    Nova lox on pumpernickel
    Lana K.

An efficiently run bagel shop located in a strip mall. The interior is a simple New York style bagel spot with a few seats along the wall. As you enter, you can place an order, or pick up your online order. We ordered a whitefish salad sandwich on an everything bagel and a nova lox sandwich on pumpernickel. Both were delicious. Reminded me of the bagels I'd get in the city. Definitely a stop if craving a taste of New York.

I had the breakfast sandwich was excellent. Small interior, but had some nice outdoor seating. Lots of workers, but still took a little while to get our food which I assume is because we ordered one hot bagel. Would eat there again as it was tasty.

This is my go to bagel spot. I ordered their premium nova lox bagel sandwich with an onion bagel and scallion cream cheese. It had a very nice salty and savory taste with the capers. The tomato balanced everything out making it very refreshing. The bagel had a crisp exterior and a soft interior. It was warm, fluffy and easy to bite into. My fiancé ordered the jalapeño cheddar bagel with bacon, egg, and Texas loaded cream cheese. It wasn't too heavy. All of the flavors really complimented each other and was very savory.

11/10! Today (2/06/25) I went and had a bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel and I didn't even have to wait long. By the time I was able to find a table outside to sit they were calling my name. The place itself could use a deep clean but the overall aesthetic is warm and inviting. The drink cooler was available and full and I loved seeing the mensch on a bench! How fun! Not to mention all of the cream cheeses they have! I asked and yes they are all made by hand! ;) The staff were friendly and seemed to be having a good time. Overall a new go to for me. Thanks Wholy Bagel!

I really liked Wholy Bagel. I got an everything bagel lox sandwich. The bagel was nice and chewy and well flavored. I think I would have preferred the sandwich without tomato but that's just personal preference. The capers and onions went well with the scallion cream cheese. I think I was comparing this to New York bagels where you expect a lot of cream cheese. I would have liked just a bit more.

The bagels I had. First off, nobody makes a real pumpernickel bagel. Second. The. Lite rye bagel had a lot of large holes. The bagels whether straight dough method , starter, poolish , mother , chef or preferment, need not to have as much yeast as French bread nor a short rise time. Guess the name is what they sell now..

Best Lox bagel I've had in a VERY VERY long time!! The service was great and the employees are so so kind. Will be back for sure.

Love the selection and ambience. There was a good size line, but it went quick. Stick around...it's worth it!

The service was good but the food was not. The bagel was burnt. The bacon was way dry and crispy and the egg was over cooked.

Whether you're looking to get some work done, meet a friend, or simply people-watch, this spot checks all the boxes. The atmosphere is lively without being overwhelming, and even when it gets busy, there seems to be plenty of both indoor and outdoor seating available. I stopped in on a Thursday morning and enjoyed the chilaquiles, a latte, and one of the most beautiful raspberry scones I've seen in a while. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. The menu also deserves a shoutout for seamlessly transitioning from breakfast to lunch and even happy hour offerings later in the day. One of the highlights was how easy it was to settle in and work. The WiFi was fast and reliable, and I was able to comfortably spend about three hours there without feeling rushed. What truly stood out, though, was the customer service. Every interaction was warm, friendly, and genuine. The staff created such a welcoming environment that it genuinely elevated the entire experience. Between the great food, fast WiFi, comfortable seating, and outstanding hospitality, Jo's Coffee was the perfect way to spend a Thursday morning.

I hate to be a Yelp warrior or whatever - but for the sake of other patrons I felt compelled to say…read moresomething. I came here yesterday with my girlfriend and we split a chicken salad sandwich. As someone who doesn't typically eat chicken salad, I was unaware it could contain tree nuts. I took one bite, felt an unexpected crunch, and then felt my throat start to swell. My girlfriend asked a worker if she knew if the chicken salad contained nuts and she frantically exclaimed "oh no! I don't know!" before asking the kitchen. She then came back and said "it has pecans! Is that bad?" And I said "yes. Kinda bad" Luckily because I only had one bite and then proceeded to chew on a few Benadryl I ended up being okay and my throat and lungs were all back to normal in an hour or so, even if I had to spend my day in bed high on said Benadryl. If I had eaten any more of the sandwich though, I very easily could have ended up in the ER. All that to say - the menu does not make any mention of pecans being in the chicken salad, either in-store or online. Which is strange because tree nuts are disclosed in some of the other menu items. This feels like a bit of an oversight, no? Fellow nut allergy-havers: do you avoid chicken salad altogether? Am I ignorant for not knowing the risk of ordering chicken salad? I don't know but this did ruin a whole day for me and very easily could've cost me $2000 and a trip to the ER if I really enjoyed the taste of the sandwich. (Luckily I did not.) Sorry to leave a shady diva review for a time-honored Austin institution - the worker we spoke to seemed very apologetic and reasonably frightened. But you you've really gotta add that *contains tree nuts or your customers are gonna end up intubated. Not very cool! Feel free to send me money or whatever. Please don't send me a gift card.

This is the spot you go to if you want to hang out, in between you doing your thing (shows, bar hopping, dinner, before you go back to the hotel, etc.), and great for if and when you are solo and just want to have a good cocktail. Recently I was here before catching a show down the street a major music venue. I had my ride share drop me off here at Halcyon for some pre-game drinks before my show. I sat at the bar as I had a beer and shot combo and watched folks enjoying conversation with their friends and even saw a cool sharing smore-like plate that came out for a group sitting in the booths. Always a great spot and location to hope in and still be in the Warehouse district while having a good home base to come back to and chill the vibe out.
