I really enjoyed the atmosphere, the music was really nice , the lights were dim, the bar tenders were very attentive and knew the menu. The bar was clean and the service was great. The food was exceptional, Yard house really did a great job on everything. The skirt steak arrachera was the best steak i've had so far. My table of four ordered waters for all, and one beer for one of my friends. The waitress was very kind and brought our drinks in a timely manner for how busy it was. I started out my appetizers with a onion ring tower. The onion ring tower was exquisite. There was the perfect amount Of batter to onion ratio. We ordered the BLT, poke nachos, lobster garlic noodles, and the Vampire tacos. The poke nachos were awesome they tasted like they had real fresh fish. The double Dekker BLT was overall very good. It was very tall like what you would expect a double Dekker to be, perfect crunchy bacon. The lobster garlic noodles were real good I enjoyed that there was large amounts of lobster. The noodles were very tasty and had awesome shiitake mushrooms incorporated in. The tacos had a good tasting inside. Here are the negatives. The lobster garlic noodles had way to much oil in the bottom and the tacos had a bad tasting shell, the rice had a bad flavor and texture. The price for the tacos were $27 for a size of small appetizers. None of us would think about buying these tacos for appetizers or even for a meal. By the end of us eating and about to pay everybody accept the person eating the poke nachos had stomach aches and we're feeling sick. I ordered the ahi for appetizer which was really good but ordered tacos as my entree...food cold I'm talking about COLD it had been sitting up there for quite some time super salty but without flavor, my daughters pizza was raw as in like the crust. Waited for maybe an hour for our food which I don't mind waiting. Third times the charm, food again cold, drinks were not as good as the 1st time. Idk what happened but the bartender (a different one) didn't look like he wanted to be there. For a bar/restaurant, this place held their ground. We had a big party that took two tables. I have to tip my hat for our waiter who had to deal with our rowdy group. He was very patient and helpful with the whole process. As for the food, I have to say that they did it right. The onion rings were crispy and seasoned well. The nachos were loaded with toppings. The chicken was a bit minimal and a little dry, but it was good. There was a seafood dip with dips and pita bread. The dip tasted creamy and had a crab flavor. Three words-Best Happy Hour. Waikiki is not the usual hang out spot for locals but every now and then we find ourselves living that staycation life or entertaining friends and fam who come to visit. In my case, it's mother dearest who visits once a year from Las Vegas. Since we stay at the Sheraton Waikiki, we often come here for their late night happy hour. Their selection of happy hour deals for food is just as impressive as their long-list of beers on tap. Our favorites are the pizzas, poke nachos, the ahi sashimi and the spinach cheese dip. The sliders are meh, and so are their servers. Each time I've come here, I've gotten the same mediocre service. Yay for being consistent, I guess? Thank goodness they're not downright rude but they don't seem personable either. Happy Hour must be not be so happy for them. Whatever the case, I'm glad there's good food and good beer to help me get over it. read more

Me and my other friend wanted to try something special from here, but my other friend was picky and didn't like this and that..so we ordered the most..common food you can get at pizza hut. A little bit disappointed, but it's alright. The pizza had around 10 slices I think. I didn't really like it because the dough was really thin and hard. I like my pizza dough soft and chewy. This is probably the one chain restaurant that I don't mind going to and would even recommend. It doesn't really feel like a chain to me because they offer a Hawaii themed local style menu and although there are tourists here, it really doesn't feel like it's an overrun tourist destination. The location is also key too- I love the Lewers Street area. It's pretty crowded here and you'll want to go early - they have long booth tables to fit your party and my favorite are the ones near the open bay windows along the edge of the restaurant. The menu offers a good selection of food for almost any palate but not too much to make it overwhelming. read more

