cheese which would explain the meat being dry. I'm guessing this is why they offer a bunch of sauces to try and moisten up the burger a little bit. The chicken tenders were a chunk of white meat, hard and also dry. I appreciate using white meat chicken, but if I'm going to eat fried tenders there is no point in trying to make them healthy. I'd prefer moist tender fatty chicken if I'm eating tenders. If I wanted healthy chicken I'll order grilled chicken, not tenders. For the price and quality of the burgers I would personally prefer Steak n' Shake where you can get a triple burger and fries for $3.99 or Mighty Fine where you get a much higher quality bigger burger for around the same price. We shared an order of Irish nachos, homemade tater chips covered in cheese, jalapenos, chili and chopped onions, and a classic burger, the burger meat was tasty and had lots of flavor, the bun was a star in it's own right. Wayback Burger opened about one week ago in a new strip mall near University Ave and FM1460 in Round Rock. I checked out their website which features a "horseradish butter burger" that looked delicious. So I gathered some friends and we headed out to Wayback last night. It is a very small burger shop with limited seating. They do a large delivery business as well. We walked up to order and I promptly ordered the horshradish butter burger featured on their website but they had no idea what I was talking about. I showed Haley, the very friendly order taker, the website photo but she was not aware of it. The manager was also in the dark. Very disappointed but nevertheless, we all ordered burgers and fish sandwiches. The burgers got rave reviews, albiet no horseradish, but the fish sandwich was under cooked inside. My husband is very picky about hamburgers, but he really liked the Wayback Classic (2 patties). Nice size hamburger! He couldn't even finish it all! I ordered the Craft UR own, so I could get only one patty. It was delicious! I took the onions off & hubby ordered w/o onions.
