My boyfriend and I call Wildfire our "Go-To" date spot. Here's why: ATMOSPHERE Deep wood, comfortable leather, and dim lighting - the perfect combination for classic steakhouse ambiance. We almost always wait for one of the bar booths. SERVICE Professional, attentive, polite, helpful. You get the vibe that the servers really like their job and want you to have a great dining experience. DRINK We always stick to beer and wine, however they have many beautiful martini's and other cocktails to choose from. FOOD It is a MUST to get the chopped salad! We split a small and it is big enough to each have 2 portions. Favorite appetizer is the scallops, however the baked short rib ravioli and stuffed shrimp are good too. For dinner we almost always get the Porterhouse. I have also gotten the Filet, which was perfectly amazing. They season their steaks well, yet still retain the flavor of the meat. The best side is the stuffed baked potato, and if they have asparagus on the menu that night - order it! I have always been too full to order dessert, but the tray they bring out is so so tempting. We leave Wildfire feeling full, happy, and content - this restaurant definitely holds a special place in our stomach's! read more

Now my boyfriend and I consider ourselves to be foodies. We like good quality food-- hate chains. So to our surprise, we find ourselves making a frequent trek out to Eden Prairie to eat dinner at Wildfire! The ambiance is perfect, kind of a classic-Chicago feel with hard wood and dim lighting. There is ALWAYS a wait, so either make a reservation early or belly up to the bar to grab a few drinks while you wait. The food is the real star of the show here. We always get the steak, and it is some of the best steak in the twin cities. I'd compare the quality to that you'd get at Manny's (even though the portion sizes are smaller.) I get the petite fillet, which comes with your choice of side. The fillet is tender and lovely-- always cooked just the way you want it. It's not tough or chewy-- just melt-in-your-mouth amazing. For your side, order the Au gratin potatoes. It tastes like if Macaroni and Cheese and Sliced potatoes had a baby-- the potatoes are just cheesy with the best crust on the top. SO SO GOOD. I've never gotten dessert, but I always see that Hot Skillet Apple Pie a la mode on the dessert tray and DAMN it looks good. Unfortunately I'm usually so full that I don't want dessert. Food I was so looking forward to this night and can't tell you how disappointing it was. The salad was under seasoned and nothing to write home about! Blah The scallops were fine, but the sauce and spinach had NO flavor Blah! My daughter had crab cakes that had NO flavor. Blah Staff Our waiter was completely in love with himself and his Humphrey Bogart style of communication. No eye contact. Might as well have been a humanoid! In fact, now that I think about it, maybe he WAS a humanoid. Hmmm Atmosphere I really like the atmosphere. The one thing I really appreciated was my friends and the great conversation we had! There was NO mention about food! Not one word. Not even about the cheesecake. That says something, don't you think?! Can't go wrong with a Lettuce Entertain You restaurant concept. No exception here. Great bar for after dinner drinks. Modest beer selection but didn't matter because they had Tito's vodka. Big score for this Texan. Decent wine list as well. Not expansive but reasonably priced for this type of restaurant. Very good spinach salad and the almond crusted Halibut they had on special was excellent. Generous piece of fish and quite tasty. Finally, the key lime people/tort was well worth the calories. read more

Easy location. Great service. Delicious food. + I had the filet medallions with 3 different crusts. I loved the mushroom. Out of all the sides we had my favorite was the roasted vegetables. Same day reservation. It was my Mom's birthday celebration and they were very accommodating, bringing out cake but not making a huge scene. read more

As a gluten free customer, I can't wait to go back! I went here for brunch on a Saturday(which doesnt start until 11am). They have an extensive GF menu and I felt very comfortable eating here. I ordered Eggs Benedict-the eggs were slightly overcooked-but who can complain about that! I was thrilled to have an amazing GF option-be warned, although they have a large GF menu, the brunch options are limited. I was also served with a side of fried potatoes(the menu didn't say this would be included). My meal was marked with an "Allergen" stick-which always provides comfort. Lastly, I am quite sensitive to wheat/gluten and did not have a reaction. Thanks Wildfire! read more