We used to have a YH in Va Beach and loved it, so when we moved to Oahu, we were happy to see a familiar place. We love the food and my husband likes their selection of beers. My husband had a gig in Waikiki yesterday and we hadn't been to YH in a long time, so we decided to eat there for dinner after the gig. Plus, the BIG bonus for us is that I am a HUGE fan of their Kids menu. I am often disappointed with the poor options that quality restaurants offer our little humans. I mean, how am I supposed to introduce my little Foodies-in-training with new foods, if they offer delicious and beautiful food to me and then give them such plain and sad looking food?! When we go to places like that, my kids often (not always) end up asking for what's on my plate and that is a problem for me, because I want to eat my food! LOL...End of rant. So that being said, I love YH's Kids Menu (pics included). What we ate: It was Happy Hour (which is a great selection for their food menu), so my husband and I shared the Calamari (served with a marinara sauce and a creamy tartar like sauce); The Carnivore Pizza and the Chicken Lettuce Wraps (comes with 2 different sauces). All tasty and generous portions. The calamari was cooked to perfection and love the crispy crust on it. It is so easy to screw up Calamari, but YH makes it on point! Not chewy or rubbery at all. The pizza is supposed to be a personal pizza and my husband devours it ALL bc he's a pizza man, but it definitely can be shared along with other things. The Chicken Lettuce Wraps never disappoints. We ordered my oldest her favorite here, the Spaghetti and Meatballs (Turkey) with a side of fruit. It's so tasty and also a generous portion. We had to box half of it. And or my youngest, her current obsession is Mac and Cheese at restaurants and she chose a side of fruit and we also had to box half of it. Service: Our waitress was so sweet and very attentive. Kept checking on us and joking around with the kids. One of the managers came around too, to bring some of our food and told us to let him know if we needed anything. There are multiple people coming by to bring you different things so you don't ever really need to call anyone if you need anything. Ambiance: This location is in Waikiki, so naturally it is always busy. I don't think I have ever seen it not busy and we have been here at all times of day. I feel like it's a little dark in there at all hours of the day and it's part of their look and decor, but they have sufficient lighting. They have screens all around the restaurants so it's a great place to watch current sports events too if you are looking for that while you are down there. Parking: When we go, we either park in the lot in front of Ft. De Russy and get it validated or we park at the Royal Hawaiian Center. You can get it validated with a $10 purchase and it's first hour free, $2/hour for the 2nd and 3rd hour. I usually get a shave ice and/or get a coffee for the drive back! At least you get something for the $10 instead of just paying to park! Kid Friendly? - Well, I'm sure by now, if you have read this far, you know that it is. Probably best to dine in rather than have your food delivered. Paid $6-$8 for tacos that should've been paired with two more tacos for the size that we received it in. It's the size you'd find when you order the 3 mini asada tacos kine! Ahhh no kan! No flavor and no character. Store bought frozen chimichangas and burritos probably taste better. We got the Baja Fish, Asada, and Pork belly. Disappointed. My wife got their vodka pasta. Which tasted nothing like it looks and we paid $20 for a "regular" that looked so small brah. Plus the $10 bread pudding, I'm not even gonna go there. Probably our worst dinner in Hawaii since we've moved back. Spent $60 and got a D class experience. We have eaten here 3x while on our vacation in Honolulu. I have a gluten allergy, so their gluten sensitive menu has been awesome. The first two times I got different burgers (the pork and the beyond burger) and they were delicious and I had no trouble. The third time I ordered the kale and romaine Caesar with chicken and got sick about 10 minutes after leaving lunch. The restaurant was very friendly when we called to let them know about it and to just make sure everyone was being careful. Even still, this has been my favorite lunch spot while we've been here. My boyfriend & I dine here quite often for people who don't come to Waikiki much. Every time we come, the service we get varies but it's mostly mediocre. We're not difficult people & our orders are pretty much the same every time we come here. We wait between half an hour to an hour and a half just to get our yardhouse fix, so when we finally get a seat & our server is rude.. it just throws my whole attitude off. My boyfriend & I normally split the steak & shrimp dinner, the spicy jambalaya w/spicy rice, & he orders an ala carte Taco sometimes. The food is good obviously which is why we always come back, but the service we get from time to time really makes me cringe when my boyfriend craves to eat here. It was a Wednesday night that I stepped foot into the Yard House for the very first time. I was there to meet with couple friends to have a early Christmas dinner. As I made my way to the entrance the hostess said "how many people in your party?" I answered "I'm here to meet up with couple friends." She says "you can go inside and look for your friends." I started walking more into the restaurant. I walked by the bar area. I walked passed the hallway for the restrooms. I was in one of the aisles when one of my friends