Went to get a green bagel and it was hot and tasty . Fast service And ambiance is good .

As a customer of this bagel shop for over twenty-five years, I can honestly say that the bagels here are delicious, fresh and tasty. They offer numerous options for fans of bagels like myself. The whole wheat bagels with no cream cheese are my favorite of them all. Shop employees are very friendly, hard working and ready to assist the minute a customer walks through the front or side doors. Tip: if you don't want too much cream cheese on your bagels, MAKE SURE to request easy cream cheese otherwise they will go super heavy on the cream cheese. Definitely a good option if you are the area.

I used to love this store, bagels are great, the service, and especially the guy with red hair he was the best. It always felt consistent and reliable. But lately everything has changed. Every time I go in now, it's a completely new group of people. It feels like they're only hiring teenagers who clearly haven't been trained. My order has been wrong every single visit, and on top of that, I've been overcharged three different times. One morning, I walked in and there was literally a small fire happening in the back. There were about five teenagers standing around not knowing what to do. That should've been my sign, to never come back. But today was the last straw. All I ordered was a simple toasted bagel with cream cheese, and somehow that was still wrong. The "hot coffee" is never hot , just warm . I'm really disappointed because this used to be one of my favorite spots, but the inconsistency and lack of proper training has completely changed the experience. I hope MANAGEMENT steps in soon, because it's gone downhill fast.

I love western bagel. They are always consistent no matter which location I go to. The bagels are always fresh and their lox spread is perfect ratio of cream cheese and lox pieces. I always get it open face. They are always generous with the amount of spread they put on. The turkey sandwich is also delicious. The ingredients are fresh and they put a generous portion of all the condiments and turkey.

$2.05 for a toasted buttered bagel: $1.25 for the bagel, .30 for the butter, and an additional 50 cents for...what? A buttering fee?

I just ate a burned bagel at Western Bagel. I should've turned around and walked right out when I came into the store. The smell of burnt bagels hit me in the face the moment I walked in. I hadn't been to this place in a couple of years because they never seemed to be able to do anything right. They had a tendency to burn their food. They got orders wrong. I decided to give them another chance today after a couple of years off. Once again, my onion bagel was totally burnt. I thought about taking it back in, but I figured it was futile because they would only just burn it again. My egg à la bagel sandwich didn't have the cheese melted at all. At least the person who took my order was nice. One star for service with a smile. Another star for the fact that she went and checked to make sure that she did have pumpernickel and onion bagels because they were not out on display. It's too bad that this place just can't seem to get it right. It's not a good advertisement when you smell burnt bagels the second you walk in. I will try them again in another two years and see if anything has changed.

I ordered a dozen bagels And a large tub of whipped cream cheese with Postmates. It was a way for me to thank my team at work ! When you purchase a dozen bagels, they give you a 13th for free : I had the chance to try the whole wheat one, and the everything bagels seeds one, they were so fresh and so moist, I enjoyed it tremendously! Whipped cream cheese is very tasty and light ! I highly recommend that place for bagels

I've been coming here since I was a kid! I love how festive this location gets with every holiday season. Service is always so great and I've never experienced them messing up my order. There aren't too many bagel shops in the SFV, but Western is always great in a pinch if you are looking to bring bagels to the office, or cater an event. I think their lox, produce and cream cheeses are solid. Their breakfast sandwiches are quick and hit the spot. They also have a selection of pastries and cookies available that you can take to-go as well. For some reason, my absolute favorite thing at Western Bagel is their hazelnut coffee. I could drink 25 cups of it in one sitting. It's always hot, has great flavor and free refills! This particular location has lots of great indoor and outdoor seating. Parking lot in the back makes it really easy to come and go. While Western is not my FAVORITE bagel in LA, it still hits the spot when I need to scratch the bagel itch.

Not sure why this place only has 3/5 stars. I've gotta say it was a top 3 bagel of my life. Everything cheese bagel with extra jalapeño cream cheese. So. Damn. Good. The bagel is SO soft and they put the right amount of cream cheese. Also had a bialy egg bagel with scallion cream cheese that hit the spot as well. For me it was the first one that did it. I could have eaten 5 of those in on sitting. Absolutely will be back and stoked to find a no frills normal priced bagel

One of the seasonal specials is the Martha which is an upgraded version of chicken salad (Tarragon chicken salad, apples, shaved fennel, arugula, basil, lemon, garlic aioli on grilled Ciabatta, $16) which sounded pretty good. I placed the order online and headed over to this busy section of Studio City. Street parking can be tricky especially in the afternoon, and there are 'parking ticketers' out in force. This was my first time here at this location, but they had a handy takeout window at the one end, and a friendly guy handed me the bag. As for the food, I could only eat half of the sandwich; one reason is because it was a Lot of sandwich and second, I didn't really enjoy this for the most part (I did give the other half to a hungry co-worker who did like it). Then my favorite part, the cookies. I ordered two orders (two come in an order) so I had four to enjoy. The first bag was a decent sized pair of cookies, but they shafted me on the second order. This was basically one cookie cut to make two which was clearly noticeable compared to the other order. I was too far to return these but next time, it's something I will check on before leaving. I didn't have this problem the first time I came here (even though it was a different location) but as for anything, I recommend checking your order prior to leaving. Otherwise, I will be returning to Ggiata but maybe for a classic Turk or Antonia, or even the arancini side-

My husband and I came on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't busy at all, although almost all the pastries were already sold out, so I'm guessing the real rush is in the mornings. Overall, I personally wasn't a fan, mainly because the drinks and most of the food felt pretty underwhelming and lacked flavor. I ordered the strawberry matcha and it was honestly the most bland matcha I've had, which is surprising considering there was strawberry puree in it. It didn't taste low quality, just very muted and not something I'd order again, especially since I get matcha (and strawberry matcha) pretty often elsewhere. My husband got the pistachio latte and liked it, but mentioned it leaned a bit too sweet for his taste. For food, we tried the breakfast bagel and I genuinely can't believe how bland it was. It had all the components you'd expect, everything bagel, eggs, cheese, aioli, bacon, and more, but somehow it just fell flat. I kept wanting to add salt or some kind of sauce to bring it to life. I actually stopped eating it because it didn't feel worth it to keep going for something so flavorless. The one highlight was the spinach quiche. I really enjoyed it and would come back for that specifically, although it did feel a little pricey for what it was. I wouldn't go out of my way to come back, but if someone else wanted to go, I wouldn't object.