I've now eaten at Wildfire in Eden Prairie twice and I have thoroughly enjoy my dining experience both times. When I go to Wildfire, I don't go there to pinch my pennies. Simply put, it is a high end steak restaurant. If you go there, do not expect things to be cheap. Some of the items on the menu are reasonably priced and others expensive, but yummy. They bring out an onion/garlic roasted loaf of bread to the table so while you peruse their menu, salivating, you can still have something tasty to snack on. Each time I ordered the Basil Bourbon steak tips. They are super yummy when mixed with their creamy mashed potatoes loaded with tons of butter and sour cream. Let's just say this isn't a meal for the calorie counters, but boy is it delicious! I've also eaten their beet and goat cheese salad. It was very tasty, indeed. Lovely arugula paired with beautifully cooked and chilled beets, goat cheese, and Balsamic vinaigrette. Their cheesecake very easily rivals that of the Cheesecake Factory, and might be, dare I say it, better... :) I have had nothing but fantastic service at Wildfire. The servers are nice, knowledgeable about the menu, willing to give you their favorite selections, and overall helpful. The prices are more expensive, but trust me, if you want a steak done right with a fantastic atmosphere and an excellent wait staff, it's totally worth it. I've been here for the chopped salad. It's amazing. I highly recommend it. Their vinaigrette is tangy yet sweet. It's not healthy, but it's a pretty damn good salad. I call in ahead of time and get the large salad. I will have salad for 4 days (because it's that good). I do typically have them remove meat and scallions though (still delicious). read more

Great steakhouse atmosphere with comfy booths and beautiful dark wood interior. Don't be turned away at the thought of it connected to a mall. Wildfire has a great selection of food and wines to compliment. The place is a bit noisy, so if you are looking for a quite dinner this may not be your first choice. Thisis also a popular spot for business dinners as well. I highly recommend their macadamia nut crusted hailbut (flown in fresh every day) on a bed of asparagus and a side of redskin mashed potatoes or the 3 Filet Mignon Medallians special. Other yummy choices: Starter: Wood Oven Baked Goat Cheese, Tomato basil sauce w/focaccia entrees: Prime Rib and the Mushroom Crusted Pork Chops dessert: Chocolate Lava Cake, Homemade Key Lime Pie, and the Homemade Banana Coconut Pie w/caramel sauce Come to have a great meal and hit a movie at the mall to round out your night! read more

I find myself staying at a hotel in Eden Prairie for a few days for work. I check Yelp for some great reviews in the area and I find Wildfire. I had the crab cakes and the filet. I took it all back to the hotel which was literally 2 minutes away. I had food in my mouth 2 minutes after I walked out. Temp wasn't an issue. So this is all based off those two menu items (which are basically staples of a good steakhouse IMO). The crab cakes come with a... "mustard mayonnaise." Yes, that's right. Mustard and mayonnaise mixed together. Maybe a dash of lemon for good measure. Oh, by the way, this place is in a mall, so yeah... classy, I know. MUSTARD MAYONNAISE! I put that on a ham sandwich. The crab meat itself was absolutely indistinguishable from everything else. Overall it just tasted very plain, like one flavor permeated throughout. It also had a lot of filler: corn, peppers, etc. The filet was ordered parmesan crusted, cooked medium. The temp was closer to mid-well. It was one of the more tough and under-seasoned filets I've had. It was only $32, which puts it about $5 less than some of the best filets I've had, but does that make it okay? It came with one side, I got the roasted vegetable medley. The flavor of the veggies were great, highly recommended side choice. Overall, I'd say Yelp's rating example sums it up best: "Meh. I've experienced better." The best part of my $44 meal is that my hotel room now smells like delicious food! read more

Waited at the bar for our table and bartender was rude and inpatient. When asking about drinks he wasn't forth coming in being helpful. Made reference to having to make other drinks and seem he didn't want to help us. Then the waiter was rude and hard to understand and after awhile she stopped coming by to ask if we needed anything. i was on a business trip and my director had arranged dinner for the team here. i thought it was a little cramped inside compared to most steak houses but since we were in a private room, i shouldn't complain. dimmed lighting and white table cloth with heavy dinner wares.. the waiter was absolutely professional and spoke very proper english. i felt a little silly being called ma'am by a man who appeared at least 10 years my senior. our menu was already pre-set. we had both the greek salad and garden salad to start off... i think it could have used a little bit more dressing. then came the fresh mozzarella pizza, calamari and spinach dip... all to die for. then again, i love calamari =) i ordered the filet mignon- med rare - that baby came out looking like it was overcooked... but after i sliced it in half with my steak knife it was all savory from then on... yum! AND for desert, we had the triple layer chocolate cake with ice cream. i was in heaven..... moist and the vanilla cream went well... i would definitely go back! read more