greeted me with a hug. I followed my friend to the back of the restaurant. My friend led me to a booth where our mutual friend was sitting. The booth was located next to the kitchen swinging doors. I sat across of my two friends. The waitress came and handed me the drink menu and the food menu. Looking over the drink menu I ordered a drink similar to Lychee Martini. My friends informed me that they would normally dine at the Yard House during Happy Hour. Bummers...I showed up half hour later. Reading the food menu I spotted "clam chowder". I ordered a bowl of clam chowder as my starter. I also ordered the crusted pork loin dish for my meal. My drink arrived at the table. I tasted the alcoholic beverage and noticed that it was really strong. Several minutes went by before the clam chowder came out. The waitress asked if I wanted some pepper added to the soup. I said "Yes please." My dinner finally arrived at the table. Crusted pork loin with sides of broccolini and mashed potatoes. The pork loin was cooked perfectly plus it was really tender and very delicious. Broccolini, a cross between broccoli and gai lan (Chinese broccoli), was cooked perfectly. The mashed potatoes which was made out of sweet potatoes was something different to my taste buds. I have never eaten mashed sweet potatoes until I dined at Yard House. A person can really taste the sweetness in the mashed potatoes. Between bites I glanced around the restaurant and spotted a flat screen television. One of my friends mentioned that Yard House is considered as a sports bar though not many people come to watch the television. Overall I enjoyed dining at Yard House with my friends. Hopefully next time I'll be able to check out the Happy Hour menu and taste a pupu item while sitting at the bar. 77/100 read more

Ive been here twice so far & must say... I will most likely be returning. Im not going to lie, its kind of hard to write a fair review since Ive only tried the appetizers. I can say though that the truffle fries were BOMB! Poke Nachos were just okay to me, the fish was bland and a little too soft for my liking. Jerk wings were good, obviously not authentic Jamaican Jerk but the flavors were really close. I really did enjoy it. Vampire taco... sounded a lot better on paper than it tasted in my opinion. Pomegranate martini... skip the heck out of it! Tastes like cough medicine. I would love to go back to try an entree, there were just Sooooooo many options & thats not a bad thing at all but I do find myself pretty indecisive when it comes to food because I always want to make sure I get the best thing on the menu. read more

My friends had the lamb burger, garlic noodles, and chicken salad. Both of them enjoyed it a lot. The lamb burger came with fries...perfectly cooked to their liking. Somehow I thought I had done a review of this place before because it's one of our "consistent" spots when we're in Waikiki...that being said, a good spot to either start or end an evening. This time around it was neither, just a late afternoon lunch. While Yard House is a chain, I've found it to be consistent, it's nothing super exciting. The place wasn't busy so we easily sat at a near empty bar upon walking in but within 30 minutes, half the side of the bar had filled up. A pleasant, efficient and knowledgeable bartender can really make everything better or worse. Rebekah took care of the entire bar and was excellent. I made an effort to remember her name because well, not only was she pregnant, she knows her stuff! Little things like getting our order in before she got slammed with other customers, switching the sports channel, and making a feisty/spicy Bloody Mary for the hubby goes a long way. I have much respect for a good bartender because it brought back memories of when I use to hustle back in my bartending days! Overall, it's a great place for lunches to dinners to happy hours to night caps! Known for its vast selection of mainly beer, they offer tons of spirits, wines, plus plenty of non-alcoholic drinks as well as a variety of food options. Hubs and I are like creatures of habit especially when we're jet lagged and just ordered our usual pupus. The poke stack and guac and chips (but it can alternate between the calamari or lettuce wraps). Both items hit the spot. After refueling, we were ready to make our way back to the hotel for some rest and relaxation. Tip: M-F Happy hour starts at 2-530p with drink specials and $5-8 pupu specials...a much better deal. My husband and I absolutely love coming here. Every time we have a date night - we come here. We are in love with the edamame gotta get the spicy one. It's amazing!! We usually only get burgers but the last few times we decided to explore more of the menu. I would be giving this three and a half stars but I couldn't. However they're getting 4 stars because of the food. The service on the other hand, pretty much sucks. I feel like I see my waiter twice, once to order, next the check. I get that it's located in Waikiki and there's always a really long wait and it's always super busy.
