Very uninviting store front. Visited on one occasion to purchase tile for two bathrooms and a laundry room. In total about 160 square feet of tile. I could not get a response regarding the price of several tiles. (I was in the process of deciding between a few). I could not get a response about purchasing a few samples to take home and mull over since they were so obviously too busy to speak with me. I went so far as to suggest I could make an appointment for later to get better service. I received an unsatisfactory response that left me feeling like they didn't care to do business with me. Let me start off by saying at the very beginning I had a great experience. Lauren was great and understanding. One of The stars is for her and the other star for the tile guys which did an awesome job but unfortunately don't work with wine country Stoneworks that often. I was getting a semi-kitchen remodel, new countertops backsplash and a custom hood made along with a few other small items. The start of the project went smooth but when it came to installation and finish work that's when everything went wrong, Francisco which I believe is their main woodworker is just a complete hack he is a very nice guy and I believe means well but just does not have it in him to do finish work. When he arrived to install the hood he did not bring a level in which the hood was completely crooked I will add pictures of everything. When Francisco came the second time to finish up and paint/repair a couple scratches that him and the countertop guys had done to my existing cabinets I believe it was about an hour and a half he completed I would say should have been a full days worth of work. I had given him paint for my existing cabinets but he insisted on using his own which did not match at all also pictured is a portion that should have been sanded but he just painted over it. The shelves were made by him which look good but he did a terrible masking job and had overspray on just about every corner. So at this time I had taken pictures sent them to Lauren and asked for another person to come repair everything because I did not trust Francisco. Lauren agreed with me and sent another crew that had fixed all of Francisco's screwup's. That day I was at work and Shannon the owner showed up to look things over, she spoke with my wife and was actually very rude, was not being professional at all, my wife will explain in her review. Shannon had mentioned to my wife that if I wanted to be such a perfectionist then I should be there watching them work, unfortunately I have to go to work myself to pay for the kitchen remodel, thought I was hiring professionals that didn't need babysitting. read more

Was a little hesitant at first cause did not see any yelp reviews. But still, Called up Shannon that afternoon and next morning Shannon was in my kitchen measuring my counter tops. So same day me and the wife went to the office (which very nice and professional) to pick out stone for counter tops and the next day demo and installation of new plywood was happing. Very fast turn around which I needed and requested because had family visiting for the holidays, 1 week later I have new counter tops! Having had a call from Shannon as well as reading her comments, I still feel I was not treated well by the company. I understand mistakes can be made, but felt an apology was needed or compensation made. Offering me $100 off future work that I might never need was of no use. Jose did a great job and the remaining granite slab was delivered in good time so I have no issue with that. I know Shannon isn't happy with my review but I wasn't happy with aspects of my job. But I have my opinion and prefer to leave things as they stand without constant back and forth comments. read more

Have you ever wanted to just buy a smaller piece (36" x 60") of granite? Nearly impossible! Most stone establishments have very high minimum's or you have to buy a full slab of granite - they just don't want to be bothered with small jobs. Hello Shannon at Wine Country! When meeting with her, I explained what I needed. She asked that I give her about 1 week, as she had to talk to a few of her contractors to see if they had any remnant pieces that could work for me. About 1 week later, as promised, I was given a selection of a few pieces and chose one. Although she was very busy and I was not a big project client, she worked with me and delivered a beautiful piece at an honest price.