We had a business dinner there on a week day. It's always pretty busy and that day was no exception. Service was good and the waiter was attentive. My cocktail - a cosmo type drink was way too sweet, I've had much better versions with a little more bite. I was not too pleased with my steak, it was way too chewy and the sauce made it too salty. Another person at my table complained about their steak too. The waiter apologized which made her think that they would bring out another steak which was prepared to her liking but no such luck, she had to make do with what she had. Since she was from the Bay Area she expected more of this steakhouse. People shared the caramel pie dessert and it was good though pretty heavy. This place is pretty pricey, although about the same as other steak houses. I don't like the fact hat the tables are squeezed so close together and it's a bit too loud. Nothing really stood out in the food for me and I don't want to go back too soon. However, it's probably one of the better options in this area for a steak. read more

It's hard to get amped up for a meal in a shopping mall, but an experience at Wildfire may change your mind. While Wildfire does have a lot of typical elements of a chain steakhouse, the atmosphere is still warm and inviting. Oh, and the food is really tasty too. For those who dont want to spend an arm and a leg, I would recommened visiting for a weekend brunch. The menu items are far more affordable, but of equally high quality. The eggs Benedict was quite good... But hey, there is no shame ordering a big steak for brunch either. They also bring around this dessert tray to try to temp you into ordering more food even after you are full--it's genius. Overall, it's a great place to eat. While it definitely evokes the chain steakhouse, the food is delicious and that's really what it's all about. Pros: Great food & ingredients, comfortable interior, convenient location at Prarie Center Mall, free parking lot Cons: Pricey, has a chain restaurant feel at times read more

Ordered takeout and had the charbroiled cheeseburger. It needed a little more salt. The fries were good and individually packaged per person also which I found quite interesting. The coleslaw was pretty good too. The hamburger bun was slightly bigger than the burger itself but the burger itself was a big size and more than enough to fill you up especially during lunch. I think it would've tasted better if they included onions, mayo and mustard. The meat was cooked medium which is perfect. Just wished it had more seasoning. Was told that the chopped salad was to die for but didn't get that. Would like to go sit inside one day but so far, this place is okay. read more

If you can get over the looping Frank Sinatra music playing and the cramped tables, this is the steak joint for you. Hands down, it was of the best ribeyes that I have had in the area. Yes, I will go there, better than Manny's and WAY less expensive too........ We started with Calamari, Spinach and Artichoke Fondue and the Scallop Skewers. I love apps - these apps have to be in the top 1% of apps I have ever had, in fact, my party of six almost ordered another round! Just delightful! One of the reasons I wanted to review my ribeye is that I had it topped with Blue Cheese. NOTE ---- this is not a crust but a very large layer of blue cheese. I am not complaining, it was fabulous, but after eating about half the steak, the blue cheese's richness started to overtake the flavor of the steak. Just what does any blue cheese lover do? Hmmm, I scrapped it off and scooped it on my baked potato, yum yum yum. I do not like chains, and try hard to stay away. But with a large party it was hard to find accommodations........ They hooked us up and I was very pleasantly surprised, in fact, I am planning my next business meeting there! read more

We were going to a restaurant that no longer exists and ended up at Wildfire because we wanted something different. Wow! Brooke took amazing care of us. Crab cakes out of this world, beet and goat cheese salad amazing. Even my husband who only likes Caesar salad loved it. Our steak and lobster. Over done. Brooke didn't miss a beat, got it fixed right away. It was worth it! Melt in your mouth steak, fall off the fork lobster. Thank you for your hospitality and delicious food. I really love the atmosphere here, it's got that speakeasy old times vibe. A little loud but a casual and comfortable atmosphere for what I think is actually a pretty high end place in terms of food quality. Their steaks are top notch. Deliciously seasoned with the perfect level of char and they got it med rare just the way I like. The bone in filet mignon is highly recommended. read more

At lunch for 4, 2 of us ordered the tenderloin ( my recommendation on my past experience). We both ordered it med rare. They came almost well done with a small bit of pink. The appearance and taste(very salty) Were that it had not been cooked fresh. ($19.+ each))Neither of us could finish the two pieces we were served because of the excess spice. Her side was mashed potatoes which she liked. Mine was the wild rice. There was very little wild rice and the whole dish-was definitely not made that day. My husband had the pork chop with a parm topping. Again not fresh that day. Our bill without the tip for the 4 of us was over $100. We did have their famous chopped salad to start and no desserts. Since we were in a hurry, we did not complain to management, just figured they pre-prep food for the lunch crowd. We won't be back! BTW, the dining room was almost empty at 1:00 on a Monday. So perhaps it is already known this restaurant is not consistent in quality. read more

