After all the hype (and now because of COVID), we finally tried this place a couple weekends ago and absolutely LOVED it...plus it is right down the street from the eye surgeon's office where I had recent eye surgery. Great location for dining after a Spring Training baseball game at Salt River Fields as well. The food was so good and we even got more sliders to go and brought them home. Went to see what all the excitement was about. I have had a White Castle before but it was from the freezer section of the grocery. I tried the burger, chicken, fish. The food was ok but not great by any means. The day we went there was about 20 people in front of us. The line moved fast. Actually only about a 10 minute wait. They have their act together. Everyone was exceptionally nice and helpful. With all that was going on the place was very clean. There was a good selection of condiments to put on the sandwiches. We came on a Thursday morning around 9:30 am and it was empty for the most part. Only a few customers. We quickly ordered and waiting around 5 minutes for our food. Their burgers taste just like the frozen ones you can buy in stores but with pickles. So if you like those, then you'll definitely like these. We have never had any from the original restaurants so we can't compare to that. Their chicken rings are better then the burgers in my opinion! Highly recommend grabbing some on your next trip. We also ordered one of each of their cake on a stick and liked them all! It's small but the perfect portion for a quick sweet after your meal. I cannot begin to explain how horrible the drive-through customer service is at this location! I believe we were 25 minutes in line with only four cars in front of us. It appeared that the people were so confused and disorganized. At one point when the front car finally left, they yelled something out the window and, the guy with the headset yelled back at them and I believe was cussing at them. Never had White Castle before other than the frozen stuff at the grocery stores so I decided to try this place out with some friends one day. The location was clean and well kept, and everything went smooth and quick. Staff was fast and friendly and great. The price is quite reasonable too!! The food is way better then the frozen stuff. They have onions in it. The frozen ones don't have that I don't recall. They have a uge variety of different stuff too. The loo was average on best. At the time it needed some picking up. Little pieces of poo paper was all over. The throne is above a common house toilet. Very nice gray theme, and decent soap. Nice smelling soap indeed. All I've heard from multiple people for months is that they want to try White Castle as they had heard amazing things, but didn't want to suffer through the wait times both in store and through the drive through. On this rainy day, we decided why not do the wait and pick up a bunch of sliders and sides for everyone to try. We placed an online order for an assigned pick up of 35 minutes later. After arriving, we entered the establishment and the employees seemed to have zero idea what they were doing and hadn't even started on our order. That was fine, things happen, and we were patient. As we sat there waiting for our food, we observed multiple people coming from the drive through line requesting items the employees had forgotten to place in their order. It seemed like there was only one guy who actually knew what he was doing. An hour later and we finally received our bag of sliders and sides. We took them back and were quite frankly, disappointed. The contemporary caste is neat. The only thing I didn't like was that there too many dirty tables. For how busy this location is there should be a person wiping down tables. Patrons should not have to do this. Since there were not any clean tables I ate outside on their Huge patio. The sliders were delicious. They do come with onions so if needed request No Onions. I had White Castle once when I was on the East Coast and I couldn't remember much about it. I got a couple of their normal sliders and the chicken and waffle slider. They asked for your name so that's how to recognize your tab - also some items like sauces have their own cart outside for easy last minute requests. As for the food itself - it's like frozen food that's fresher with slightly more effort. Most distinctive sides were probably the onion chips, but the sliders themselves are whatever. Didn't matter if it were original, fish, they were all just okay. I guess the selling point is that each individual slider is cheaper and you can buy boxes, but it's literally quantity over quality. When did White Castle quit hiring real people to take your order and have a robot voice talking to you! This was the worst experience I've had at a drive thru! Not only did the recorded voice not work and kept spinning. I had to wait 15 minutes in line and could not speak to anyone to let them know it was broken. I also couldn't back up because there were cars behind me. When I asked the lady across from me in the drive thru to let them know. she said, I can't its a recording not a person! I could flatten them down to a pancake! and while i got mine with no onions, the onion taste was strong on these. Chicken Sliders: These were the worst. Dry AF!! They use an AI/Robot ordering system that could not understand my order (one of the options clearly outlined on the menu) and had wrong pricing. I pulled around to the window and had to reorder with a person. I then waited 30 minutes in my car for my order. There was a long line behind me at this point, so I took my order and left. When I got home, the order was wrong and the food wasn't very good. To add insult to injury, the credit card charge shows as "Destination 01 Scottsdale" instead of "White Castle" and Citi linked a website for the charge to a skate shop in California.