Absolutely pleased with everything. Atmosphere and customer service and food. I've been going to Wildfire for years and years and it's such a great place. My family and I have been going to the Thanksgiving dinner the past couple years and so very pleased with being able to not have to cook or travel far for a great Thanksgiving meal with the kids. Wildfire is connected to the Eden Prairie Center mall. It is surprisingly good for a "mall restaurant." The roasted chicken, the daily duck special, and the shrimp cocktail were all delicious. Of special note is the wedge salad (I know, what's special about a quarter head of iceburg lettuce?). The dressing was the best blue cheese we have ever experienced. They supposedly have half-price apps during happy hour, but apparently that doesn't apply to the restaurant - just the bar area. In all, an excellent experience. We'll be back. read more

If you love a mean chopped salad, now this is the place for you. And if you enjoy take out from a classy restaurant, even better. I probably order their take out more than I have been inside for a meal, but every experience I have been fond of. Their specialty Citrus Lime Vinaigrette (which you can find at any local grocery store), plus the corn and tortillas is really what makes this salad incredibly delicious. And if you go ahead and order the large to go, it comes in 2 large boxes, that comfortably serve around two people each. It also comes with a loaf of bread and butter. You can ask for additional loaves (free of charge), but requires a little extra tip. I just had it tonight with the fam, and can't wait to crack open the second box tomorrow for lunch. Yay for leftovers! read more

I had never been here before, but I came with my date who had insisted that this was one of the best places to come and order a quality steak. He had been to this location and the Wildfire in Chicago a handful of times... Even though I was the rookie here, he was definitely not! I am so happy he chose this place. As a starter we opted for the chicken chopped salad, which was a good size portion had excellent flavor. For someone who doesn't eat salads everyday this was tasty. For my meal I ordered a Parmesan crusted Fillet Mignon and Au gratin potatoes... Simply delicious. I ate my entire steak, however I think I had only two bites of the potatoes... They were very good, but I was way too stuffed to finish them. I also ordered my meal with a glass of Sauvignon blanc. Our waiter was very friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. The ambiance was chic and very classy. The lighting was dim, the decor seemed very Old World-esque with dark woods and leather. I was an immediate fan, and would love to visit here again and I would definitely recommend this place to any of my friends. read more

3 1/2 stars, a bit better than just A-OK. For starters, I like the decor. Dimly lit, but not too dark. A low level buzz for noise, but quiet enough to carry on a conversation. On the high side for prices. I think I'd rather venture downtown Minneapolis for a steak experience. Spinach & Artichoke Fondue was very good. This is my default appetizer order if it's on the menu. Ordered one of the evening specials. Filet Mignon was requested medium rare, served rare. But it still tasted good. Grilled shrimp had a nice spice to it. Au Gratin Potatoes were buttery and creamy, the baked sweet potato was big enough to share...and I did! Trio of Desserts was tasty. Key Lime pie was the perfect blend of sweet & pucker! Chocolate & Peanut Butter Pie was yummy. Why do restaurants put things like brownies & vanilla ice cream on their menu's? I'm assuming it's for the non-adventurous. This adventurous diner had a nice meal. It's didn't knock my socks off, but then again I wasn't wearing any :) read more

The mushroom flavor was the standout for me. It also arrived with a breadstick that had a distinctly Fazoli's-esque vibe. I did not dare eat it. Overall, I'd dine here again. Outstanding service here. The staff are friendly, professional, and service oriented. Too many outstanding servers and staff to name - my friend says it's like family here, a really cool experience. Great steaks, apps, and drinks! I love the salads, the beef wellington on Saturdays is a must have, as is the cherry pie (unfortunately served only in the spring), everyone orders the chopped salad. The salmon and pork chips are hidden gems on the menu. I find the kitchen inconsistent, amazing when it's on, amateur when it's not. For example the shrimp are consistently not cleaned well in the shrimp cocktail, wrong temperature on the steak, missing that extra side of ketchup. If you mention it, they'll graciously make it right in a flash but there are such dumb things that go unnoticed and never get rectified. read more
